Kim Kardashian West gets candid about Kanye's battle with COVID-19
If you keep up with any of the Kardashians, you know the family isn't exactly hurting for helpers, whether in the form of a glam squad, a team of security guards, drivers or business staffers. But as Kim Kardashian West reveals in a new cover story for GRAZIA, she was pretty much on her own earlier this year when her husband, Kanye West, was suffering from COVID-19. "Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on," she explained. "It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no-one else in the house to help." Kanye appears to have contracted the virus sometime in February or March — Kim says he tested positive around mid-March, while Kanye said he was sick in late February. "I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn't feeling good. It was a challenge because it was so unknown," the mother of four shared. "Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time," she recalled. At this point, at least according to GRAZIA, Kim has "reconciled her feelings about the pandemic." As Kim put it in the interview: "I'm the type of person that respects the process, that respects what's going on in the world." She added: "Maybe our planet needed a break."

Mariah Carey says her relationship with ex-fiance James Packer was never 'physical'
Mariah Carey's short-lived engagement to Australian businessman James Packer never became "physical," the singer said in a new interview with The Guardian. That's apparently why James didn't make it into her new memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey." "If it was a relationship that mattered, it's in the book. If not, it didn't occur," she told the outlet. She went on to clarify: "We didn't have a physical relationship, to be honest with you." Mariah met James in 2014 and were reportedly at the vacation-together stage of their relationship by the following June. James proposed in 2016 and Mariah happily accepted, showing off the massive, 35-carat sparkler for much of that year. But by 2016, the two had called off the engagement and gone their separate ways. Their split ultimately became messy and involved a complicated financial agreement before they were totally done with one another. Speaking to The Australian in 2017, James spoke of Mariah in positive terms, but said it wasn't meant to be. "I was at a low point in my personal life," he explained at the time. "She was kind, exciting and fun. Mariah is a woman of substance. But it was a mistake for her and a mistake for me."

The coronavirus quarantine may have some couples yearning for a break from one another — but Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are not one of them. Over the weekend, Comments By Celebs noticed Eva, 46, gracefully shut down a troll who made a comment about her relationship after she shared an old, black and white photo of herself frolicking on a beach. "Went for a run on the beach this morning 🖤 No I didn't," she captioned the pic. "This picture was taken at least 15 years ago. Haven't seen a beach this year. Haven't been on a run this year. 🖤" When a follower chimed in to say, "You need to tell Ryan to get you out more," Eva simply replied: "No thank you, I'm good. Rather be home with my man than anywhere else in the world." (Eva didn't have the last word in the exchange though. That prize belongs to the user who wrote, "I'd rather be at home with her man too 🤣.")
Brad Pitt reportedly wants '50/50 custody' of the kids in Angelina Jolie divorce
A hearing in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's ongoing custody battle scheduled for Monday has been delayed amid disputes over the private judge overseeing their case, ET reports. Among the issues up for discussion was Brad's request for joint custody of the five children they share who are under the age of 18. (Maddox Jolie-Pitt, who reportedly never reconciled with his dad after their fight on a plane in 2016, is 19 and attends college in South Korea.) "Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place," a source tells ET. "Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting." It seems the stars' custody decisions fell off-course after Angelina requested a new judge in their case, citing potential bias related to business relationships the current judge has with Brad's lawyers. ET's source claims Brad's "been respectful of Angelina's parenting" choices even when he's disagreed with them and has worked hard to avoid a "court situation" but feels he now has "no other choice. "He also knows his love and presence are needed," the insider adds, noting that he's tried to ensure "the kids … don't feel stuck in the middle" of their parents' disagreements, which seemed to be coming to an end as of June, when Brad was spotted leaving Angelina's house for the first time in ages. A separate source assures the outlet, "No one wants this case over more than Angelina." According to ET, the kids' schedules have been "decided by the courts" during the four years since Angelina filed for divorce.

Dolly Parton in talks to pose for Playboy for her 75th bday
Back in March, when asked about her retirement plans, Dolly Parton told "60 Minutes Australia," "I don't plan to retire," adding that she just "just turned 74" and intends to appear on the cover of Playboy again at 75. "I thought it'd be such a hoot if they go for it," she said at the time. Now, it sounds like the magazine might do just that. In a recent interview with Radio 5 Live's "Scott Mills & Chris Stark Show," Dolly confirmed she's in talks with the men's magazine about a January cover that would coincide with her birthday. "Yeah, I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste and we'll do it along with a really good interview inside," she told the radio hosts (via Page Six). "So, yeah, we've talked about it." The legendary singer and songwriter last covered Playboy in 1978 at age 32, though she didn't go completely bare for the shoot.
Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling address Jessica Alba's 'no eye contact' rule on '90210' claim
Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth have responded to Jessica Alba's assertion that she was instructed not to make eye contact with the cast when she was a guest star on "Beverly Hills 90210." And while they didn't confirm there was a no eye contact rule, they sure failed to deny it. "I had all the scenes with her," Jennie says in a new trailer for "9021OMG," her new podcast with Tori. "If anybody didn't want to have their eyes looked into, it would've been me," she continues, "but I don't remember 'cause I have the world's worst memory." Tori then seems to skirt the matter entirely, opting instead to praise Jessica, who played Leanne in two episodes as an up-and-coming actress. "From the vague memories I have of working with her, I only remember her being super talented," Tori says in the clip. "She was very young, and she was really sweet. It does not surprise me that she's gone on to be so successful." Tori also admits she was "a little horrified" when she heard Jessica's recollection on the Oct. 1 edition of "Hot Ones" because "because her baby wipes are my favorite." According to Jessica, she was made to understand she'd be "thrown off set" if she looked into the eyes of any regular cast member, including while she was acting in scenes with them. This past Sunday marked the 30th anniversary of the long-running show's debut.
Teresa Giudice slammed for hosting her daughter's large, seemingly mask-free birthday party
As Donald Trump, Melania Trump and a growing number of their staffers tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days, Trump fan Teresa Giudice was slammed on social media for throwing her daughter Gabriella Giudice a Sweet 16 party where it appeared no guests wore masks or practiced social distancing. A video posted and later deleted by Teresa showed "dozens of people" without masks partying in Gabriella's honor inside New York City's Dream Downtown hotel over the weekend, according to the Daily Mail. The video also shows a server standing alongside the mostly teenaged crowd; he appeared to be the only person with a mask on, the outlet reported. "Curious to see how many COVID cases will come from this since you obviously didn't require masks or social distancing," one person wrote to Teresa on social media. Others called the "Real Housewives" star "irresponsible" and worse. Yet another accused Gabriella of being extra selfish given her personal experience with not being able to see her parents, who were both incarcerated on fraud charges before her dad, Joe Giudice, was deported. A Twitter user also took aim at Bravo's Andy Cohen, posting. "Yep. And they are filming HW now I think…so are these kids gonna maybe get #sick for a #RealityTV show? @Andy #RHONJ When is enough…enough? #badbehavior."
The 'Mean Girls' cast reunites on 'Mean Girls Day' to encourage voter participation
Saturday, Oct. 3, marked "Mean Girls Day," aka the day in the 2004 cult classic film when Aaron Samuels asks Cady Heron what day it is, after which the two begin having actual conversations that last more than 10 seconds. Since Oct. 3 also marks exactly one month until the Nov. 3 presidential election this year, Katie Couric, who's been working with HeadCount.org to get voter activations, celebrated by staging a virtual "Mean Girls" reunion with Tina Fey and the rest of the cast on Instagram. As they chatted about their memories from the set and more, Amanda Seyfried recalled being happy she got to play role the stereotypical "dumb blonde" role of Karen Smith because she sometimes played dumb herself in high school just to avoid drama, according to Variety. Lindsay Lohan later reflected on how she came to love Cady's crazy emotions, even though she initially hoped to play Regina George. "I mean during the process of filming for me, in between the movie I had done before and 'Mean Girls,' I had gone back to school, and it was a really weird transition for me," Lindsay explained. "I was kind of an outcast, so I really related to it when I had to play Cady," she added. For Lacey Chabert, it was the fact that her character, Gretchen Wieners', was so "intensely insecure" that gave her a "likeable" vulnerability Lacey appreciated. The 2017 Broadway musical version of "Mean Girls" is currently being made into a feature film. And as for those voter registrations, as Lacey put it during the reunion: "Vote on November 3rd. That would be so fetch."

Singer Joss Stone is expecting her first child with Cody DaLuz. The 33-year-old confirmed the news Monday on her podcast, "A Cuppa Happy," according to People. Speaking to her guest, influencer Ella Mills, about pregnancy, Joss said she's in "week 17 and just stopped feeling sick all the time," asking Ella, "Isn't it mad when you've got someone growing inside of you?" Cody joined Joss on the episode as well and the couple opened up about their frustration and anxiety around trying to conceive for "four or five months" before they had any luck. "I always told her I didn't care how long it takes. I said it will happen," Cody said. "He helped me stay positive," Joss shared. "The point is don't give in. The positivity helps. He helped me be positive when I was like, 'Oh, maybe I can't get pregnant,' 'cause that's what you think. You just think that. Every time, you're like, 'Why isn't it working?' And then you start questioning your age. You start questioning your eggs. You start questioning, 'Oh s—, I shouldn't have drank all that wine that night.' You do! But it will work."
