Love at first sight?
Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande's romance may have taken off even faster than we realized. In a new feature for GQ's September edition, the "Saturday Night Live" star admits that as soon as he and Ariana met, he was ready to pop the question. "The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" the 24-year-old tells the mag. "She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, 'Do you like any of these?' She was like, 'Those are my favorite ones,' and I was like, 'Sick.'" He didn't disappoint. Within a few weeks of dating Ariana, Pete proposed — and slipped $93,000 diamond ring on the singer's finger. As for when the two will tie the knot, Pete said they hadn't planned much in the way of dates yet. "The universe works in weird ways," he mused. "All I know is that I'm the luckiest guy in the world."

Alyssa Milano defends controversial Netflix show, 'Insatiable'
On "Insatiable," a new and controversial dark comedy from Netflix, Alyssa Milano costars alongside the main character — an overweight, anxious and frequently bullied high school girl who ends up losing lots of weight. Much of the show's criticism has revolved around the seemingly mixed messages the script delivers about body image, weight and food, but to Alyssa, there's something to be said for talking about what those issues feel like and how they play out. Alyssa herself is no stranger to struggling with her internal thoughts and feelings, either. In a new interview with Us Weekly, the star admits she battles serious anxiety. "There was always the threat of someone finding out and being exposed. Because there's a stigma attached to mental illness and there's shame sometimes associated with anything that's perceived as different," she says. "Coming out, I felt such a sense of relief. A lot of [my character] Coralee's growth comes from acceptance of her past. She doesn't have to hide to show she's fabulous." She continues: "The show is really about the damage that happens from fat-shaming. It touches on how we have all felt that we are not enough. How do we fill that void? Some people get anxiety attacks, some eat. I'm a firm believer that these issues are better in the open." As for the online bullying Alyssa faces, she says she reacts by considering her critics' points of view. "I get a lot of trolls because I'm outspoken. It's hurtful — I'm not going to say it isn't. But I try to be empathetic and put myself in someone else's shoes," she says. "I was raised to not retaliate. It's probably why I have anxiety. I store so much. But I'm not causing anyone else pain and I feel good about that."

On Tuesday, Aug. 14, the birthday boy and his fiancee caught up with Joe's parents and some pals at the old-school Italian spot, Emilio's Ballato, according to Page Six. During their meal, Josh Beckerman, the self-described "foodie magician," gave the group a 30-minute "magic mentalism comedy show." Said one onlooker: "They were mind-blown. Sophie screamed at times. How Selena Gomez's fans went overboard in defending her amid copycat controversy
Selena Gomez has said she frequently deletes Instagram from her phone because the negative comments get to her. Sometimes negativity plays out in less straightforward ways, though. When Selena released the video for "Back To You," critics accused her of copying the well-known work of Palestinian-Australian photographer Sarah Bahbah. Sarah mentioned the controversy on social media at one point. And as she recently recalled to Page Six, the reaction from Selena's fans was swift and nasty. "Her fans wrote damaging messages on my works, [which are] about the taboos around child sexual abuse," said Sarah, who is a survivor of such abuse herself. "I'm flattered if I was a source of inspiration. I just take it as a compliment," she added. Asked if she considered suing Selena, Sarah explained that legal action was "not a worthwhile investment for my mental health." In fact, she said she would "love to collaborate" with Selena directly sometime.
