Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas met in 2016 when the Jonas Brothers were touring in her native Britain. They agreed to meet at a bar in London's Camden area that the "Game of Thrones" star described as "dirty with great music and people throwing up everywhere" in an interview with ELLE. "I expected him to show up with security and everything. I thought he would be such a d***," she admitted. "He brought a friend and they drank just as hard as the rest of us. I remember us two spending only a couple of minutes on the dance floor, and then we found a space in the far corner and we just talked. We talked for hours, and hours and hours. And I wasn't bored. It wasn't contrived, it wasn't small talk — it was just so easy." Later, they were spotted by fans kissing at a Kings of Leon concert in the Netherlands in November 2016. They're seen here in Paris in March 2017.

Sophie wore her engagement ring when she stepped out in Paris with Joe a few months later in March 2018.

We're all one big family because the boys are best friends."
Before Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot, they briefly questioned their relationship. "It was the worst day of our lives," Sophie (seen here with Joe at a pre-Grammys party in February 2019) told The Sunday Times. "For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later, we were both, like, 'Never mind.'" The two also struggled with Sophie's mental health issues stemming from being the spotlight since she was a young teen. "He was, like, 'I can't be with you until you love yourself, I can't see you love me more than you love yourself.' That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way."
Six years after the Jonas Brothers parted ways as a band, its members confirmed they were back together in February 2019. Joe Jonas has admitted he struggled with his relationship with siblings Kevin and Nick following the split, but Sophie Turner (seen here with Joe at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party a few weeks before the big reunion was announced) provided necessary guidance. "It encouraged me to see she had such a great relationship with her brothers," Joe told Harper's Bazaar. "That was really a big thing for me to be able to look at and say, 'I gotta get my s*** together.'"
While Sophie Turner has been supportive of Joe Jonas's music with his bands DNCE and the Jonas Brothers, she's admitted she wasn't always a fan. "My friends and I were not Jonas Brothers fans," she told ELLE. "There was this band in the U.K. called Busted. They had a hit called 'Year 3000.' It was amazing, and we were huge Busted fans. Then the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it massive. And Busted broke up. We thought it was all the Jonas Brothers' fault. So we hated them." However, today her tune has changed, and she names "Fly With Me" and "Hesitate" as her favorite songs by her husband and brothers-in-law. Sophie Turner enjoyed quarantining with her new husband during the spring and summer of 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. "I'm an introvert; I'm a homebody," the then-pregnant 24-year-old actress told late-night Conan O'Brien in an interview. "If I could stay at home all day, I would so this is great for me. I leave the house once a day anyway to walk my dogs and then that's it so. I see how people are finding it difficult, but I don't understand how people are really struggling to practice social distancing. I'm like, all you have to do is stay at home and like, get drunk at home, right?" Of Joe Jonas, she said, "Everything seems to be working in my favor here because Joe's a real social butterfly so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me so it's like prison for him [being in quarantine], but it's great for me."
