Elisabeth Moss on women's rights: 'You've got to pick a side'
Having graduated from '60s feminist Peggy on "Mad Men" to dystopian heroine Offred on "The Handmaid's Tale," which she also co-produces, Elisabeth Moss finds herself at the center of some of television's strongest statements about the struggle for gender equality. "I'm a staunch believer in women's rights. I don't really give a s— about anybody who isn't," she says in a new interview with THR. "What I've learned is, now is not really a time to stand in the middle. You've got to pick a side." Elisabeth's side is the one standing up for progress. 'Have I experienced sexism like Peggy did in the 1960s? Of course not," she says. "But have there been times when I haven't made as much as a man? I'm sure. And it's a factual thing, not a matter of opinion. That's sexist."
Alison Brie calls 'GLOW' a 'game changer' when it comes to women's relationships with their bodies
Playing a mostly out-of-work actress-turned wrestler on "GLOW" gave Alison Brie a renewed perspective on her relationship with her body. Opening up about the series and its effect on her and the rest of the cast, Alison tells W the show helped her see the importance of "being one" with her physical self, something thats hard for women in particular. "In terms of how we related to our bodies, it was a game changer … as actresses and as a society, sometimes I feel like women are made to be almost hyper aware of their bodies in a very unhealthy way," she says. "Figuring out what the standard of beauty is and trying to fit into that box. And this was about being one with our bodies rather than being at odds with our bodies. It wasn't about setting outlandish expectations for our own bodies—it was about embracing our strengths and working with our bodies, feeling like athletes, feeding and fueling our bodies in a literal way with calories and also in an emotional way. You needed confidence, you wanted to build yourself up and think, I can do this, I'm capable. And when I was thinking about my body, I was seldom thinking about how it actually looked and more thinking about what it can do."

Jada Pinkett Smith's relationship with Tupac Shakur began when she was a drug dealer
Jada Pinkett Smith has been open about her issues with "All Eyes on Me," the new Tupac Shakur biopic. She's called the portrayal of her relationship with the late rap icon "hurtful," but she hadn't elaborated much on why until she sat down with Sway on his Sirius XM Radio show this week. "It's kind of hard because I haven't really told the whole story. One of the things that's very interesting that I've never really said before is that when I first met Pac, I was a drug dealer," she said on the Wednesday, July 19 edition of "Sway in the Morning," according to the New York Post. "That's how we started. Then as I was coming out, something very bad happened to me. As I was coming out of the life, he was coming more into the life."Jada also acknowledged the fact that rumors have suggested she and Tupac were more than just friends. "Pac and I's relationship was about survival," she said. "That's how it started. I know that most people want to always connect it in this romance thing and that's just because they don't have the story. It was based in survival, how we held each other down and when you have somebody that has your back when you feel like you're nothing, that's everything. There's a lot of components to our story that we've never shared for a very specific reason. I just decided that this one little piece was important to share finally because it gives more insight to who we were. It was about survival and it's always been about survival between us."
