The whole "like mother, like daughter" thing is great and all, but it doesn't exactly make models Cindy Crawford and her 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber want to share a runway. "The great thing for my kids is that I know a lot about that world," Cindy recently told the AP of Kaia, who appeared in September's Calvin Klein, Alexander Wang, Fendi and Chanel shows, and Presley Gerber, who also landed some September fashion gigs. "I feel like: Who better to help guide them than me?" Cindy added. As for Kaia, Cindy admitted she wouldn't have minded having her daughter wait "a year or two" before jumping into the fashion world. "But she's 16. That's how old I was when I started, which is young, but in fashion that's kind of the normal age when people start," she said. Asked about the Versace anniversary tribute, in which Cindy joined supermodels including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and others on the runway while Kaia found her own niche for the show, Cindy said she didn't know Kaia would even be there. "The models themselves don't really get booked until the day before or two days before," she explained. "And finally Kaia got booked for it, and I said, 'You know I'm doing that show, right?'" Kaia was not feelin' it. "She's like, 'Wait, do we have to walk down together?'" Cindy recalled. "I said, 'No. I don't even want to walk down with you. I'm going to walk down with the ladies that are my age. You can go with the girls that are your age.'" Fair enough!

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef arrive in Puerto Rico with a new round of aid

Using YouCaring.com, the same crowdsourced fundraising tool JJ Watt to help victims of Harvey in Houston, Ricky Martin has raised $3 million and counting for relief efforts following Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. On Monday, Oct. 9, he returned to the hurricane-ravaged U.S. territory with 120,000 pounds of supplies to distribute, according to JustJared. "We flew this @fedex cargo plane with aid to the western part of Puerto Rico ❤️," Ricky's fiance Jwan Yusef captioned a photo of the two arriving at Borinquen Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. "THANK U @fedex for joining us in this alliance 🙌🏼 #hurricanemaria #puertorico," he added. During Ricky's recent appearance on "Ellen," Ellen DeGeneres handed the singer a check for $100,000 towards aid for Puerto Rico. "Thank you so much for everything you have done," Ricky wrote on Instagram, shouting out the staff of the "Ellen" show. "For puertoricans around the world, you are a true friend. We won't forget." Two weeks after the storm, 85 percent of the island remains without power and nearly half of residents do not have access to clean drinking water, according to CBS News.

Khloe Kardashian shares long-distance relationship advice

For most of their relationship, Khloe Kardashian lived in Los Angeles and NBA star Tristan Thompson lived close to his Cavaliers team in Cleveland. In a blog post apparently inspired by their newly minted, shared domestic bliss, Khloe, who is rumored to be expecting her first child with Tristan, reflected on the ups and downs of a long-distance romance, sharing some tips for getting through it with her fans. "Nobody says dating long distance is easy—I am so happy Tristan and I live together now! The extra miles can sometimes make many aspects frustrating," she writes. "Things can get complicated — you might get sad and lonely at times. (Don't worry, BTW, that's totally normal!). However, being long distance also means you get to appreciate one another on a deeper level without the distractions of physical getting in the way," she continues. "And it makes simplest things— like holding hands, eating at the same table, feeling each other's touch, taking a walk together, smelling their hair—the sweetest when you're in the same city again." Khloe goes on to suggest couples "Drop little hints about something you want to try in the bedroom next time you see them," adding that couples can also share activities like going for a run with the help of Facetime. "At the end of the day, this will be the most important thing to keep in mind as you continue to date and get to know each other. Do you both share the same dreams and ideals? Do you both want the same things out of life—and, more importantly, the relationship?" she asks. "If the answer is yes, then the sacrifices you're making now will pay off big time in the long run."

Jenelle Evans threatens to quit 'Teen Mom 2' over show's portrayal of her marriage

Jenelle Evans has had it with MTV's version of her home life on "Teen Mom 2." According to Instagram posts after the latest episode aired on Monday, Oct. 9, Jenelle has threatened to leave for good. "Yes, me and David have our ups and downs but yesterday's episode was uncalled for," she wrote (via People). "Because David didn't feel like explaining another argument or drama on camera they make it look as if David is hiding some weird a– s— from the public as if he was hurting me in some way?! 🤔 I have decided after this season I'm probably calling it quits for filming this show. I told Morgan it's getting to out of hand and it's not healthy for us anymore, just harming us mentally. They treat all of us as if we are in a freak show and in cages. Reunited and it feels so good! Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp are still going strong, according to the New York Post. On Saturday, Oct. 7, a spy spotted the pair checking out an early preview of Julie Taymor's "M. Butterfly" starring Clive Owen on Broadway. "They waited patiently in the long line with everyone else," said the onlooker. "They were chatting intimately in their seats during intermission." Meg and John split in 2014 after three years of dating, a breakup John later attributed to his self-proclaimed childlike behavior. "I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death," he told Howard Stern. Reports they'd gotten back together surfaced over the summer as the two were spotted together in various cities.

Rose McGowan calls for Weinstein Co. board to resign immediately

In the wake of Harvey Weinstein's ouster from his own company, scores of female celebs have spoken out about the routine sexual harassment that was allegedly part of his working interaction with women. Rose McGowan, who signed an NDA about her own, similar experience with the Weinstein Co. exec, is taking the charge a bit further. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress demanded the rest of the company's board resign, as well, since it has been said Harvey's alleged behavior was a known issue in the company. "Men in Hollywood need to change ASAP," Rose said in the interview. "Hollywood's power is dying because society has changed and grown, and yet Hollywood male behavior has not. It is so not a good look. In the way cooler than Hollywood world I live and work in, I am actually embarrassed to be associated with it." She added, "I'm calling on the board to resign effective immediately." In a tweet, she reiterated her demand, calling out the remaining board members by name. Rose also shared this message: "And for the women in Hollywood, free your minds," she said. "There are no 'rules' you have to play by. We affect the world's mind because we are creating and disseminating thought propaganda. There is a great responsibility to be better than you have to be. Stand for women. Stand for truth. Stop hurting us. Rise."

An Amy Winehouse musical is reportedly in the works

Amy Winehouse's father wants to stage another performance about her life. The Sun reports Mitch Winehouse told reporters at last week's Amy Winehouse Foundation Gala that "a musical celebrating her life and music is being talked about for the near future." He added, "It is something I'd really like to happen and I've said I'm happy for it to go ahead. It would be for the West End. We want to do something that remembers Amy for what she was, there's so much more to her than just the drugs and the alcohol." As Jezebel points out, the documentary "Amy" focused heavily on the young singer's issues with drugs, alcohol and body image. It also cast Amy's parents in a negative light, showing their seeming resistance to understanding the nature of her struggles, not to mention her father's decision to take a reality show camera crew to St. Lucia at a time when Amy was vulnerable and still in the middle of her recovery. Amy died of alcohol poisoning in July 2011 at the age of 27.
