Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin put on a PDA display for Maple Leafs' loss
There will be no Stanley Cup run for Justin Bieber's favorite hockey team this year. On the plus side, while God seemed not to have heeded Justin's Instagram request, which read, "Dear lord please be with Austin Mathews, Mitch Marner and all of the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight as they play game 7 against the Boston bruins" (way to be specific, bro, maybe he's basketball fan), the Biebs did get plenty of hands-on support through the painful game from his wife, Hailey Bieber. Photos published by the Daily Mail show the model sitting behind him with her legs around him, cuddling in his arms and flirting spectacularly during the game-slash-date night in Boston on Monday, April 22. Perhaps He's listening after all …

Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman get some love from Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart is commiserating with Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman as the actresses wait to find out what their future holds after they were accused of cheating the system to get their kids into college. "I just feel sorry for them and they might have made a bad mistake," Martha — who served five months behind bars on felony charges in an early 2000s stock trading case — told ET. As Page Six reminds us, Martha was not a fan of prison ("no one should have to go through that," she told Katie Couric in 2017, adding, "t's a very, very awful thing"). Earlier this month, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to allegations they paid $500,000 in bribe money to secure admission for their daughters to U.S.C., while Felicity pleaded guilty to one fraud charge after allegedly paying out $15,000 to get her daughter a better SAT score. She's due in court for sentencing May 21.
Taylor Swift's Time 100 gown fuels more new music anticipation
We're pretty sure we speak for all the Swifties when we ask — in all caps — WHAT IS UP WITH THE PRINCESS VIBES, TAYLOR?! After months of cryptic, pastel-colored, Ariel/"Little Mermaid" and other princess-referencing Instagram posts, Taylor wore the most Disney dress J. Mendel ever created to Tuesday, April 23's Time 100 Gala performance, where she sang an acoustic retrospective of her songs. According to Elle, the billowy, pink number with yellow accents was punctuated with matching Chloe Gosselin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. But did she say anything on social media about what's coming on Friday — the date she's been hinting will usher in a new single release? Of course not. She just shared a pic of herself in the aforementioned gown surrounded by lilacs and captioned it, "It's TIME." The next day, she shared another pastel-filtered image of roses in a vase beside some rose-tinted glassware and the numbers, "4.26." Girl! We got it. Friday … sigh.

'Empire' cast writes group open letter of support for Jussie Smollett
There were rumors of tension between Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett as the younger "Empire" star battled questions about the alleged hate crime he either suffered or staged against himself in Chicago earlier this year. But now, Terrence and most of the other major players on the show have petitioned execs at the network, producers and other decision makers to keep Jussie on board as "Empire" heads into its sixth season – in spite of lingering suspicion he may have planned the attack himself. "Together, as a united front, we stand with Jussie Smollett and ask that our co-star, brother and friend be brought back for our sixth season of Empire," wrote Terrence Howard, Taraji P Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Trai Byers, Gabourey Sidibe and Nicole Ari Parker, according to Deadline. "We understand the past months have been difficult to process—sometimes the headlines brought more confusion than clarity, yet we now have a conclusion to this ordeal. Throughout Empire's five seasons working with Jussie and watching how he has conducted himself throughout this traumatic event, we have come to know not just the character Jussie portrays, but also truly come to know Jussie's personal character. He is kind. He is compassionate. He is honest and above all he is filled with integrity. He is also innocent and no longer subject to legal uncertainty with the criminal charges against him having been dropped. We are confident in his lawyer's assurance that the case was dismissed because it would not have prevailed." They went on to cite Jussie's accomplishments "as a leader" among friends and castmates, as well as community groups like The Black AIDS Institute, the Rainbow Push Coalition and the City Lights Orchestra. "He has adopted a school in Chicago, taught songwriting to incarcerated youth at the Cook County Jail last year and bought the family of Kayden Kinckle, a six-year-old, double amputee, a wheelchair accessible van due to his school district not having a wheelchair accessible school bus," the stars continued. "He has traveled to South Africa for service as well as to Jamaica to quietly meet about the safety of LGBTQ youth. This was all done without posturing, the need for attention or even discussion. This is the Jussie we know. It's clearer every day that the extreme political climate in our country has only made our system of justice and the court of public opinion more unjust." In conclusion, they said it's important they "stand together as a family … in good times and bad," echoing sentiments expressed by Lori Loughlin's "Fuller House" castmates after her involvement in the college admissions scandal was revealed. "That is why we write today to ask you to keep Jussie on the cast so that we can all put this behind us and move forward," they wrote. "Thank you for taking time to hear us. It's our hope that together we will move into our sixth season as the entire Empire family should."
Is Wendy Williams replacing Kevin Hunter with Bernie Young?
With Kevin Hunter out of his executive producer role at "The Wendy Williams Show," as well as his managerial role in his soon-to-be ex-wife's career in general, Wendy is reportedly "taking over her empire" herself. That's according to People, which reported this week that Wendy "was kept out of the loop a lot" since she's the talent in addition to being an executive producer. Now, she's apparently taking a more active role in matters that would have previously been left to her husband. A rep for the show has also confirmed to Page Six that Wendy's the only existing EP for her series and that "there are no plans to hire" anyone else. Despite that confirmation, the tab claims Wendy is actually hiring someone to take over Kevin's former duties. According to Page Six's info, Bernie Young — who worked for many years on both "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "Martha" — is on deck as Wendy's future manager and EP. Wendy filed for divorce from Kevin after more than 20 years of marriage amid reports he was abusive towards her and that he fathered a child with another woman. The show host is now said to be in the process of "cutting all ties" with Kevin.
John Stamos says Caitlin McHugh was 'hammered' when she had their baby
Husbands say the darndest things. Just ask Caitlin McHugh, whose partner, John Stamos, helpfully described her as having been "hammered" when she gave birth to their son, Billy. As he explained to People, Caitlin thought she was having contractions but the baby wasn't ready to come out. "The doctor said, 'Why don't you go home and have a glass of wine?'" John recalled. "She normally doesn't drink and hadn't for months." And then? "She was hammered," John joked. Finally, Billy arrived. "All we talk about now is baby poo," Caitlin admitted. "I waited a long time for a kid," John noted. "He can poo and pee on me all he wants."
Britney Spears gets a new conservatorship court date
Could Britney Spears be ready to scrap the conservatorship after her treatment program? On Wednesday, April 24, ET reported that a new hearing in the singer's conservatorship, which has remained under her father's jurisdiction for years, is now scheduled for May 10. As her sole conservator, Jamie Spears, whose health has been failing since 2018, could give his daughter all of her normal adult rights back, depending on what's decided at the court date. Britney will reportedly not be required to attend.
Sorry, y'all: Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer are not parents yet
Listen to her now and believe her later: Amy Schumer has not had a baby yet. That was the message she urged fans to believe in a new Instagram post this week amid new rumors she and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first child already. "Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer set pulses racing while the heavily pregnant Schumer flaunts her growing bump," Amy joked, sharing a photo of herself with Chris on Tuesday, April 23. "Amy is still pregnant and puking because money rarely goes to medical studies for women such as hyperemesis or endometriosis and instead goes to things like [censor alert: think various words for male, sex-oriented studies and situations]." Ahem.
Alec Baldwin warns it's now or never in the fight against global warming
For those of you keeping score at home, there's plenty of serious fuel behind Alec Baldwin's hilarious Donald Trump impressions on "Saturday Night Live" — a fact he made clear this week while moderating a panel at the United Nations on "threats to 'Forest Defenders," according to Page Six. Referring to places like Peru and Brazil, where activists representing indigenous communities have been murdered while fighting deforestation, Alec said "it's very unsettling" that powerful people who don't understand the land as well as the indigenous people are taking action "to get rid of them by whatever means necessary." the panel took place right after Earth Day, which Trump acknowledged primarily by saying only that, "a strong market economy is essential to protecting our critical natural resources and fostering a legacy of conservation." During the panel, Alec also noted that while Americans seem to think our country's resources mean we will do the proverbial right thing in environmental matters, the truth is that, "we're becoming more and more like other parts of the world where anything goes, regulations being set aside." Cautioning that "this may be our last [chance] in the next 20 years" to try and stop global warming, he added: "There are things that we just can't imagine that can happen in terms of the food supply, in terms of climate change, in terms of flooding in coastal areas in the United States and beyond. The time is now to make certain sacrifices … so that this planet will remain habitable" for today's children.
Melissa Rivers gets candid about her father's suicide in new podcast
Melissa Rivers knows all too well how suicide affects a family. Her father, Joan Rivers' husband Edgar Rosenberg, took his own life in 1987, just days after Joan said she wanted to separate. In a new podcast called "Life After Suicide," Melissa opens up about her feelings after her father's death all those years ago. "I was angry at my mom. I was angry at my dad — I was angry at the UPS worker. I used to call it like this free-floating sort of anger," she says in a preview via the Daily Mail. "Oh my god you feel like you have a big giant stamp on you," Melissa admits later in the conversation. "Nobody knows what to say, nobody knows how to address you, nobody knows what's OK to bring up. You feel so alone." Helmed by ABC News Chief Medical Corespondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, whose husband of 22 years committed suicide as well, the podcast focuses on the stories of loved ones who have been through similar experiences. It premieres May 1 on ABCNews.com.
