Katy Perry's dog gets her first ad campaign

Looks like Lady Gaga's French bulldog has some competition in the famous pop star pooch department. This week, Citi announced Katy Perry's brown-haired micro teacup poodle Nugget has landed her first ad campaign. In a press release about Nugget's advertising duties for Citi's Double Cash credit card, the dog is quoted as saying, "I've traveled from stage to stage with Katy but it's time to take my solo career to the next level and ride my own wagging tail," according to Us Weekly. "I'm as happy as a hound dog chasing a gut truck to be launching this new campaign with Citi. It finally puts me on the pedestal on which I belong and leaves my sister friend Butters in the dust." Nugget's new campaign arrives May 22. In 2015, Gaga's puppy appeared in an ad for Coach.

Debra Messing asks Ivanka Trump to 'stop blindly defending' her father

Debra Messing is using every opportunity she gets to speak out against the current White House administration. Her latest platform came over the weekend, when she was honored with the GLAAD Excellence in Media Award. In her acceptance speech, she urged the audience to get pro-active about their beliefs. "Raise your voice, call the White House, call your representatives, call your Senators," she said (via Celebitchy). Debra then asked Ivanka Trump, specifically, to change the way she wields her new power in Washington and make an effort to protect women's rights. "There is someone I would like to make a direct appeal to this evening. It is the Secretary of State Ivanka Trump. Ivanka, girlfriend, what are you doing?" Debra began. "Come on, it's me Deb. Let's talk for a second one Jewish mother to another. It is not enough to simply say that women's issues are important to you. It's time to do something." She continued: "Ivanka, you can change the lives of millions of women and children just by telling your dad stories about real people who are suffering. Don't let him separate immigrant mothers from their American-born children. Don't let him take healthcare from women who need it … Ivanka please stop blindly defending your father and start defending what you say you believe in. You can't just write #womenwhowork and think you're advancing feminism. You need to be a woman who does good work #saywhatyoumeanandmeanwhatyousay." Debra closed the long request with this: "Ivanka, we know you love the guy who does your hair color. It's good by the way. So do right by your colorist and by all of us. Imagine how you'll feel sitting at Passover Seder if you can tell your children that you fought for justice and freedom."

Henson. "To be fair, I don't know why that saleswoman didn't want to help me. "Maybe my whole life, every time I thought someone was being racist, they were actually mistreating me because I'm fat. That sucks too. That's not OK. I've felt unwelcome in many stores throughout my life, but I just kind of deal with it. As a successful adult, sometimes I walk out of the store in a huff, without getting what I want, denying them my hard-earned money. Other times I spend my money in an unfriendly store as if to say 'F— you! I'll buy this whole damn store!'" Ultimately, she says, it's her and women like her who come out behind. "Either way, they win and I lose. Maybe I still feel like this treatment is owed to me from my teenage kleptomaniac phase," she wonders, having admitted she went through a brief stint of pocketing items that weren't hers as a teenager. Michael Fassbender: 'You have to be robust' to handle bad reviews

If Michael Fassbender's new film "Alien: Covenant" gets negative reviews, he's ready for them. "I try to process it, doesn't mean I succeed," he recently said (via JustJared). "I read reviews and they sting if they're bad, but I've always been luckily able to judge for myself, all the way back from student days. You have to be robust in this profession." For Michael, that "robustness" can probably be attributed to his parents, whom he said gave him the best piece of advice he'd ever received. Prince William, Duchess want to make runs to Prince George's school 'as much as possible'

As Prince William and Duchess Kate prepare for Prince George's first year of school this fall, the royal couple are reportedly planning pick up and drop off their firstborn "as much as possible," a source tells People (via Celebitchy). George, 3, will be attending Thomas' Battersea School, a London institution said to be less ritzy and socially exclusive than other options closer to home. "Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education," a spokesperson from Kensington Palace said recently in a statement.

When it comes to her performances on "Dancing With the Stars," Olympic superstar Simone Biles is focused on winning — not ingratiating herself to the judges during her reviews. On this week's episode, Tom Bergeron seemed confused Simone remained stoic through their comments. "I was waiting for you to smile at some of the compliments, you didn't," he told her, according to JustJared. "Smiling doesn't win you gold medals," she replied. Christina El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa are being sued

"Flip or Flop" stars Christina El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa are facing a $37,800 lawsuit. TMZ reports Jonathan Schmier claims he was hired to find the pair houses they'd be able to renovate at a fee of $5,000 per house found. According to the plaintiff, he has yet to be paid despite having found five homes that met the criteria of what they were hunting for. Reps for the stars had not commented as of Tuesday, May 9.
