It's hard to exactly follow what's going on here, but one thing we know for sure — we didn't expect this look from the usually stylish Dua! August 22 marks funny gal Kristen Wiig's birthday. Her worst fashion moment? We pick a really recent one — her 2020 Oscar gown. While the bright red Valentino gown certainly made a statement with its interesting structure, its the styling that lost us. It definitely didn't need those dramatic black gloves and the tan heels felt like an odd decision.

Though we bet she wore something fabulous on her birthday — Aug. 9 — Gillian Anderson didn't score a fashion home run back at the Glamour Magazine Women of the Year Awards in 2015 in this disastrous Paolo Sebastian confection. The design featured all-over embroidery down its tea-length silhouette, but that actually wasn't our least favorite part of the look. It was the tulle cape-like addition that fell down to her knees.
You can't go wrong in red velvet. Gillian Anderson proved this at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards when she wore our favorite look to date — this gorgeous cap-sleeved velvet number with a plunging neckline and mermaid-style silhouette. Though we loved the hue of the purple Reem Acra gown that Melissa McCarthy wore to the 2019 Golden Globes, we weren't as wild about the silver star pattern that cheapened the frock. The excessive ruffles and belt detail also seemed unnecessary in our book, making this our least favorite look on the hilarious actress, who was born on Aug. 26.
But Melissa McCarthy looked impossibly glam at the 2019 BAFTAs in this St. John gown. The long sleeved, floor-length black frock was form-fitting and fabulous and paired perfectly with her bright red lip and slicked-back hairstyle.
Aug. 26 is Keke Palmer's birthday. The talented beauty is known for serving up some unexpected fashion, but this funky 2016 Comic-Con moment tops her worst dressed moments. The mismatched and bizarre ensemble — comprised of a pink sparkly jacket with floral embroidery and striped cuffs, a black embroidered bralette and a pair of camo-inspired bleached jeans with funky orange heels — was certainly one of the strangest looks we saw on a star at the convention that year.
Pretty in purple! Keke Palmer wowed at the Governors Awards in Los Angeles in 2019, making up for that unfortunate Comic-Con garb. She arrived on the red carpet in this exquisite Christian Siriano confection that uniquely included wide sleeves, a plunging neckline, a high-low hemline and a dramatic ruffled train.
We still remember Debra Messing's 2018 Golden Globes getup… but not with fond memories. The star, who celebrates her birthday on Aug. 15, arrived in this Christian Siriano dress-pants combo that majorly disappointed fashion watchers. From the weird cut of the beaded short-sleeved dress to the baggy pants, nothing about this look was redeemable in our eyes.
Debra Messing was feeling Jovani a few months later when she rocked this pretty purple frock by the designer at an event in Los Angeles in August 2018. We loved the bold color choice as well as the halter-style neckline, the cut-out along the bodice and the subtle slit in the skirt.
Aug. 29 marks the day Lea Michele blows out her birthday candles. Too bad the former "Glee" actress doesn't always light up the red carpet. Take this funky Elie Saab getup, for example. The star wore it to a Grammys party in 2018, and though we liked the idea of dark green velvet trousers, we couldn't embrace that busy ruffled top with the insanely low neckline she paired them with.
