Uncle Jesse gets an A+ for effort when it comes to romance. On Sunday, Oct. 22, he announced he'd popped the question to his girlfriend Caitlin McHugh at Disneyland and, as he told his fans and followers on social media, "she said 'yes.'" It turns out, the proposal was way more involved than your average down-on-one-knee ring presentation. Speaking to E! News, John's rep said the "Full House" alum Disney-ified the entire scene for Caitlin. "He cut together a film of some of the most romantic moments in Disney and Pixar animation," said the rep. "The film concluded with Sebastian from 'The Little Mermaid' encouraging John to 'Just ask the girl.' Caitlin said 'yes,' then John whisked her to 21 Royal where they shared the news and celebrated with their families." John, 54, has been dating the 31-year-old model and actress since the beginning of 2016. Congrats!

Is the next Super Bowl Half Time Show going to be a reboot of 2004? It could, if TMZ's information is correct. Following news Justin Timberlake is slated to perform at the game, the website checked in with the NFL to find out if there's any truth to rumors Janet Jackson was banned football after Justin revealed her breast onstage in the now infamous "wardrobe malfunction" during their performance 13 years ago. "There's no ban," a rep told TMZ. The league did not confirm or deny questions about whether Janet could be involved in Justin's performance. "We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests," said a rep. "There may be no guests. Along with Pepsi, we're excited to have Justin Timberlake."

Demi Lovato isn't sure she should have broken up with Wilmer Valderrama
It's been more than a year since Demi Lovato Wilmer Valderrama called it quits, but Demi still isn't sure ending their six-year relationship was the best thing for her. "I do have moments where it's late at night and I'm lonely and I wonder if I made the right decision, because love is a gamble. … I don't know if I'll lose him for the rest of my life," she says in her new documentary, "Simply Complicated" (via the Daily Mail). Adding that her "heart is always with Wilmer," she admits the "sparks" between the two are still powerful and that she doesn't think she'll ever "meet anybody that compares to him." The singer explains: "There are issues that I haven't conquered yet that I know I won't conquer if I'm relying on somebody else to take care of the loneliness. …I just wasn't ready and there was so much in my life that I hadn't explored yet." Demi also opens up about her battle with addiction in the doc, which premiered last week on YouTube. "I think that's what makes me a role model for people is that I'm not perfect," she muses. "It's that I'm honest about where I am, but I think for so long I've been such a strong advocate for the things I believe in, and certain things I still struggle with."

George Clooney talks Harvey Weinstein and fatherhood
George Clooney hopes the allegations that have come to light about Harvey Weinstein in recent weeks make a lasting difference in the way women are treated. "We've had this conversation considerably over the last few years," he said at the Los Angeles premiere for "Suburbicon," according to the Daily Mail. "We're going to have to get to the point where the women feel safe to talk about this and feel heard, and the men who do this don't feel safe. Hopefully this is going to be a moment and it's not just going to be stupid Harvey Weinstein jokes in a few months, while nothing changes." Speaking to ITV, he added: "'This wasn't just guys hitting on girls, this is assault. If we don't address this and really go after Harvey, it will come back." The actor, who brought his wife, Amal Clooney, and mother-in-law, Baria Alamuddin, to the premiere, also shared an update on the twins he and Amal welcomed this summer, saying Alexander "weighs three pounds more than his sister," and joking about their different personalities. Solange Knowles gets an apology for photo editing from the Evening Standard
The Evening Standard magazine has issued an apology to Solange Knowles after she called them out on social media for editing out the large, circular braid she wore to a photo shoot for her new cover story. Sharing a photo of her original hairdo on Instagram, along with the caption "dtmh," in reference to her song, "Don't Touch My Hair," she showed followers the change the magazine made, despite the fact that she talked candidly about how, while growing up, her mother's hair salon taught her about "sisterhood and storytelling," while creating a "safe haven" from her day-to-day responsibilities. In the magazine's public apology, its editors wrote: "We were delighted to have the chance to interview the wonderful Solange Knowles and photograph her for this week's edition of ES magazine. It is therefore a matter of great regret that the finished cover artwork of the magazine caused concern and offense. The decision to amend the photograph was taken for layout purposes but plainly we made the wrong call and we have offered our unreserved apologies to Solange," according to E! News. The writer of the story, Angelica Bastien, also claimed the magazine had "distorted" her work "and reporting in ways that made [her very uncomfortable."
Faye Dunaway's reaction to a hair salon bill makes headline news
Faye Dunaway had a falling out with a New York hair salon that resulted in somewhat of a scene, according to the New York Post. The tabloid reports the actress complained after she was charged the full price of hair extensions — $3,000 — when all she got was touch-ups. "She claimed she didn't know it was that expensive and then said, 'I'm not paying that. I can't believe how expensive this is. I'm only paying half,'" a source told the Post. The insider claims the salon accepted her half payment but warned her she would still be responsible for paying the rest of the price– a warning she allegedly reacted to by yelling that it was a ridiculous price. She later told the tab she'd prefer if they would not go public with the news. "I've now paid the whole thing — but I will not be going back there because it is not the price they said it would be," she said. "So, I don't know what to say to you except I didn't throw a fit. I was just very alarmed at the amount they were charging me for the very small amount of hair work that they did." She continued of the coiffure calamity, "I am a normal human being and don't expect special favors, but I was shocked to be charged the same [fee] I had previously paid to get what was now a hair correction. I felt it was extravagant and inappropriate." The salon has not commented.
Tom Hanks urges 'furious' Americans to correct hings by learning from history
Despite all the devision in the world these days, Tom Hanks sounds determined to stay positive and believe in the ideals on which the United States was founded. Over the weekend he was honored with the Records of Achievements Award "for his powerful illumination of the American story through his vast body of work in film and television," according to JustJared. In an interview about the event with CNN, he pointed out that Americans have the ability to learn from the past as they look toward the future. "People are upset about what's going on today. They're furious, they're frustrated, they're worked up. If you're concerned about what's going on today, read history and figure out what to do because it's all right there," he said. "As we continually move towards a more perfect union. That magnificent document (the U.S. Constitution) out there, that might be the only self-correcting, open-ended document anywhere on the planet Earth (that) keeps us going, that keeps saying that we're going to learn how to do that one thing we've already sort of done, we're going to become better and better and better."
Kit Harington admits he was wrong about sexism comments
Kit Harington is clarifying a previous statement about sexism by explaining he understands a difference exists between sexism and objectification and between the experiences of sexism towards women and gender-based bias towards men. "Look, I do think men can get objectified," he recently told the Guardian in reference to his May 2016 assertion that sexism "towards men" exists in Hollywood. "I do feel I have been objectified in the past, sexually as well, in pieces that have been written about me," he explained. "Has that made me feel uncomfortable in the past? Yes. Do I think my position is the same as a woman's in society? No. They're very different things, and I should have separated them. I was wrong."
Jane Fonda: Sexuality issues are universal
Earlier this year. Jane Fonda revealed she'd been sexually abused as a child and raped. Now, with dozens of women in Hollywood speaking out about the pervasive nature of such abuse, the 79-year-old star is opening up again about the female experience when it comes to sex. "I don't think I'm the only woman whose life has been profoundly affected by issues of sexuality," she says in the new edition of Stellar magazine (via JustJared). "Whether it's abuse, or wanting to please, or betrayal, or insecurity … it's quite universal," Jane continues. "Sex has had a big impact on my life –- and not always in a good way.'"
Harry Styles' fans react to groping incident
As the "me too" hashtag continued its viral reign on social media over the weekend, Harry Styles' fans were disheartened to learn the singer was grabbed inappropriately during his performance in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 21. "Harry deserves appreciation, support and respect from us. Harry is not an object, he is a human, you should always remember that. Treat ALL people with kindness AND respect," wrote one Twitter user (via Us Weekly). Others used the incident to speak out about the fact that sexual assault isn't restricted to one gender or the other. "This is a prime example that men are not the only ones that touch women without permission! Women also sexually assault," read one tweet. The groping incident took place when Harry knelt down on the stage close to the audience and someone reached for his crotch.
