On Dec. 14, Joe Biden officially became the president-elect after the Electoral College met and certified his win. Although the certification was merely a formality, it became somewhat intriguing due to the whispers of "faithless electors" and President Donald Trump's hope that electors would spurn the will of a pro-Biden state and cast a vote for him (none did). Much of Hollywood, which, by and large, overwhelmingly supported the Biden-Harris ticket, reacted with glee — and a few jokes — despite the fact that the result of the Electoral College's meeting was already known. Late night host Jimmy Kimmel, for instance, tweeted, "congratulations to @realDonaldTrump on his well deserved silver medal!" See who else sounded off on social media after Biden's win was certified…

Alyssa Milano took to Twitter to quote President-elect Joe Biden, writing, "JOE BIDEN: 'In this battle for the soul of America, democracy prevailed. We the people voted. Faith in our institutions held. The integrity of our elections remains intact. And so, now it is time to turn the page. To unite. To heal.'"
