Jennifer Aniston leaves dinner in L.A. 'just moments after' ex, John Mayer
It's been more than a decade since Jennifer Aniston took her then-boyfriend John Mayer to the Oscars, where she was a presenter and he was admittedly nervous. After the show, the couple headed to the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles for the Vanity Fair afterparty. Ahead of the 2020 Academy Awards this week, the former flames were spotted at the Sunset Tower hotel again. According to the Daily Mail, the two left the hotspot after dinner on Thursday, Feb. 6, "just moments apart," having lingered a bit to chat with friends. Jen, whose reunion with ex-husband Brad Pitt made headlines after the 2020 SAG Awards, dated the singer from about 2008 until 2009. Following their split, John made (more than) a few sketchy comments about the "Friends" alum, implying their age difference was an issue by way of dissing her tech-savviness or lack thereof, and telling Playboy they split in part because he "[needed] to be 32" and didn't want to stay home and "pet dogs in the kitchen." To be fair, he also asked the interviewer, "Have you ever loved somebody, loved her completely, but had to end the relationship for life reasons?" Speaking to Vogue after they called it quits, Jen noted that her ex "had to put that out there that he broke up with me — and especially because it's me. It's not just some girl he's dating." She went on to say, "I get it. We're human," and called him "a wonderful guy," telling the reporter: "We care about each other. It's funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, 'We maybe need to do something else,' but you still really, really love each other. It's painful." Whatever their get-together this week may have been about, Jen and John do seem to have stayed friends. According to Marie Claire, he even attended her 50th birthday party last year — as did Brad Pitt.

What's inside the Oscar nominees' $215k gift bag?
For the 18th year in a row, Oscar nominees will be treated to an "Everybody Wins" gift bag filled with all kinds of mind-bogglingly pricey ridiculousness. So what will Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Renee Zellweger, Laura Dern and the rest of this year's nominees head home with this weekend? Let's just say the swag resembles a GOOP.com Christmas wish list on very expensive steroids. According to USA Today, the bag, valued at $215,000, features trips to Cabo, Waikiki and a 12-day yacht cruise for two … a 24-carat gold bath bomb that should pair nicely with the bag's 24-carat gold-finished vape pen … there's also a "brain-sensing headband that translates mental activity into the sounds of weather" and a projector that shoots stars on your ceiling, perfect compliments to the bag's CBD simple syrup, CBD balm and cannabis-infused chocolates … there's a urine collection and analysis system and all kinds of dermatological treatments … a stay inside a Spanish lighthouse … boob support tape and "handmade luxury eyelashes" … a one-year membership at a matchmaking agency … and "a private phone consultation with a British life coach," and many, many other items. Not-so-fun fact? The whole thing is taxable. Happy Oscar-ing, kids!

Why Pamela Anderson ended her 12-day marriage to Jon Peters: Report
Friends of Pamela Anderson believe her 12-day marriage to Jon Peters ended because she was extra vulnerable when they got together, having recently returned from India, where she'd embarked on a month-long "spiritual cleanse." Pamela, 52, and Jon, 74 , dated decades ago. They reunited recently but had only spent three days together before tying the knot in late January, according to Page Six. "Pamela does not operate on the same wavelength as other people. She has a huge heart and she loves big, fast and hard," a source told the tabloid. "She came back from her trip and Jon said to her, 'I love you, let's get married.' So she said, 'OK.'" The insider also claimed Pamela knew within two days that the marriage was "a terrible mistake," as she reportedly feels Jon was "trying to be too controlling over her" and was too interested in maintaining his celebrity status for her taste. "Pamela felt that he was frustrated over how she wanted to maintain her financial independence … He started to make calls about her career and cast her in a movie he was working on, things she didn't want," the source said. On the plus side, the marriage was apparently easy to end, as the couple never formally dealt with the necessary paperwork.

Kim Kardashian West reveals she used a 'surrogate therapist' before welcoming Chicago
After Kim Kardashian West's first two pregnancies became complicated and dangerous, she and Kanye West turned to gestational carriers to help out with their second two kids. As Kim recently told attorney Laura Wasser on her new iHeart Radio podcast, "All's Fair," she also enlisted the help of a "surrogate therapist." She explained it this way, according to E! News: "You get your surrogate attorney, you get your surrogate broker and then the broker recommended that we use a therapist that would communicate with me first and then communicate with her and kind of be our liaison." She said that before her daughter Chicago was born, the therapist helped ensure she and her surrogate had a strong bond. "Towards the end we got close enough where we could communicate really without that," Kim said. "[The therapist] would suggest, 'Hey, I think you guys should communicate once a week through text, maybe on Mother's Day. She's a mother as well. Maybe get her a massage or something that's appropriate for her to pamper.'" Closer to the due date, she added, "if anything was uncomfortable [the therapist] would be that buffer to say, 'This is who I want in the room. What are you comfortable with? How does this work?" Kim and Kanye also used a gestational carrier for their youngest child, Psalm.

Heidi Klum says she was widely criticized for comments about Gabrielle Union and 'AGT'
Heidi Klum says she faced a wave of criticism after addressing Gabrielle Union's allegations of racism and inappropriate behavior on the set of "America's Got Talent," where Heidi served as a judge for six seasons. Speaking at a Television Critics Association event in January, Heidi said: "I've only had an amazing experience [on the show]. I can't speak for Gabrielle. I didn't experience the same thing. To me, everyone treats you with the utmost respect." When Page Six checked in with her this week, Heidi said those comments were taken as overly dismissive. "A lot of people got mad at me," she told the outlet. "I was called, for example, 'a white woman.' I think it is important for everyone to speak their truth. I think that when there is a story, it should be told. I had a different story." She added: "I can only speak to what I saw — it has nothing to do with what color I am. I am a human so I just looked at what I saw." Gabrielle lost her job at the show after telling higher-ups what she was experiencing. The fiasco led to investigations by the actors' union as well as NBC.
kesha
Dr. Luke just scored a win in his $50 million defamation case against Kesha. Billboard reports the judge handling the case ruled the singer defamed her former producer by telling Lady Gaga he had raped Katy Perry. In the ruling, the judge also ordered Kesha to pay Dr. Luke more than $373,000 in interest "for breaching her agreement and failing to pay him $1.3 million royalties due in a timely manner." Finally, the judge ruled Dr. Luke is not a public figure, as he's not "a household name." That aspect of the decision is likely to make things easier for Dr. Luke's legal team when the case heads to trial, given what legally constitutes defamation with regard to public versus private people. Kesha, who claims Dr. Luke drugged and raped her while they were working together, has hired a new legal team; according to Billboard, they have said they will "immediately appeal" the decision. Dr. Luke's lawyers maintain Kesha's claims about Dr. Luke are "false and defamatory."

Hoda Kotb finally brought her main squeeze to work! "Joel had a really, really, really super busy day at work and I didn't even ask him to come," Hoda marveled when she saw her man in the front row, according to Page Six. "I said, 'You know what? I'm not going to bring it up because I don't want him to feel bad and say he can't come," she shared. "And then I actually sent him a text because he was at work and I said, 'Hey, if you want to come any Thursday …' And he said, 'How about this Thursday? I'm so glad you asked.' Anyway, it's super sweet." We couldn't agree more. On social media after the hour was done, Hoda praised Jenna and everyone else involved with the show for "a perfect day." She and Joel announced their engagement in November.

Marking his birthday, Bethenny shared a long and heartfelt Instagram post catching him up on her life and expressing her deep love for him. "Happy Birthday Dennis," she wrote, sharing a handful of photos. "Thinking of you today and every day. It's been tough recently because the world lost another legend and so many innocent lives.
