Networks vying for Felicity Huffman's first post-prison interview
Within days of being released from prison, TV networks were vying to nab the first interview with Felicity Huffman following her 11-day stint behind bars for her role in a college admissions cheating scandal. According to TMZ, the "Desperate Housewives" star has been approached by CNN's Anderson Cooper, CBS's Gayle King, NBC's Savannah Guthrie, and ABC's George Stephanopoulos about sitting down to discuss the fallout from her decision to pay a middleman $15,000 to boost her daughter's SAT scores.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss no longer creating new "Star Wars" trilogy
"Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are no longer working on a new trilogy set in the "Star Wars" universe. The TV writer-producers released a statement to The Wrap confirming the news: "We love Star Wars. When George Lucas built it, he built us too. Getting to talk about Star Wars with him and the current Star Wars team was the thrill of a lifetime, and we will always be indebted to the saga that changed everything." They cited their busy schedules as the reason for pulling out, explaining, "we felt we could not do justice to both Star Wars and our Netflix projects."

John Witherspoon and Bernard Slade passed away
Comedian John Witherspoon (pictured) died on Oct. 29 at 77 at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. The "Friday" and "The Wayans Bros." show actor's family confirmed the news with a statement: "We are all in shock, please give us a minute for a moment in privacy and we will celebrate his life and his work together. John used to say 'I'm no big deal,' but he was huge deal to us." Bernard Slate — the creator of "The Partridge Family" — died at his Beverly Hills home on Oct. 30 at 89 from complications of Lewy body dementia.

Kim Kardashian West sues makeup app for $10 million
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian West has filed a lawsuit against a makeup app for $10 million. The reality TV star and beauty brand mogul alleges that iHandy used one of her social media pictures to make it look like she was using their app. The company responded, claiming it didn't realize it was Kim, which her legal team found ridiculous. Kim wants the company to pay for the cost of licensing her photo and wants any profits it made from using her photo.
Whoopi Goldberg asks Meghan McCain to respect different opinions
Another day, another drama on "The View." While discussing President Donald Trump's call with Ukraine, Meghan McCain and Joy Behar got into a heated screaming match on Oct. 29. In an attempt to calm things down, Whoopi Goldberg intervened and got the brunt of Meghan's anger. "This show has always had the ability to have different points of view," Whoopi said, "which we respect around the table. When we talk to each other, we also exhibit respect. So, when I'm saying to you, 'Hold up, because we're not hearing each other,' I'm not trying to cut you off, I'm trying to get you heard."
"Supernatural" production not affected by Jared Padalecki's arrest
Jared Padalecki was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication after visiting a club back home in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 27 during a break from shooting "Supernatural." His The CW TV show — which films in Vancouver — is about halfway through production of its 15th and final season. Jared's arrest is not expected to impact the show's filming schedule.
