Kanye West's Chicago move announcement was reportedly news to Kim Kardashian
Kanye West may want to check in with his wife before he starts packing his bags for Chicago. 'Ye recently told a Windy City crowd he was moving back to his hometown and "never leaving again" during an appearance there with Chance the Rapper. Sources tell The Sun, however, that the rapper had not discussed this alleged move with Kim Kardashian West and she is not pleased with the idea. "She's never lived anywhere but L.A., and she's upset that Kanye is saying things like this publicly when they haven't even talked about moving. She's told him it's not happening," said one insider, adding that they've "just spent millions" renovating their mansion in the Hidden Hills section of Los Angeles (via The Daily Mail). Kim reportedly finds the idea of moving again exhausting. "She knows Kanye loves Chicago and it makes him feel close to his roots, but there's no way she'd consider moving full time. Kim's whole life is in L.A. — her family, her offices, her trainer, her stylists and her staff. About 25 people would have to move with her," the source said. She also doesn't want to give up seeing her mom and sisters on a daily basis or having the couple's children, North West, Saint West and Chicago West, spend time with their cousins regularly. Despite Kanye's claim he's "never leaving again," TMZ is reporting he plans to split time between Los Angeles and Chicago and that he's already found a place for the family to live. Whether that ever comes to fruition remains to be seen. The Chicago Tribune noted that Kanye's made a handful of promises in the past that he seems not to have kept. He recently tweeted that he was teaching a course at the Chicago Art Institute; the school soon announced it was "flattered" by Kanye's interest in teaching there but confirmed he is not currently a teacher there are "there are no plans" for him to become one in the future. He also tweeted he planned to open a "Yeezy office" in Chicago, that he was planning a "Chicago Comedy Jam" in October and would soon helm a project to "restore the Regal Theatre" there. There has been no indication those things are happening. What is clear, however, is that the charity he launched in his mother's name, Donda's House, recently severed ties with Kanye and changed its name.
Justin Bieber reportedly refused to sign a prenup with Hailey Baldwin
Did these two lovebirds just make a rash decision about their finances? The jury's still out on whether Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got married or simply got a marriage license at a New York City courthouse last week (Hailey's said she's not married in a now-deleted tweet, while her uncle, Alec Baldwin, said she is in fact the new Mrs. Bieber). Either way, it seems Justin has no interest in protecting his $265 million fortune with a prenup. "He refuses to get a prenup. He's deeply religious and believes that marriage is for life and divorce isn't an option," a source tells InTouchWeekly (via The Daily Mail). Us Weekly has also reported the couple "have no legal document in place to establish their separate property and financial rights in the event of a divorce." Hailey's net worth is significantly less than Justin's, but her deals with Guess, H&M, Adidas, Topshop, Sonia Rykiel, and Ralph Lauren have loaded up her wallet with about $2 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com. Justin's team, meanwhile, seem to be concerned he's making a bad choice with the prenup decision. "They think Justin is being naive," says InTouch's source. "Justin's family and management hope that he and Hailey work out but at the same time they want him to protect his assets." The latest wedding rumors for the two seem to point to a "big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love," possibly next week in Justin's native Canada.

Drake files suit against woman who claimed he raped her
Drake is suing a woman he slept with in February 2017 for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, defamation and abuse of process. That's according to TMZ, which recently released excerpts from Drake's filing. In court docs, he alleges that he met onetime porn star Layla Lace in Manchester, England, while he was on tour. He says they had consensual sex at a hotel and that afterwards, she was angry he didn't want to bring her on tour with him. He claims she went on to develop "a fantasy relationship" with him. When he got tired of engaging her via text, she got angry again and claimed on Instagram in 2017 that she was pregnant. "So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone!!!" she reportedly wrote at the time. He also points to her SiriusXM interview in which she announced Drake got her pregnant and says she got lawyered up and started demanding money for the baby, refused to take a paternity test, then stopped contacting him. "There is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last Fall," Drake says. After that, the lawsuit states Layla told New York City authorities he had raped her. She also got as new lawyer who asked for a new round of cash in return for her silence on her rape allegation, the lawsuit claims. The documents also say Manchester police ended up investigating the rape case and cleared Drake. She then said he had to pay her millions or she would start telling people he'd raped her again.
Kelly Clarkson's daughter is obsessed with 2000-era Chris Martin
River Blackstock has a serious thing for Coldplay — or maybe just Chris Martin. When her mom, Kelly Clarkson, stopped by "The Tonight Show" on Tuesday, Sept. 19, she explained that although she tries "to steer [her] away from Kelly Clarkson music" because she tends to act " like she doesn't know any other artist exists," the 4-year-old's true obsession is with Coldplay's 2000 song, "Yellow" and the 20-something version of the band's lead singer. "When I say obsessed, I mean the boy from the video, not Chris Martin now," Kelly said, according to ET. "She doesn't understand that he's not the boy in the 'Yellow' video, like when he first came out years ago … She's going to be slightly disappointed if she ever meets him because he's, you know, older than the boy in the video." When Jimmy pointed out that Chris is still quite handsome at 41, poor Kelly had to backtrack. "He's attractive. I don't mean that. He's just not the boy in the video," the singer said, before asking — oops — "Did I just insult Chris Martin? He's a very sexy man! I didn't mean to insult Chris Martin. I just meant she's confused with the ages." The obsession's apparently been going on for some time, too. Last month, Kelly shared a video that showed River in bed, adorably singing along to "Yellow" (although it came out more like "Lello"). "So my daughter wants to marry Chris Martin and is obsessed with his song Yellow," Kelly captioned the video. "She wants to marry the boy in the video, which I have informed her he is not a boy anymore and has kids older than her but she will have none of it, she is determined." Look out, Dakota Johnson: River Blackstock's coming' for your man.
Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa share their nursery prep ahead of daughter's arrival
It's almost baby time for Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa! The couple, who are expecting their first child together, spent a day this week organizing the nursery for their little one and sharing snippets of their set-up session on Instagram Stories. Posts snapped by People showed them picking out wallpaper for the room, unpacking their $1,160 Snoo Smart Sleeper bassinet and trying on their baby carrier. In another post that showed Danny wearing the baby carrier with a determined look on his face, Kate wrote, "I think someone's ready to go," tossing a few heart Emojis on the end. The baby will be Kate's first daughter — she also shares one son, Ryder, with ex Chris Robinson, and another little boy, Bingham, with ex Matt Bellamy.
Will Maroon 5 play the Super Bowl?
A few years ago, Adam Levine told Howard Stern Maroon 5 "very actively want to play the Super Bowl." Now, that dream may be coming true. "The offer has been extended and they've pretty much accepted," a source reportedly told Us Weekly. The NFL has not announced its pick yet for the 2019 Super Bowl Half Time Show performer. If they're going with Maroon 5, who released their last album, "Red Pill Blues," last year, there's one contingent of music lovers who won't be happy about it; in the wake of Kelly Clarkson's U.S. Open performance, an online petition surfaced in which Kelly's fans demanded the NFL hire her for the gig.
Maureen McCormick got sober to save her relationship with Michael Cummings
Maureen McCormick and Michael Cummings have been married for three decades, a fact Maureen attributes largely to her sobriety. After playing Marsha Brady on "The Brady Bunch" child star developed a serious drug addiction, particularly with cocaine. "My mom and dad, they almost turned me into the cops," the actress recently told Us Weekly. "They were at their last … 'cause they had been trying for years and knew something was going on and I was pretty sneaky and I could hide very, very well. But then I started messing up on jobs and so many things, so I'm sure everyone in the industry at the time knew that I was flaking out." It was only when Michael, whom she was dating at the time, told her they were finished if she kept using that she stopped. He was someone she said she knew she "could trust him with my whole heart" so she chose him over the drugs. "… It was before we were married and we were just dating — and I had my last relapse and he came to me and he said, 'if you ever do this drug again, I'm gone, I'm leaving,'" she recalled. "It woke me up. It was like the coldest shower you could ever take, there's just no way I'm gonna lose somebody that I love." Asked what she would say to others battling with substance abuse, she offered: "I recommend to anyone who's struggling is to throw that phone book out and do not, do not hang out with anyone who's using. I had to literally say goodbye to so many people that I was hanging out with."
Dax Shepard doesn't mind if Kristen Bell smokes weed despite his sobriety
Dax Shepard's been sober for 14 years but he's all good with his wife's habit of indulging in the occasional wacky tabacky puff. Speaking on Marc Maron's podcast, Kristen declared that "weed rules" and that she vapes marijuana when he's around "and it doesn't seem to bother him." She put it this way (via The Daily Mail): "Once a week, if I am exhausted and we are about to sit down and watch 60 Minutes, why not?" He's not only OK with her green habit, he wants her to try other drugs. "You shouldn't leave earth without having tried mushrooms or ecstasy," Kristen said Dax once told her. Kristen's love of weed, however, does not change her capacity for appreciating his sobriety. "I will forever be in awe of your dedication," she posted on Instagram on his most recent sobriety anniversary, "and the level of fierce moral inventory you perform on yourself, like an emotional surgery, every single night."
Ellen DeGeneres thinks Carrie Underwood is having a …
When Ellen DeGeneres has expectant guests on her show, she has a knack for guessing their gender correctly, as she did for Nick Cannon and Natalie Portman. Carrie Underwood appeared on "Ellen" this week and though she said she knew the gender and wasn't ready to share it, Ellen was ready to guess. "You have a little boy, right? How are you carrying versus when you carried him? Are you higher or lower?" Ellen asked (via E! News). "It's a different ball game. I feel like I didn't look pregnant, and then I woke up and I looked like this! I feel like you're trying to get me to talk about it so I'll say 'he' or 'she,'" Carrie said. "No, I've got other ways," Ellen joked. "It's a girl. It is." After Carrie asked, "You think?" Ellen told her she looked forward to seeing her after the baby was born. "When you come back here and when we talk about it after it's a little girl, I'll say, 'It was a girl.' OK? All right," Ellen said. "But you did say it was a 'whole new ball game,' which indicates it could be a boy. It's either a girl or a boy. I'm pretty good at guessing, like I said. I do think it's a girl, though. I can see it in your eyes. It's a girl. Anyway, congratulations. It's a little girl!"
