Nikki Bella says she's happy but 'protective' now that John Cena has moved on
For two people who were once in love, some feelings never die — even after each person has moved on with someone new. In Nikki Bella's case, for example, her love for ex-fiance, John Cena continues (as does her urge to do bodily harm to anyone who messes with his emotions, apparently). John, however, seems to have a different take. Speaking to Brie Bella on her podcast this week (via Us Weekly), Nikki, who's dating Artem Chigvintsev, explained how she felt when she learned John's seeing Shay Shariatzadeh. "He's one of the people, besides you, Brie, who's made me an amazing person. But because of how sad and how much I hurt him, when I saw the big smile on his face, I felt happy for him. I am very happy for him. As long as John is happy, I'm happy," she mused. If Shay "breaks his heart," she added, "Wow. I will rack attack her in a heartbeat." (Aw. WWE love is real y'all.) "He and I had talked about it. That's the other thing. It's like, maybe that's why it didn't hurt me," Nikki continued, reflecting on her previous fear that seeing him with someone else would break her. "John is an amazing man and our timing wasn't right. Who knows, can timing be right for us in the future? Maybe, maybe not. Are we meant for other people? Maybe," she said. "That's the thing about love. I think when you're on a reality show and you put your love out there, we get judged on it so hard and people only see us together. … I have to see why I wasn't happy and him, the same. Sometimes you learn that way and that's how people get back together but you grow that way." John, meanwhile, seemed to have noticed what she said on the podcast and soon posted this cryptic tweet: "Instead of trying to find the right person, try to be the right person. Get to a point where you love yourself, and you might be surprised at the company you choose to keep."

Pete Davidson returns to Instagram to announce a comedy tour
For the first time in months, Pete Davidson is back on Instagram, or at least his name is. He's being cautious about his return, though. Late on Tuesday, April 9, the "SNL" star shared a blank white box, followed by a shaky video of him as a kid goofing around with a fake eyeball. The kid post came with a caption about his upcoming tour with John Mulaney and a quick, "See ya there." Another empty white box followed. Both boxes earned hundreds of thousands of likes within the first few hours they were posted. According to Page Six, however, Pete's account is now being managed by filmmaker and photographer Marcus Russell Price, keeping him safely away from the negative comments and hate that seemed to contribute to his dark post in December about not wanting to "be on this earth anymore." He erased everything from the account shortly thereafter, telling fans in January he'd needed some space to take care of his mental health after splitting from Ariana Grande. He has since started Kate Beckinsale, whose usual sarcasm and wit was briefly replaced by silence when she, too, wiped her account after being trolled on Instagram about her relationship with Pete and the couple's 20-year age difference. She later returned to the platform. "Never be ashamed of a scar," she posted earlier this week as an "unknown" quote. "It simply means you were strong than whatever tried to hurt you."

Nipsey Hussle's memorial to be 'heavily guarded' by Nation of Islam, police and others
The security setup at Nipsey Hussle's Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 11, at the Staples Center is expected to be intense. TMZ reports the Los Angeles Police Department, Nation of Islam and Staples Center officials will all join forces to keep the peace, particularly in light of new information suggesting two people were shot during a vigil for the slain rapper outside his store on the corner of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard, where Nipsey was murdered one night prior. According to TMZ, Nispey's family is intent on preventing any more violence as they say "goodbye" to a man known by the end of his life for fighting to protect his South Los Angeles neighborhood from harm. They're not the only ones advocating for an end to the violence. In an Instagram message this week, Diddy wrote: "It has to STOP now. NO MORE hurting and bringing down your fellow brothers and sisters. Tap into LOVE. Remind yourself we are KINGS and QUEENS and reprogram your mind everyday. WE'VE BEEN AT WAR WITH OURSELVES. It stops now. I'll do my best to uplift, love and heal my people. But the responsibility lies with YOU! What are you going to do!?!?!? You must be responsible for yourself!!!!!" Since his death, members of the hip-hop community including Ice Cube have pushed for the corner where Nipsey's store stands to be renamed in his honor.
Lori Loughlin's daughters are not allowed to withdraw from USC yet
Olivia Jade Giannulli and her sister, Isabella, won't have the luxury of dropping out of U.S.C. amid an investigation into the criminal activities undertaken by their parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, to get them into the school. In a statement published this week by Us Weekly, the college announced it has "placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme," explaining: "This prevents the students from registering for classes (until they have agreed to participate in the review of their case), withdrawing from the university, or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review." Last month, Isabella, 20, and Olivia, 19, were rumored to have withdrawn from U.S.C. ahead of their parents' hearing. The university says it wants to conduct "case by case reviews" of the dozens of students whose parents allegedly bribed or cheated to get their kids in, so the school may take whatever action is deemed appropriate, including expulsion. Lori and Mossimo reportedly paid $500,000 to a recruiter to let the girls in as rowing recruits despite their never having participated in crew.
Kourtney Kardashian's new website sounds increasingly like Goop
Must be trademark application season in Hollywood. On the heels of reports Ariana Grande hopes to trademark an option for a "Thank U, Next" beauty product line, Kourtney Kardashian has apparently requested the right to expand the items offered on her Poosh lifestyle and ecommerce site. She launched Poosh last month, claiming its goal was to "educate, motivate, create, and curate a modern lifestyle, achievable by all." This month, she posted — and was subsequently dissed for — a "signature salad" comprised of no lettuce, herbs, or in one hater's opinion, "flavor." Anyway, she's now filed to trademark potentially more exciting, if less edible items including "Poosh-branded candles, tea, matcha powder, teapots, glassware, porcelain and earthenware, plates, bowls and other household containers," according to Page Six. The list also includes "serums, lotions, masks, creams, soaps, essential oils and scrubs," plus hair care products. As the tab astutely reminds us, all of this sounds quite a bit like what Gwyneth Paltrow is hawking successfully on Goop, save the advice about steaming certain body parts. The name "Poosh," it might be noted, also happens to sound an awful lot like "Goop" when rolled off the old tongue.
Channing Tatum pays tribute to the dog he and Jenna Dewan shared
Channing Tatum is still struggling with the loss of an important family member — the brown and pup her and his ex, Jenna Dewan, shared until their pet's death at age 5 in December. On Tuesday, April 9, Channing shared an Instagram photo of the pup sleeping adorably before him. "I miss you everyday," he wrote. The moving post comes four weeks after he quietly revealed she'd passed, posting a photo of the two playing on the beach. "I'll see you again baby girl," he wrote at the time. "But you'll always be with me." According to The Blast, the pooch suffered from cancer prior to her death.
Rebel Wilson opens up about dating before and since stardom
Back in 2012, before "Pitch Perfect" made Rebel Wilson a household name, dating was different. Lots of things were, in fact. As she shares in the new edition of InStyle, she's still trying to reconcile some of those changes — particularly with regard to romance. "People get very intimidated, which is weird, the idea that I would be intimidating to anyone," she admits. "But it happens all the time, to the point that someone I really liked was so intimidated and got a lot of anxiety and couldn't have a relationship with me because I'm in the public eye. They didn't want that, so that kind of sucked. If someone thinks they're on a date with Fat Amy, that's not going to happen. Sorry, I can be almost as much fun, but I'm not like that in real life."

Is Liam Payne following in Harry Styles' footsteps to make his way from music to acting? When Liam stopped by a the "Capital FM Breakfast" show this week, the One Direction alum said that after "lots" of acting lessons, he tried out for a part in the forthcoming remake of "West Side Story." "It was a bit of a cold room I'm not going to lie. It was like all curtained off in like a big warehouse type thing and he just kind of rolled in and was like 'Liam!' and I was like, 'this is wild.' Like, this is the craziest thing I've ever done in my life. But [Steven Spielberg] was super nice," he recalled, according to The Sun. "I didn't get [the part]," he added. "But I was in like the last five people for it which I was quite happy with 'cause it was a difficult — it was a big part in the film. … And it was the first audition I had ever done and I put four tapes in and then managed to get to meet Steven Spielberg so it was pretty amazing."
