Beyonce and JAY-Z are reportedly fighting with David Charvet and Brooke Burke-Charvet
Is a neighbor-war breaking out between Beyonce and JAY-Z and David Charvet and Brooke Burke-Charvet? While Bey and Jay proceed with closing on a $100 million mansion in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles, they're renting a $400,000-a-month home in Malibu. The Malibu pad happens to sit next door to a property David Charvet and Brooke Burke-Charvet are developing β and the construction is reportedly creating some drama. "BeyoncΓ© and Jay keep complaining about noise," said one insider quoted by InTouch. "The cops were even called a few times, halting construction." The source added, "Bey and Jay even complained about the taco truck that pulls up for the workers' lunch." To be fair, managing newborn twins and a 5-year-old while living next door to a construction site doesn't sound too appealing.

Blake Lively urges followers to protest transgender ban in the military
When Donald Trump announced plans to ban transgender people from serving in the military, Hollywood was quick to speak out against the move on social media. Blake Lively's condemnation was among the most gracious. "THIS is America. WE the people. ALL THE PEOPLE." she wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of soldiers marching with an array of flags, including a rainbow flag. "Today I stand with our fellow citizens," she continued. "No human being is a burden. I believe in equality. In freedom. In opportunity. In kindness, acceptance, and fairness. I believe in this country, so I, and many others, sign the ["Allow Transgender People in the U.S. Military Change.org] petition linked in the bio. Please join..πππΊπΈππ." When a follower responded with, "You catching that unfollow for this" Blake offered a serene response. "I choose love. That's the only thing that we all have," she wrote in the comments. "It is peace. It is happiness. Not follows or unfollows. I wish happiness for you. And I hope you find that your heart has a bigger capacity than you give it credit for. I know it does."
Amy Schumer is the only woman on Forbes' highest-paid comedians list
Like Blake Lively, Amy Schumer defended transgender troops on social media after Donald Trump's ban announcement, writing, "We are grateful to our transgender soldiers. You are no burden. You are heroes. Fβ that noise. We are with you." She knows something about being in the minority, too. This week, Forbes released its list of the world's highest-paid comedians. For the second year in a row, she was the only woman on it. With her $37.5 million income, Amy came in at No. 5 this year, one spot lower than her No. 4 ranking in 2016 (although she earned $20 million more in 2017, according to E! News). Last year, Amy made history when she became the first woman to even make it onto the list. Other front-runners this year include Jerry Seinfeld ($69 million), Chris Rock ($57 million) and Louis C.K. ($52 million).

Jason Bateman reflects on moving forward from his partying past
The newest star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame belongs to Jason Bateman, whose new Netflix series, "Ozark," debuted earlier this week. After "Ozark," he'll return to playing Michael Bluth on "Arrested Development," but as he explained to the Daily Beast in a recent interview, things haven't always been so booming in the actor's career department, thanks in part to a decade in which he indulged in what he once called "Risky Business"-level imbibing. "To be honest, I don't know how much people think about me, period," he said, after making a crack about cocaine that reminded the reporter Jason has a dark side. (Or at least a side that, as Jennifer Aniston once shared, inspired him to drive a Range Rover backwards up a street in Colorado with the door open during a party.) "I think people maybe see me as someone they might be familiar with, and they've seen me in a couple of things," Jason continued, "but I don't think most people are aware that there was a period where I really enjoyed partying instead of working, and then I got a job that really allowed me a second shot and I didn't throw it away, and I really tried to build on that new relevance and access. I really tried to keep that going so that, now that I'm an adult and need to provide for a family, I've got a job after the next one."
Jenelle Evans: 'I was so close to dying'
Five years ago, Jenelle Evans knew she was at rock bottom when she overdosed on heroin at her boyfriend's mother's house in New Jersey. Now, she hopes telling her story will encourage greater awareness about the severity of opioid addiction in the U.S. "I basically blacked out. And woke up not remembering anything," the "Teen Mom 2" star tells Us Weekly of her 2012 overdose. "I was appalled β I couldn't believe that happened. I really was so close to dying." At the time, her relationship with her mother was less strained than it is now, so she called her mom and asked for her help. And then she got clean. "I quit cold turkey. I just went to my mom's house and rode it out," she recalls. "I started to go through withdrawals for the first time. I didn't know it would be like the worst flu I've ever had for seven days. First, you have insomnia, then you can't eat, then you have panic attacks, then hot and cold sweats for a week, uncontrollable shaking and your joints hurt. You can die from trying to withdraw on your own. I luckily did it safely. But I said to myself, 'I'm done. I can't ever go through this again.'" These days, Jenelle is sober and happily engaged to her fiance David Eason, although she has little contact with her mother because of their custody battle for Jenelle's son Jace. As for her addictive past, she hopes she's in a position to help others. "I want to bring attention to how severe the heroin epidemic is," she says. "It's horrible. It is like a disease and needs to be treated like it."
Snoop Dogg lawsuit tossed out by judge
Snoop Dogg is out of the doghouse in a lawsuit filed by concertgoers who claimed they were injured at a show. The incident took place at a Snoop/Wiz Khalifa concert in Camden, New Jersey, last year, when a railing was knocked down by the surging crowd, causing fans to fall down 10 feet onto concrete. Seventeen of the 42 people who were injured, sent their lawyers after the rappers and Live Nation, claiming Snoop and Wiz incited the rush that led to their injuries. According to TMZ, Snoop's legal team got him off the hook by arguing that the case against him was invalid since he lives in California and it was filed in Pennsylvania. Proceedings against Wiz and Live Nation are reportedly going forward.
Chester Bennington will have a private memorial: Report
In the wake of Chester Bennington's death, fans have paid tribute to the late Linkin Park singer on social media and at vigils like the one held in New York City's Central Park two days after his death. According to TMZ, however, they won't be invited to honor him at his funeral. The website reports Chester's family is planning to have a private service and will find a way for fans to say goodbye at a later date. The family is also unlikely to purchase the plot next to Chester's late friend Chris Cornell because they feel it's "too public" for his final resting place. Chester was found dead in his Los Angeles home on July 20. His death is being treated as a suicide pending an autopsy.
Madonna will donate damages payment to Malawi hospital after privacy breach
A pediatric hospital in Malawi is getting a boost thanks to what Madonna's lawyer called "an invasion of privacy" by the publisher of the Daily Mail. After the Mail revealed details about Madge's plans to adopt her daughters Stella and Estere, the singer sued Associated Newspapers on grounds the story could have "threatened the integrity and/or outcome of the adoption process which would have had potentially life-changing implications for the girls." According to the New York Post. Madonna has now accepted a payment covering legal costs and damages stemming from the suit and will donate them to the Malawi hospital of her choice.
