Shakira and Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique got together in 2011 not long after meeting on the set of her music video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)". They welcomed their first child, son Milan, three years later and son Sasha followed in 2015. Through it all, Shakira has been vocal about there being no need for marriage. "We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other and a baby. I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them," Shakira told Glamour magazine in 2014.

The content couple were once engaged back in 1992 but opted to keep things the way they were — they never actually headed down the aisle.
