Leah Remini says Tom Cruise is not a good person
As Leah Remini prepared for the return of her docu-series, "Scientology and the Aftermath" this week, she held a Reddit AMA in which she minced zero words when the subject of Hollywood's No. 1 Scientologist Tom Cruise. When a user asked if the actor is a "good person," Leah replied, "No!" She then elaborated on her opinion, comparing him to the Church of Scientology's controversial leader. "Just going to get straight to it, no! There is a public persona of the guy who looks at you directly in the eye and shakes your hand and hugs you and is an attentive person to you and there's the person behind the mask who is a completely different person," said Leah, who has said taking down the church she was raised as a member of is her "passion." "Someone could say we all have that — what we are to the public and who we are behind the scenes, but the people who are around Tom and work for Tom, not even people who are Scientologists, they will say he is diaboloical(sic)," she continued. "He's very similar to David Miscavige, they could be twins." As the discussion continued, someone asked Leah if she "bumps(s) into the ol' Tom Cruise often." "I have not bumped into Tom," she replied, "and if we were to be in the same room Tom would be forced to walk out of the room and avoid me and any Ex-Scientologist." "Leah Remini: Scietology: The Aftermath" airs Tuesdays on A&E.

Are Kanye West and Kid Cudi collaborating on a secret project?
Sources tell the New York Post Kanye West has a secret new project in the works. Despite a seeming feud with Kid Cudi last year, the two are reportedly teaming up in the studio this month with plans to release their collaboration as a surprise. "… Nobody knows what it is — or what it sounds like," an insider tells the Post. "There are no professionals in the room. It's just Cudi, Kanye and an engineer. They're recording together in Japan." Kanye and Kid Cudi both sought professional mental help last year, when Kanye took time off following what was described as a "nervous breakdown" and Kid got treatment for what he summed up as "depression and suicidal urges." "I birthed you . . . I'm so hurt. I feel so disrespected. Kid Cudi, we're two black men in a racist world." As for their alleged beef, the source says it came and went and is in the past: "It was likely something that was lingering, but not as serious as it seemed. Kanye's always airing out whatever he's thinking onstage, but they've always been close."

North West hangs out with besties Penelope Disick and Ryan Romulus
"BEST FRIENDS 4EVA!" That's how Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West's friend and publicist Tracy Nguyen captioned this adorable shot of her daughter Ryan with North West and North's cousin Penelope Disick this week. The trio of cuties have been pals for the past couple years and frequently turn up on one another's moms' social media accounts. Although North apparently has a "no pictures" rule when it comes to paparazzi, photos taken by her mom — or any of her besties' moms — are clearly A-OK!
Kit Harrington flaps his wings like a dragon on the set of 'GoT'
Even seven kingdoms royalty's gotta goof around sometimes. "#youknownothingjonsnow," she hashtagged the post, adding, "#butyoudoknowhowtonotgetblownoffacliffingaleforsewindssotheresalwaysthat #everypunaboutwindicanthinkofinserthere." Now if he'd only bend the bloody knee there'll be no problems…..," she captioned the shot. The hashtags that followed that one were priceless: "MoDragonsMoProblems #igot99problemsandjonsnowisone #whichroundsmeupto100problems #youknownothingjonsnow." Is it Sunday yet?
Kylie Jenner wants to tone down her look
After years of experimenting with her look, Kylie Jenner might be ready to try going a little more natural. In a teaser for the next episode of "Life of Kylie," the 20-year-old admits she's kind of tired of trying so hard to surprise people with crazy new hair colors and makeup. "Honestly, like, guys I don't want to disappoint anybody, but I just want my hair long and black and pretty. I don't want to be a weirdo. I don't want to pull up with purple hair — I'm over it," she says in the clip, which E! News reports was short shortly before Coachella this spring. "I always try to be different. I always try to do new things. I think my following started to get a little bigger when I was just figuring out my style and who I was. Not everyone was dying their hair blue and green, you know. … People know I do what I want. They just don't know what to expect," she adds. "I'm over keeping up with this lifestyle of crazy hair and wigs and s—. Cool earrings, makeup, and my t— out!"
Why Justin Theroux didn't go to his 'Friends' audition
Thanks to the huge success of "The Leftovers," Justin Theroux is finally getting his due in Hollywood. If that means more attention on his personal life with Jennifer Aniston (if that's even possible), he's not likely to let it get to him. Speaking to Mr. Porter for the magazine's new issue, he explains how he handles the "bananas" degree of fame his house now contains. "If nothing else, I have a front-row seat to the insanity, to what make this town so bananas ….," he says. "[There's] this never-ending operative narrative on the pages of a magazine week to week. It's just not a part of me. There's this slightly insane person running around on the covers of tabloids who is mentally ill, clearly. I think it does drive people insane and you can tell who those people are in the world. You have to be the guardian of your own senses. If a tree falls in the forest and you're not there to see it, you know. But for the most part, it's not as pervasive in our lives as people think. Occasionally you'll get whacked by something. It's definitely something you have to analyze and come to terms with. Which I think [my wife] has done very elegantly and pretty effortlessly." Luckily, he adds, "I think I came into our relationship the same person as I am now." Later in the interview, he provides further evidence of the fact that he's still the same chill dude he was as a young actor trying to make it in New York City. Well, maybe "trying" is the wrong word. In the '90s, he says he was more interested in Checkhov plays, skateboarding and painting murals at nightclubs than auditioning for sitcoms, including "Friends," which he was called for. So did he try out? "No, I didn't bother," he says. "I slept in that day. I wouldn't have been prepared for [the fame]."

Another day, another shakeup in Washington. As news of White House Chief Strategist's ouster circulated on Friday, Aug. 18, celebrities were quick to react on Twitter. "Bye, boi! Now we REALLY have keep an eye on you. #BannonUnchained," Don Cheadle tweeted. Alyssa Milano shared a similar concern, writing, "Bannon is out. Beware! He can do the exact same thing without an official title in the Administration. Nothing changes until Trump is out." Michael Moore, meanwhile, summed up the firing news with a reference to Donald Trump's suggestion that the deadly white supremacist march in Charlottesville, Virginia, was the fault of angry people "on many sides." "BANNON GONE! When Bannon saw Trump able to defend white power all on his own," the director cracked, "he said 2 himself, "My job here is done. Mission accomplished."

"The color pic … is of her father, Davie Jones, in 1964, an ambitious 17-year-old King Bee himself with a very bright future ahead of him," the staffer handling the rock icon's social media wrote on the post. "Happy Birthday Lexi, here's wishing you a similarly bright future with love 'n stuff from everybody here."
