It's been one year since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle began their pond-crossing love affair ad as a source recently told E! News, the two are "in an extremely solid and happy place at the moment." Although the couple didn't reveal their relationship until November, British tabs began reporting Harry and Meghan had been seeing each other for months in October 2016. "They aren't rushing ahead at a ridiculous speed or making rash decisions," said the E! News insider. "But, yes, they love each other very much and neither could imagine being without the other." Earlier this month, a source told the website Harry would likely propose before the end of the year.

Rihanna's Fenty Beauty to debut Sept. 8

In just over a month, RiRi fans will be able to match their Rihanna-designed shoes with their makeup. The singer announced this week that her new beauty line Fenty Beauty will be available Sept. 8. "@FentyBeauty is coming!!!! Countdown to September. 8. 2017 starts now," she posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 1. "#FENTYBeauty makeup will be available globally at @sephora and @harveynichols Link us at FentyBeauty.com." In addition to her sneaker line for Puma, Rihanna has a capsule jewelry collection with Chopard, which she launched during the Cannes Film Festival.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are just days away from their second wedding anniversary and though they're happy together now, they've had to work to get to this place. An insider tells People (via the Daily Mail) "it took them a while to figure everything out, adding that they had some "difficulty" and that getting married "was a big deal for both of them." Busy work schedules were part of the problem, the source said, but they've figured out how to make their jobs and relationship work. "It's possible that this marriage would not have worked if they were in their 20s, but they aren't," said the source. "They are great friends and have total respect for each other." Jennifer and Justin said "I do" at their home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles on Aug. 5, 2015.

Lorde on her creative independence: 'You're the only one who has to go home and still be you'

If Lorde seems more relatable than your average pop star, it may be because she's all about being herself. "The main thing is that you're the only one who has to go home and still be you and live with what you've done that day," the "Melodrama" singer says in the new issue of Fashion magazine (via the Daily Mail). "When it comes to making a decision about something, if people say I should go a certain way, I think, 'You guys get to go home and take off the hat. I never get to take off the hat." Lorde, 20, also opens up about her creative process. She admits that despite being "hyper-musical," she plays no instruments and is not musical "in the traditional way." "I write the songs with different chords because I know exactly what I want chord-wise and then I sing out the chords," she says. "The process is very much about me having a conversation with myself. It's a very private process." It's also a process she enjoys because of the challenge it presents. "I do love that people hear the work," she adds. "I think it would be sad if people didn't."

After Zayn Malik left One Direction in 2015, it was hard for his close friends in the band to keep their relationship the way it was when they were a team. But as Louis Tomlinson told the Sun earlier this month, his mom encouraged him to "get back in contact" with his his old friend in spite of their seemingly different paths. "We got back in touch with each other and kind of cleared the air and talked everything through," he told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" (via Us Weekly) on Monday, July 31. "So we're mates again, I suppose." Rekindling the friendship doesn't sound like it's been totally smooth, though. "Like anything like that, it takes time," he said. "But it was nice that we had an opportunity to clear the air and be adults about it, I suppose." Speaking to the Sun, Louis opened up more about his friendship with his former bandmate. "I could always break the rules a little bit with Zayn," he said. "So after that whole thing, it was that brotherly love. We will always have that love for each other. I can't speak on behalf of him but we really care about each other."

On "Watch What Happens Live" on Tuesday, Aug. 1, Andy Cohen grilled James Van Der Beek about his experience on "Dawson's Creek" — and his costars. Asked if he was surprised Katie, who played his character's on-off love interest on the show, married Tom in 2006, just three years after their "Dawson's Creek" came to an end, James simply said "yes" (via the Daily Mail). Maybe that's because Katie — and her character Joey Potter — seemed like she was going to end up with Joshua Jackson in real life, as Joey did with Josh's character Pacey onscreen. "We are not cute kids anymore," Joshua joked last year after Ellen DeGeneres suggested it was time for "Dawson's Creek" reunion. "It's been a long time," he added. "I mean, we're holding up OK, but I think if you put the four of us now next to the four of us then, it might be a little shocking."

How serious is Beyonce about her basketball fandom? Serious enough to potentially buy a team valued at $1.65 to $2 billion, apparently. According to Bloomberg, Bey is considering buying a stake in her hometown's Houston Rockets. Earlier this month, the team's owner Les Alexander announced he was selling the Rockets. Bey's husband JAY-Z sold his minority share in his own hometown team the Brooklyn Nets in 2013 so as to avoid any potential conflicts of interest when he created his Roc Nation Sports agency.

Laura Linney reveals the downside about having a child at 49

It's been more than three years since Laura Linney, now 53, had her first child. And while she understands the risks that came along with having a baby at 49, she doesn't seem to have many regrets. "I'm certainly not an advocate for having children later, but for me, it's been wonderful and I'm deeply grateful," she told the Guardian in a recent interview. "People would say to me, 'Your life's going to change.'" She laughed. "Good! I want my life to change …" The one negative she faces with her husband Marc Schauer? "… the bittersweet reality of chronology." Laura explained she understands it will be harder for her son Bennett to lose his parents when he's relatively young. "I hope to prepare him in a way that whenever … I mean, anybody could die at any moment, but you know, my being alive when he's 50 is unlikely. Even 40 is unlikely. But other than that, there's no downside. None," she said. "I can remember being awake at 4.30 a.m. with him when he was an infant and loving it. When you don't think it's going to happen for you and somehow it does, there is a spiritual aspect that's undeniable. You don't take it for granted."

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has dismissed criticism of the president's comments — in which he asked police not to be "too nice" when dealing with suspects — as a "joke." "When you see these thugs getting thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them getting thrown in, rough … I said, 'Please don't be too nice,'" the president said last week. "When you guys put somebody in the car and you're protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over? Like, don't hit their head, and they just killed somebody — don't hit their head. I said, 'You can take the hand away, OK?'"

Michael Strahan 'lost a little bit of [his] pinky'

Ouch! Turns out Michael Strahan's absence from "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Aug. 1, was related to an injury. "I had a little accident, lost a little bit of my pinky," he admitted after getting his finger cared for (via ET). Michael's rep told ET the pinky loss was not related any previous injuries. Whatever happened, it hasn't stopped the crew at "GMA" from teasing the former NFL pro. "A guy before just said, 'Michael, we pinky swear,'" Michael cracked. "There's going to be a lot of jokes for a while, but I'm OK and glad to be back."
