Katy Perry just earned a fan for life. And that's appropriate, given that her first new solo track in two years is called "Never Really Over." The night before the single's Thursday, May 30, release, Katy got together with a slew of fans at YouTube Space Los Angeles, where she treated them to a preview of the song and accompanying video. She also told everyone there was a tattoo truck outside waiting for them to commemorate the event — then promptly got a matching broken heart tattoo that reads "miss," while fans who were up for the body art got the other half of the broken heart — with the word "you." The tats were a hit. Matheus Rodrigues later posted photos of himself getting inked and hanging with the singer. "Katy Perry, thank u for being the most adorable&lovely person of the world," he gushed (via Page Six). "I love you so much, is a honor to have my first tattoo ever with you. MATCHING TATTOOS FOR LIFE,&our connection is #NeverReallyOver." Last year, Katy got a tattoo to commemorate the end of her Witness tour.

Kanye West explains what a bipolar episode feels like

Kanye West wants people who don't suffer from bipolar disorder to better understand those who do. The rapper, whose last album cover featured the words, "i hate being bipolar it's awesome," appears on the new season of David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction," and in new footage published by TMZ ahead of the premiere, 'Ye tries to explain what a bipolar episode feels like. "I feel a heightened connection with the universe when I'm ramping up," he begins. "It is a health issue," he adds. He then likens the condition to a sprained ankle, saying it's more "like a sprained brain." And while nobody would "push on" someone with a sprained ankle, Kanye says "people do everything … to make it worse," thereby, presumably, exacerbating the condition. He's most likely referring to the 2016 incident in which he claims he was handcuffed to a hospital bed then left alone, though he's also implied he opposes medication for bipolar disorder in the past. The show airs Friday, May 31, on Netflix.

Lori Loughlin's daughters spotted together in public for the first time since scandal news broke

Lori Loughlin Mossimo Giannulli's daughters, Olivia and Isabella, have been keeping an understandably low profile since their parents were accused of paying $500,000 worth of bribes to get them into USC. But the sisters stepped out together on Monday, May 26, according to Page Six, which published a photo of the two outside West Hollywood hotspot, Bootsy Bellows. The girls' parents have pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering and are currently waiting to learn if they'll get jail time, which by most accounts seems likely. Us Weekly recently reported Olivia was aware how her parents got her into college but did not think anything was wrong with it.

When it comes to parenting, Hoda Gifford has some serious information resources in her current and former "Today" show co-anchors, Kathie Lee Gifford and Jenna Bush Hager. "With Jenna, I learned not to sweat the small stuff," Hoda told Us Weekly at an event this week. "She's like, 'Don't freak out, you're not a bad mother because you forgot to do this or you didn't do that.' I think she kind of reminds you we're all a little flawed. Don't sweat it, don't try to get it all right because you're not going to get it right." The mother of two — Hoda's older daughter, Haley, is 2, while her youngest is 1 — also credited the "Today" team's wisdom with Haley's good manners. "One thing I learned from Kathie Lee is one of Haley's first words or two words she says all the time, 'Please' or 'Thank you,'" Hoda explained. "Those are big Kathie Lee words. Now, I'll hand Haley her bottle and she'll go, 'Thank you, mama.' I'm like, 'Oh, my God.'" Hoda also admitted she's been missing Kathie Lee since she left NBC and moved to Tennessee. "She came over to visit and see the kids [last month]. She's loving Nashville. She's a country music freak, and she's happy," said Hoda. "All you want is for someone to be happy and she is. I miss her though. I really do."

Adam Levine's 'Voice' departure will cost him big: THR

Adam Levine must have really needed to ditch "The Voice." Amid reports of tanking ratings and whispers about his less-than-enthusiastic NBC Upfronts appearance, the 16-season "Voice" veteran announced suddenly this month that he would not return. Gwen Stefani is slated to take over his position on the show as Adam preps for a summer tour and continues working on his new music competition show, "Songland." As THR points out in a new feature about his departure, however, Adam's decision to leave will cost him big. He had reportedly inked a deal to return for two more seasons. But insiders tell THR he was "increasingly anxious in recent weeks to move on." Sources also said that he was most recently earning more than $14 million a season for "The Voice," making his exit a $30 million loss.

Ashton Kutcher testifies in alleged serial killer's murder trial

Ashton Kutcher was in court this week, testifying about his last interactions with Ashley Ellerin, who authorities believe was murdered by Michael Gargiulo, a suspected serial killer and Ashley's neighbor at the time. Gargiulo is on trial for two counts of murder. Both of his alleged victims were young women. People reports Ashton had first date plans with Ashley, 22, on Feb. 21, 2001. He told the court the two spoke that evening on the phone but when he tried to reach her again repeatedly, she did not answer. He said he finally went to her house between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m. and knocked but again, she didn't answer. He noticed the lights were on and the door was locked, but said in his testimony he "just assumed she had gone out with her friend and bailed," because he was late. Police believe she had been killed by the time he arrived. He learned she'd been brutally stabbed the next day and contacted the police. "My fingerprints are on this door and I was freaking out," he said at one point, recalling how he'd tried to open the door when she didn't answer. "I told [an officer], 'Let me tell you what happened.'" The suspect also faces a murder charge in the stabbing deaths of a young woman in 2005 in her home and another woman in 1993, as well as the attempted murder of yet another female victim.

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams' parents still have met each other

How long can a couple last without their parents being in the same room together? Sarah Hyland and her boyfriend, Wells Adams, hope the answer is "indefinitely." In a new edition of his "Your Favorite Thing" podcast, the 34-year-old "Bachelor" alum reveals that after almost two years of dating, "My parents haven't met Sarah's parents and for good reason — they both fall on opposite sides of the political spectrum and I'm just sure someone's going to get into a fight about something," according to the Daily Mail. "They are going to hang out one time and it's going to be at the wedding and the directive is no one is allowed to talk about politics," he adds. "It will be a bunch of liberal actors and my dad and my family who are a bunch of conservatives. My dad's a doctor, my brother-in-law is from oil money in Texas. It's going to be so weird," And no, Wells has not proposed, though he seems to have an engagement in his game plan. Sarah met Wells just a few days before her second kidney transplant. She's spoken openly about how invaluable his support through her various health issues has been.

Meryl Streep: Toxicity isn't about gender, it's about people

The newest addition to the women-centric series, "Big Little Lies," wants to clarify an area of gender equality few people talk about — the fact that women can behave in the same kind of violent, emotionally unstable and sexually aggressive way men can. Speaking to Vanity Fair about male fans of the show, Meryl recently said it's important to distinguish some characteristics as being simply human. "Sometimes, I think we're hurt. We hurt our boys by calling something toxic masculinity. I do," she said, according to the Daily Mail. "And I don't find putting those two words together [works] because women can be pretty f——toxic. It's toxic people. We have our good angles and we have our bad ones." Ultimately, she said, the goal has to be getting along with one another. "I think the labels are less helpful than what we're trying to get to, which is a communication, direct, between human beings" the Oscar winner added. "We're all in the boat together. We've got to make it work."

Jordyn Woods lands a guest starring role on 'Grownish'

The old saying, "there's no such thing as bad publicity," seems to be ringing true for Kylie Jenner's former pal, Jordyn Woods. In the wake of her alleged hookup with Khloe Kardashian's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, Jordyn continues to land attention-grabbing (and, presumably, income generating) gigs, starting with her "Red Table Talk" appearance. From there, she went on to speak on a panel about being, as she put it, "bullied by the world" for the Tristan incident. Now, she's heading for her first scripted television spot. "I've been waiting to share this with you guys but I am SO excited to guest star on this season of #grownish it returns June 5th on @freeform," she posted on Wednesday, May 29. "This was the first role I've ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time," she continued. "… Take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer." Page Six reports her first episode airs July 24. She plays a student named Dee whom People describes as a "sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability." Jordyn had been working with various Kardashian and Jenner siblings on projects including Khloe's Good American jeans brand. The family cut those ties almost immediately after they heard she'd hooked up with Tristan.

'RHOBH' cast could get caught up in fraud lawsuit against Kyle Richards' husband

The cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" has a new spate of drama looming ahead. Kyle Richards' husband, realtor Mauricio Umansky, is being sued by the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Manguea, and his Sweetwater Malibu CA, LLC, which claims Mauricio failed to sell a Malibu mansion for anything close to the highest offers. Instead, the plaintiff argues, Mauricio allegedly had plans all along to flip the house with the buyer a year after the sale as a means of earning another profit. This week, The Blast reported that because Kyle and Mauricio threw a huge Gatsby-themed party in the mansion, Obiang is demanding all "communications with any of the performed, producers, directors, writers, or any other persons affiliated with the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' television show related to the property or this action." The party in question took place during Season 7, with Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi and Lisa Vanderpump all in attendance. And because it wouldn't be the lives of any "Real Housewives" if the situation weren't super messy … Obiang was forced to sell the house after the U.S. government seized it because of a previous sale being made with money Obiang allegedly stole from his own country, where his father has been president for decades. Mauricio was also sued by (and later, countersued) the insurance company he used for the deal. Mauricio has denied all the allegations against him.
