Rumor Fix
It might be the noteworthy wedding in Bronx history if Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were to take a trip down the aisle together, but it seems the giant rock Jen's been flashing on her ring finger lately is just a ring. The singer posted a steamy bikini promo JLO X Bad Bunny on Friday, Oct. 26, amid reports she and Alex Rodriguez were engaged. Not so much. "They are not engaged and are not there yet because they are just enjoying dating for now," a source tells the Daily Mail. "Neither has any interest in rushing things as they have both been married before. But with that said they are having a wonderful time together and are already planning a ton of fun holiday trips with the kids. Everyone is getting along great. The rumors began in earnest after J.Lo wore the ring — on her right hand, not her left — when she and A-Rod went to Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday. At one point this week, Alex shared a clip that showed his girlfriend doing her best impression of a baseball coach sending signals to his players , with the caption, "Jennifer, what's the sign?!" When someone who's reportedly friends with Alex replied, "the sign I see is engagement" after noticing the ring, the internet apparently decided the two were engaged. The ring, "They were ready to get married early on and talked about it," a source previously told Us Weekly. "But Jennifer decided she wants to do it differently this time. She's been down the marriage road and doesn't know if she wants to do it again. … Everything is working out so well, she doesn't want to jinx it or change anything."

Kim Kardashian wants KKW Beauty lawsuit dismissed
Kim Kardashian West is asking a judge to toss a lawsuit brought against her by Danish makeup artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis on grounds her celebrity status proves Kirsten's claims make no sense. According to The Blast, Kim filed a response to the suit last week in which she details how she would never have marketed her KKW beauty products in such a way that would make consumers confuse the line with Kirsten's KW Cosmetics because Kim is "a world-famous television celebrity" whose reputation is just fine without Kirsten's help. Kim also says the products don't look alike and points to KW Cosmetics' "modest sales" as another reason why she'd never want consumers to think KW and KKW are one and the same. "The absence of a shred of evidence showing real consumers suffering actual confusion is enormously telling and weighs heavily in favor of a finding that there exists no likelihood of confusion as a matter of law," Kim's legal team says in the filing. "Considering Kardashian's fame and access to over 100 million social media followers, no rational inference can be drawn that she would need or want to trick the public into associating her products with Kjaer Weis in order to gain exposure or traction." Kim denies the allegations made against her and wants the lawsuit dismissed. KKW Beauty was sued for another trademark issue over the summer by a Chicago marketing company.

Busy Philipps is frustrated James Franco assault story became 'celebrity click-bait'
When Busy Philipps wrote about the altercation she had with James Franco on the set of "Freaks and Geeks," she did so as part of the larger story she was trying to tell about herself with her book, "This Will Only Hurt a Little." Now, she worries some may have missed the higher level meaning because of the way the anecdote was rehashed by certain news outlets. "I feel like this kind of celebrity click-bait takes away from how good my book is, how hard I worked on it and what I'm actually trying to say," she told the New York Times in a profile published this week. The story in question involved the director telling Busy to hit James, who played her boyfriend, during a scene. Per her memoir, the then-teenage actors didn't get along to begin with but when she did as she was told on the set, he grabbed her by her arms, screamed "Don't ever touched me!" and knocked her to the ground. She noted that afterwards, producers made James apologize but he was never punished for what happened. Given James' recent allegations of sexual misconduct, which he's denied, and the #MeToo-spawned questions around accountability for men in Hollywood, the anecdote quickly took flight, popping up all over the web. Busy, however, started writing her book before #MeToo, according to the Times. "James and I are fine. I'm fine about that situation. … I saw Judd [Apatow, the show's creator] the other night, and he did not care that I wrote about it, because we've talked about it over the years. And I said, 'Guess what? That situation would be for sure handled differently today on a set like that, and maybe that would've been beneficial to everyone involved, not just me.'" Asked about the allegations of her former costar's sexual impropriety, Busy said only, "In the last year, I have not been surprised by anything." James' reps did not respond to the Times' request for comment. Judd declined to address the subject.
Sofia Vergara is the highest paid actress on TV for the seventh year running
Oops, Sofia Vergara did it again! Forbes just named the "Modern Family" star TV's highest paid actress courtesy of her $42.5 million income for the season running from 2017 – 2018. It's the seventh time in a row Sofia's snagged that title and she's pretty far ahead, cash-wise, of the second and third-placed actresses. While Kaley Cuoco grossed $24.5 million for "The Big Bang Theory" (73 percent less than Sofia's earnings) landing her at No. 2, Ellen Pompeo earned $23.5 million for her work on Grey's Anatomy."
Amber Heard: 'I am very happy that I have moved on with my life'
As Amber Heard returns to the big screen this weekend in "London Fields," she's focused on the future — even though the film speaks to her recent past. Featuring Amber as a clairvoyant who gets involved with three men, one of whom she knows will eventually try to kill her, the movie was shot five years ago but lawsuits between the producers and director, among other problems, kept it from being released until now. At one point, the producers sued Amber — a move she responded to by filing a countersuit over the fact that their decision to use a body double violated the terms of her initial deal with regard to onscreen nudity. Speaking to the Associated Press this week, the actress said, "it's very important for a female actress or any woman to be able to exercise her own control over her own body and her image," adding, "I'm glad that the version of the movie being released is supposedly respectful … with regards specifically to nudity and my nudity agreement." She then assured the reporter that "those issues are in the past." When Amber first began shooting "London Fields," she and Johnny Depp were newlyweds. The two ultimately divorced amid claims he abused her emotionally and physically. Asked to reflect on her own experiences over the past few years with regard to the #MeToo movement, Amber, who visited Switzerland earlier this week to speak at the U.N. about gender equality and equal rights for the LGBQT community said: "I am very happy that I have moved on with my life and keep moving on with my life. I just keep wanting to do with my life that which makes it better for other people and myself. And doing the right thing and moving forward and dedicating yourself to justice, truth, to doing what's right and helping others when you can — that's everything to me. That's all I'm interested in."
Chris Rock supports Louis C.K. at his latest stand-up gig
Louis C.K. and French comic and actress Blanche Gardin sparked romance rumors earlier this week when they were spotted holding hands in New York City. Though neither star has commented on reports they might be dating, Louis apparently followed up his stroll with Blanche with a visit to the Comedy Center in the Big Apple's West Village, where he had at least one supportive audience member in Chris Rock. "Louis came on last during the 9:30 p.m. show," a source told Page Six. "Like 10 people walked out. One yelled a slur, something like 'F - - k you' or something. He just ignored it. A few more people walked out midway through, [but] they may have been waiting for their check. … Chris walked in when Louis was on and left right after. He was laughing at all of his jokes." The comics have worked and hung out together on and off for many years; Louis has admitted one of the women who accused him of sexual misconduct was someone he worked on "The Chris Rock Show" with. At his Comedy Cellar set on Wednesday, Oct. 24, however, he kept the mood understandably light, even while acknowledging the scandal. "He joked about his mom, saying he was in the New York Times, and he had to be like, 'Mom, that's not a good article.' But that moms don't understand," said an audience member. Page Six's insider also recounted the set included "a lot of sexual jokes, but just in general, not about what happened." Said one club manager: "We did have one large party walk out…We didn't charge them… The set was absolutely not all sexual and he was not uncomfortable. Also a party of women came up to him after the set, hugged him and told him how much they supported him."
Have Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor rekindled their romance?
If Ben Stiller and his estranged wife, Christine Taylor, are trying to work things out, Christine is keeping the news to herself. That's the gist of a new report from Us Weekly after a reporter for the magazine noticed the pair attended a Project ALS benefit in New York City together on Thursday, Oct. 25. "We're a big family," Christine said after being asked if she and Ben had gotten back together. "We're together all the time," she added. Asked about how amicable things seem to be since she and Ben announced their separation in May 2017, Christine said simply, "it's wonderful." After 17 years of marriage, the couple released a joint statement saying they were separating "with tremendous love and respect for each other" and were committed to "raising our children as the closest of friends."
Ben Affleck returns to the set of 'Torrance' as an alcoholic high school basketball coach
Having completed his recent 40-day stint in rehab for alcohol addiction, Ben Affleck is now preparing to get inside the mind of another man who struggles with addiction in his new film, "Torrance." On Thursday, Oct. 25, the recently divorced star was photographed in San Pedro, Calif., carrying a 12-pack of beer for his role — probably not the most appealing prop for a guy who's now clean. According to ET, Ben is producing as well as starring in the film, which centers around a former basketball player battling alcoholism as he returns to his old high school to be their coach. "Torrance" has yet to be given a formal release date.
Tamron Hall reunites with Al Roker amid Megyn Kelly 'Today' drama
The "Today" show family's news hasn't been all bad this week … As "Megyn Kelly Today" was canceled after Megyn's comments about the use of blackface, Tamron Hall, whose departure from "Today" was reportedly linked to Megyn's hiring, went to see her former cohost, Al Roker, in his new role on Broadway. "Smiling ear to ear tonight after seeing @AlRoker light up the stage in @WaitressMusical!!" she wrote on Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 25, sharing a photo of the two. "Bravo to the entire cast. What a show and yes Mr. Roker sings!!!! True #icon. Blessed to know you sir." In the wake of Megyn's initial comments, she apologized on the air. Al later said the Fox alum "owes a bigger apology to folks of color."
