George Clooney poured shots at the royal wedding reception
You can take the tequila company away from George Clooney but good luck keeping George away from the tequila. It seems the evening reception after the royal wedding involved a Casamigos tequila bar, and although George and Rande Gerber sold their tequila brand for a rumored $700 million to $1 billion last year, George proved he's as committed as ever to the power of fermented agave. Speaking to ET, a source said that during the bash, "George hopped behind the bar and was actually bartending for a bit. He poured Casamigos drinks and shots and got everyone dancing." Among those he summoned to the floor, ET reports, were the bride, Meghan Markle, and her new sister-in-law, Duchess Kate. George wasn't the only one who recognized the ice breaking power of booze that night, either. When ET checked in with Katie Nicholl, the self-described "royal expert" reported Meghan and Harry organized a few drinking games for the reception, including good, old-fashioned American beer pong. "Apparently this was the source of much hilarity," Katie said, "and it probably comes as no surprise that the best person at that game was Serena Williams."

Ariana Grande marks the first anniversary of the Manchester terrorist attack
Tuesday, May 22, marks one year since dozens of concert-goers were killed and scores more injured when a bomb exploded at Manchester Arena near the end of Ariana Grande's performance there. On what would have been Tuesday morning in England, the singer marked the anniversary by tweeting warm thoughts to the other survivors. "Thinking of you all today and every day I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day," she wrote in the post. Ariana also touched on the attack in a recent interview with Time for the magazine's mental health awareness issue, telling the magazine she continues to struggle with what happened and has sought therapy for it. "You think with time it'll become easier to talk about. Or you'll make peace with it," she said. "But every day I wait for that peace to come and it's still very painful."
Scarlett Johansson dines with Woody Allen again
As a growing contingent of actors distance themselves from Woody Allen following Dylan Farrow's 2014 allegation he molested her when she was a child, one actress seems determined to stand by him. Scarlett Johansson, who worked with Woody on "Scoop," "Match Point" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," dined with her three-time director last week. Page Six reports Scarlett and Woody were spotted chatting over dinner on Friday, May 18, at Come Prima, an Italian restaurant on New York City's Upper East Side. "The Sopranos" creator David Chase was also at the eatery that evening, though it's unclear if the group dined together. Asked in 2014 if she would work with Woody again in light of "recent events," presumably Dylan's open letter, Scarlett told the New Yorker, "I don't see why anyone wouldn't." Earlier this year, she was criticized for slamming James Franco regarding his sexual misconduct allegations when she's long supported her "Match Point" director.
Jason Bateman and Will Arnett involved in NYC fender bender
Close call! "Arrested Development" stars and longtime offscreen pals Jason Bateman and Will Arnett were in New York City this week for press around their upcoming fifth season when they had a scare on the road, courtesy of a taxi driver. According to TMZ, Jason, Will and two other people were catching a lift in a van cab near Madison Square Park when the driver of their car hit a sedan in front of them. The driver of the other car reportedly said he was experiencing back pain but neither he nor anyone else involved was taken to the hospital after police arrived on the scene. Both Will and Jason were reportedly fine after the crash, which Jason stayed to discuss with police.
James Corden's allergies almost interrupted the royal wedding
By the end of the royal wedding festivities over the weekend, James Corden was quite the star guest, handling emcee duties at the reception at Frogmore House and helming "a dance-off" between Prince Harry, Prince William and Prince Charles, according to The Sun. Things could have gone south for James during the actual wedding, though. As he recalled on the Monday, May 21, edition of "The Late Late Show," he spent a good portion of the ceremony worrying if he was going to interrupt the whole thing and ruin it. "The worst part of the ceremony for me was there were flowers everywhere, the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen. And I get quite bad allergies if I'm in such close proximity to flowers. So, for a lot of the ceremony, I just needed to sneeze," he explained (via Page Six). "Right at the point when the archbishop was saying, 'If anyone knows of any reason …' and I was like, 'Please don't sneeze. Please don't sneeze.'" His body complied, he said, and James ended up managing to keep quiet with "one of those internal sneezes." Ultimately, James, who said he's "known Prince Harry about seven years" said the wedding was "gorgeous … happy … joyous" and "uplifting." Luckily, it was also sneeze-free.
Katy Perry confirms she's 'not single' as Orlando Bloom romance rumors intensify
It's probably safe to say these two are definitely on again. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split in March 2017 after about a year of dating, but the two have reconnected since, spending time together at various locales around the world, from the Maldives to Rome. Despite increasingly clear signals they're back together, Katy hadn't confirmed the romance — until now. During the "American Idol" finale on Monday, May 21, the singer saw newly engaged "Bachelorette" alum Becca Kufrin in the crowd and gave her a shout-out. "Yes, I'll give you all my roses," Katy told Becca, according to Us Weekly. "I'm not single but I still like you." Orlando's been less coy about his feelings for Katy. In an interview published in The Times last month, he called her "a remarkable human being" and basically said he'd been "hit sideways" by their relationship. "Completely surprising, because I am not her demographic. I am a little older than her, so I wasn't someone overly familiar with her artistic endeavors when we met. I wouldn't have imagined anything happening," he said at the time. "And, you know, when you get hit sideways you get hit sideways. You don't pick who you fall in love with. And then you come around and there's all sorts of things that happen in between, right?" He added: "I have a lot of respect for her and a lot of deep feeling. She's on tour, I'm doing a play, everything evolves. So we will see."
Sonja Morgan responds to 'wasted' club account: 'I was having fun'
What's a little late-night grinding between friends? That's what "Real Housewives of New York City" star Sonja Morgan was left wondering after a snitch recounted to Page Six Sonja's alleged behavior at the Tribeca club Paul's Baby Grand last week. According to the onlooker: "She rolled in straight from the 'Watch What Happens Live' studio, wasted and humping people. She was making out with blondes [of both genders] and then left with one." Sonja didn't exactly deny the account, but she did take issue with the description of what she believed was simply a good time. "This always happens to me!" she protested to the tab. "I was dancing with a bunch of girlfriends and my friends. Humping? What does that mean? Dancing? Grinding? Humping? That's all in the eye of the beholder. I was drinking, yes. It's all so exaggerated. I was having fun." Sonja. who's admitted she sought therapy in the past after being "confronted … about my drinking binges" (she says she was told she did not "have a problem," booze-wise), suggested that next time she'll skip c;ubs like Paul's, which is coincidentally run by Chloe Sevigny's brother. "That's why I like to have my parties on Wednesdays at home because everything gets exaggerated," Sonja said. "You can't even go out anymore." On the other hand, sometimes you can't even stay in unless you want 600 extra people to show up at your house …
T.I. shares video, photos of alleged assault on diner at Houston's restaurant
Seven months after he organized a boycott of a Houston's restaurant outside Atlanta over their management's decision to give a group of African-American women diners the boot, T.I. is on a new anti-Houston's campaign. On Monday, May 21, the rapper shared videos and photos on Instagram that seem to show an altercation between a woman and a security guard at another Atlanta-area outpost of the chain. According to T.I., the guard entered the women's bathroom and dragged the female diner out, holding her arm behind her back. In the video, the women's two friends can be heard yelling warnings at the guard, who claimed he was "detaining" the woman who had been in the bathroom. "I need to see you! Come do me like that!" T.I. yells at the guard at one point. T.I. also shared images of the woman's clearly bruised face and thighs as well as cuts on her leg. "Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!!!! ACCOUNTABILITY IS MANDATORY!!!! U WILL PAY FOR THIS!!! COWARD!!!!" he captioned photos of the injuries. The woman and her friends were reportedly charged with criminal trespassing and, in one woman's case, felony obstruction. T.I. later told TMZ he wants the entire restaurant chain closed.
Camila Cabello cancels Reputation tour appearance
Between her performance and win at the Billboard Music Awards and gearing up to open for Taylor Swift on her Reputation tour, it's been a busy few days for Camila Cabello. She's about to get some doctor-ordered rest, though. The former Fifth Harmony singer announced on Twitter this week she would not be performing as scheduled in Seattle. "So yesterday after my performance at the billboards, I was feeling really sick and ended up in the hospital to get checked out," she tweeted. "They ran a lot of tests and everything is fine, but the diagnosis was basically dehydration and I also have a low grade fever — the doctors have told me I really have to get rest otherwise I won't get better — so unfortunately I won't be able to perform my set during the Reputation tour in Seattle tomorrow." She added: "I'm so sorry to let you guys down and I promise I will make it up as soon as I can! I guess sometimes I just push myself too hard and I promise I'm gonna take better care of myself." She also thanked fans for "caring about" and "sticking by" her in her solo career "journey," which she noted began just one year ago. "Here's to more memories, more joy, more love, more music, more health and more life," she wrote. "I love youuuuuu." Page Six points out that Camila has also struggled with anxiety in the past, an issue that forced her offstage with Fifth Harmony in 2016.
