The Rock tweets about reaction to 'Baywatch': 'Fans love it, critics hate it'
"Baywatch" hit theaters on Thursday, May 25, and almost immediately, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson began tweeting in earnest about the glaring difference between fans' and critics' reactions to the reboot. "Yay positive upticks 😂," he tweeted after someone posted that the film had "ticked up from 13% rotten to an 18% rotten tomato" on RottenTomatoes.com. "Fans LOVE the movie. Critics HATE it. What a glaring disconnect. People just want to laugh & have fun. #Baywatch🔥🤙🏾,," The Rock wrote in one of multiple posts about the movie's reception. "People peeing themselves from laughing has been reported in theaters across the country. It's better than the alternative," he joked in another. The Rock also joked to a fan that he'll "tell [co-star Zac] Efron his 28 pack abs did not impress you one bit." Despite the low critical rating on RottenTomatoes, The Rock found a few positive reviews as well, including one from Elle.com, which he tweeted about with a thank you to the writer. "'Biggest, stupidest, grossest and BEST summer movie' was the goal;)," he posted.

Why Miley Cyrus is so happy right now
If Miley Cyrus seems more stable and at ease these days, it's because she's genuinely happy and has figured out the importance of taking care of her personal needs, according to her mom, Tish and sister, Brandi. "Something I really respect about Miley is that she really does truly know what's important and what matters," Brandi tells E! News. "And that doesn't mean overworking herself and being on tour all year anymore. That means her family and her life at home and her animals and making the music she really loves and I think that's something that comes with age when you start to realize that and she's there and that's why I think she's so happy." Pointing to new music like the single "Malibu," Tish says her daughter is always honest about who she is and what she's dealing with, even when it comes to her music. "I think Miley is so real and every stage you see her in is truly the stage of her life that she's in," Tish says. "She's in such a great place, so happy, and I think the music really reflects that."
Rita Ora still suffers from anxiety after 2015 burglary
On Nov. 28, 2015, Rita Ora and her sister were sleeping at their home in London when a burglar broke in and stole more than $25,500 worth of their possessions. Until now, the singer hadn't spoken publicly about the incident other than in court. She broke her silence on the Bizarre Life podcast this week, reflecting on how the burglary continues to haunt her. "It still affects me, even today, going to sleep and things like that because just knowing that there was a stranger in your home is never really a nice feeling," she said, according to the New York Post. "It was harder for my sister also because she had the actual face-to-face encounter with the robber so it was difficult to get over that and we did the court cases and things, yeah, which was really scary." Although the burglar was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison, Rita admitted she can't shake the feelings of insecurity. "It was awful and you're in a home that you've made yourself that you now know isn't safe, so I've definitely upped my security about 200 percent," she said. "It's helped me actually talking about it to be honest, to kind of like get the scariness away from it."
Ed Sheeran to add 'lots of extra security measures' after Manchester
News that Ed Sheeran had added dates to his 2018 Australian tour came on the heels of the attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester this week. And according to Frontier Touring Company promoter Michael Gudinski, security will be heightened when Ed hits the road. "The world has changed since Manchester," he said, according to the Telegraph. "There are discussions going on between venue managers, the federal police and security. It's difficult when it happened outside the actual venue but that doesn't eradicate the problem. Frontier has always been on the front foot with this stuff. If the concerts were tomorrow it'd be a different story. There will be a lot of extra measures put in place," the promoter said. After learning about the attack, Ed tweeted, "So heartbreaking. Love and prayers for Manchester."
Fans' dad sends Ariana Grande an open letter about Manchester
When Ariana Grande got away from the horror and chaos that followed a suicide bomber's attack at the singer's concert in Manchester this week, she tweeted that she was "broken" and "so so sorry." Those words sparked Patrick Millsaps, a dad from Georgia, to write to Ariana reminding her the tragedy was not her fault. "I am a father of three daughters – ages 13, 12 and 12. So you have been a part of our family for years," he wrote in a letter that went viral after he shared it on Twitter. "After reading a tweet you posted on Twitter the other night; I'm afraid I need to set to set you straight girl. So listen up and receive some redneck love from a daddy of daughters," he continued. "You don't have a dagum thing to apologize for. If some jack— had gotten drunk and killed someone with his car next to your hotel in Manchester, would you feel responsible? If the night before your concert, a tornado hit Manchester and tragically killed several people who were going to your concert; would you feel the need to apologize? You see, you are no more responsible for the actions of an insane coward who committed an act in your proximity than you would be for a devastating natural disaster or acts of morons near your hotel." He went on to urge Ariana to "spend time with your God, your family and your friends who will give you space and support when you need it," adding, "When you and only when you are ready, on behalf of all the dads who love your… um… whose daughters love your music SING AGAIN." Patrick, 44, closed the letter by writing, "Music is the international language of peace. Every time you open your mouth and share that incredible God-given gift to the world, you make this crappy world a little less crappy. So there you go my dear, unsolicited advice from a fat dude in Georgia who loves his daughters and appreciates that there are people like you in the world. Take care of you first. Your fans aren't going anywhere." Since he shared it, the letter has been retweeted more than 21,000 times and liked by stars including Ariana, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.
Amber Portwood on sex tape offer: 'I hope my fans wouldn't judge me …'
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier are still working out whether to accept a sex tape offer from Vivid Entertainment. "It's in consideration. I still have not made up my mind," the "Teen Mom 2" star told E! News on Wednesday, May 24. "I am not strapped for cash. I have a nice house, a nice life. I have everything I need. But I'm a business person." If she goes through with it, she said she would use the money to open "rehab centers all over the world." Amber added that she's spoken to most of her family members about the potential deal, which TMZ reports includes an $85,000 advance. "… They told me they loved me no matter what," she said. Farrah Abraham, meanwhile, told Us Weekly she thinks the whole thing is a case of Amber envying Farrah, who made a sex tape in 2013. "It's sad how hard Amber tries to be me," she said. After seeing her comments, Matt pointed out he and Amber took Farrah's side when she lost her MTV role over the tape. "It bums me out that Farrah would say negative things and come at us like that. When she made her tape, MTV kicked her off the show," he said. "Amber and I were the only ones to support her and to this day we stand by that. Our issues with Farrah have nothing to do with her tape." As for her fans' reaction, Amber told E!, "I would hope my fans wouldn't judge me for trying to make more out of life."
