Britney Spears hits the beach in Hawaii as conservatorship drama continues
Britney Spears was spotted soaking up some sun by herself this week in her go-to vacay spot, Hawaii, where she's been enjoying a solo trip as her family navigates a new wave of drama. The singer, 37, wore a stunning yellow bikini in photos published by Page Six that showed her looking like the picture of contentment as she kicked back on a beach chair and headed down to the surf. Brit's getaway comes at a key time: In the wake of her ex Kevin Federline's claim that her dad Jamie Spears was abusive toward their son, Sean Preston, Jamie was temporarily removed from his daughter's conservatorship. Britney has not yet commented on the change.

The controversial opinion Shay Mitchell's boyfriend shared about her getting an epidural when she gives birth to their child may be bothering her fans more than it's bothering her. She and her sizeable bump checked in with People on Tuesday, Sept, 9, at the 2019 PaleyFest Fall TV Previews for Hulu, where she was promoting her new series, "Dollface." Asked to comment on Matte Babel's statements from their YouTube show "Almost Ready" — Matte sounded adamant that Shay skip the epidural when she goes into labor, in spite of her being petrified about doing so — Shay dismissed the controversy. "Matte would support me no matter what I want to do," she said. "At the end of the day, if he's having fun with it, we're both having fun with it. He's the best partner I could ever ask for." Her due date is in early October.

Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley apologize for 'offensive comments' about transgender models at NYFW show
"Real Housewives of New York City" stars Sonja Morgan and Dorinda Medley were hit with a firestorm of angry comments and calls for their ouster on social media this week. The backlash began after the reality stars were heard laughing and making offensive comments about transgender models as they sat in the front row at the Garo Sparo show at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Sparo, a Season 17 "Project Runway" finalist, made a point of hiring models with an eye to diversity — including a number of queer and transgender models as well as Madeline Stuart, who's often described as the "first supermodel with Down Syndrome," according to People. Videos from the show showed Morgan and Medley saying things like, "With a body like that, it's a guy …," about model Yasmine Petty. A video clip posted on Petty's Instagram Story show the two "talking loudly and laughing" as Petty walks down the runway, according to the Daily Mail. Speaking to Page Six after the show, Petty said she heard them "making these statements" and found their behavior "disheartening and disappointing." Morgan and Medley later gave an apologetic statement to People through their rep in which they said, "We have a history as long-standing supporters of the LGBTQ community in many ways and apologize for our offensive comments at the fashion show."
Is Rihanna mulling a Lizzo / Savage x Fenty line collaboration?
In a press release announcing her new Savage X Fenty F/W 2019 line, Rihanna said her goal is "to make people look good and feel good," and "we want you to feel sexy and have fun doing it." If those sentiments make you think of a certain sexy, body-positive singer who's made feeling "good as hell" an anthem, you're not alone. "Gosh I love Lizzo. She's so badass," Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight (via People) the day of her New York Fashion Week runway show. "I would collaborate with her on the lights for this interview right now, like Lizzo is so badass." She went on to say the ideals Lizzo espouses are "everything" Savage is about: "A confident woman, no matter what size, color, shape. Your attitude is what makes you savage," Rihanna told ET. "It's the confidence that you have in yourself and it's the confidence that you can give off to people who look like you and feel like you and those are the people that identify with the brand." Rih's praise for Lizzo comes a month after Lizzo told ET Rihanna had DM'd her to "to tell me that I performed good," after a recent concert and that she'd love to collaborate with her.
Why Anna Faris was once banned from New Zealand
Apparently, going public with a story about being sexually harassed in New Zealand can get you banned from the whole country. At least, that was Anna Faris' admittedly weird experience. She recounted what happened — and what she did to get welcomed back — on the latest edition of Justin Long's Life is Short Podcast. Explaining that she was in New Zealand to film "Yogi Bear" and that after one of many grueling, less-than-creatively fulfilling days of work, she was invited to a Queens of the Stone Age show. "So, that's not necessarily my jam, but I left early, I had to get to bed," she recalled, according to E! News. "I was walking back and — this should not be an important detail, but I feel like the societal pressure to make this a detail — I was wearing jeans and a T-shirt and a backpack," she continued. "And this car drives by and these dudes yell out like, 'Show us your t—!' But in a New Zealand accent." She kept walking, then another car drove by. The guys in that car yelled "something like, 'we wanna f— your p—-,'" she said. "It felt like, what is up with that? But I could handle it. Anyway, I recounted this story, because it was the only one I had, on 'The George Lopez Show,' this very short-lived George Lopez show. And then I got a letter from the Minister of Tourism of New Zealand that I was no longer welcome in their country." She went on to say that the incident then "became a whole thing," so she got pro-active and wrote a letter of apology to a news outlet based in New Zealand as well as to the country's Minister of Tourism. She's now allowed back into New Zealand. "It was so silly," she said. Long asked if he had the story straight: "They felt like you had slandered the entire country?" She replied, "yeah." Though she didn't share every detail of the letter she sent, she did share that it ended with, "We have a lot of ding dongs here in America as well."
Jennifer Lopez recalls the 'wise' marriage advice RBG once gave her
There's a good chance Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez will forever associate their marriage with Ruth Bader Ginsburg. When J.Lo stopped by "The Tonight Show" this week, she recalled to Jimmy Fallon how she and Alex had watched the recent documentary about the Supreme Court justice's life the same weekend Alex popped the question. The movie, "RBG," so moved Jennifer that she wanted to meet the justice when she stopped in Washington, D.C., on tour. "I invited her to the concert and she was like, 'It's a little bit late for me,'" Jennifer told Jimmy, according to ET. "But she said, 'Come to my chambers, let's have a visit.' We sat there and we talked. [Alex] told her the story of how we got engaged, and that's how we became so interested in her and wanted to meet her." They also wanted to know more about RBG's 50-plus year marriage to Marty Ginsburg, which plays a central role in the film. "We admired her," the singer continued. "And so, I was like, 'Oh yeah! You had the most amazing marriage. What's the marriage advice? Give me the secret, please! I need it.'" So what was RBG's secret? "Sometimes it helps to be just a little bit deaf." J.Lo elaborated a bit more on "Good Morning America," adding that the justice had explained being "a little bit deaf" means, "if you hear an unkind word, let it go." Jennifer's taking it to heart, too. "It was super wise," she said.

Paul Rudd Crush Alert, anyone? Page Six reports the erstwhile Josh of "Clueless" fame lived up to his reputation for being made of pure chivalry during a recent flight from Canada to New York City. According to a spy, Paul, 50, spent time talking with two passengers next to him about the Phillippines, where they were from. After expressing his desire to visit their country, the plane landed and the "Ant-Man" star proceeded to help the women with their luggage. He then took time to pose for seflies with the ladies. It's the little things, y'all!
Jennifer Aniston opens up about how she relates to her 'Morning Show' character
As news anchor Alex Levy on "The Morning Show," a new series from Apple TV, Jennifer Aniston plays a character whose struggles the "Friends" alum knows all too well. As the New York Times puts it in a new profile of the actress, "You could say that the story of Alex Levy is also the story of Jennifer Aniston: one of being underestimated and overexposed …" Describing a key "similarity" she sees between Alex's life and her own, Jen tells the Times: "I relate in ways of feeling like, when you don't want to be seen, and you don't want to go out of the house, and you want to just scream, and you don't want to walk on a red carpet. I don't want to stand behind a podium, I don't want to have my photograph taken, I just want to cry today. You know?" Luckily, she's been able to channel such similarities into the character, who by her own admission is navigating a life and career with more than a passing resemblance to her own. In fact, she says the role has everything: "… children, guilt, power struggle, being a woman in the industry, going through a divorce, publicly going through a divorce, feeling alienated, being just a little bit of a screw-up." The hashtag "#NeverForget" was trending all day on Twitter on Wednesday, Sept. 11, the eighteenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center that killed nearly 3,000 people. And while celebrities from Mark Wahlberg to New York City native Kerry Washington chimed in on the nationwide chorus of remembrances, Maria Shriver offered an important piece of advice on Twitter. "Be mindful today of others' grief. You never know if someone lost a person they loved on September 11," she wrote. "Grief shows back up unannounced and takes over without warning. Tread lightly today. Everyone is fragile." Words of widom, indeed.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt addresses the state of his relationship with his father, Brad Pitt
Maddox Jolie-Pitt's relationship with his father, Brad Pitt, still seems to be strained. The 18-year-old recently gave a video interview that was excerpted by Page Six in which he's asked if his dad plans to visit him in South Korea, where Maddox just started school at Yonsei University. "I don't know about that [or] what's happening," Maddox replies in the clip. Asked if there's a chance he and Brad's relationship is finished, Maddox says only, "Well, whatever happens, happens." The father-son pair reportedly had some kind of fight on a private plane in 2016. Brad has since admitted he screamed at his son. Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad less than a week after the incident.
