Megan Thee Stallion is slamming an online report that assault charges against Tory Lanez have been dropped. "Y'all can't tell when s— fake news?" she tweeted on Thursday, Jan. 21. "Y'all still don't see an ABUSER picking with me ?" The rapper has repeatedly alleged Tory shot her in both feet as she walked away from a car he was in during a night out in Los Angeles in July. She said on Twitter Thursday that Tory's first court date was postponed "bc of the inauguration," but that she "can't wait" until the "facts come out." "Y'all so believe black women and protect black women online," she posted, "BUT WHEN I LITERALLY SAY I GOT SHOT ITS CONFUSING." In another tweet, she addressed Tory directly, writing, "you shot me" and assuring him she has not and will not change her story. Multiple outlets have since verified Megan's claim that the court date was delayed and the charges still hold. People reports the hearing was initially scheduled for Jan. 20 but has since been moved to Feb. 25. In November, he pleaded not guilty to shooting Megan. "Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke?" she urged Twitter users Thursday. "That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up." Later, she posted that she's "still traumatized" by the deaths of her mother, her father and one of her grandmothers and is now also dealing with trauma from the shooting. "I'm not open abt anything on the internet usually bc I like to keep my emotions private but I'm reaching my limit. Im going to keep staying positive," Megan shared.

Clare Crawley says 'mutual' Dale Moss split was news to her
It seems Dale Moss and Clare Crawley's "mutual," post-"Bachelorette" split wasn't so mutual after all. After Dale announced he and Clare had decided together that ending things was "the healthiest decision for both of us at this time," Clare shared a long message on Instagram in which she claimed the breakup was news to her when Dale made the announcement. "I was made aware of a 'mutual' statement at the same time you all were, so I've needed some time to really digest this," Clare posted early on Thursday, Jan. 21. "Speaking for myself, my intentions with this relationship have always been very clear, so the truth is I am crushed," she admitted. "This was not what I expected or hoped for and am still trying to process this," she continued, adding that she'd been "looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel," presumably, marrying Dale, after a difficult year that was made harder because she's been "slowly losing" her mother. "Our relationship was not perfect," she wrote, "but … I was … invested with all of my heart." Before signing off, she vowed to "continue to show up, stand by my word, and be committed to love." Clare and Dale had reportedly been unable to agree on aspects about their future together, including where they'd live.

Chrissy Teigen is really enjoying her @POTUS Twitter follow
In his inaugural address this week, President Joe Biden told Americans, "I will give my all in your service …" He made good on that promise within hours of the inauguration — on Twitter, with one famous fan. Early on Wednesday, Jan. 21, Chrissy Teigen — who was in Washington, D.C., with her husband, John Legend, and her mom, Vilailuck Teigen, for the inauguration — jokingly asked, "hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz." She was referencing her long-running feud with Donald Trump, who at some point cut her off from communicating (read: mocking) him on the social media platform. Much to her surprise, the president's team responded by following Chrissy via the official @POTUS handle. In fact, the cookbook author was one of the first people the president's new account followed. According to People, @POTUS was only following 12 Twitter accounts by Thursday morning, and all of those but Chrissy's were affiliated with the White House. By Thursday afternoon, the POTUS handle was, appropriately, following 46 accounts, most of which were political colleagues, White House officials and cabinet candidates. The only Hollywood names on the president's following list as of 3 p.m. ET were Chrissy and Lady Gaga, who sang the National Anthem at the inauguration. None of this escaped Chrissy's notice. "OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!" Chrissy posted in response to journalist Gabe Fleisher's tweet that "official @POTUS account now follows 11 people — all of them Biden aides or accounts, and then @chrissyteigen." In subsequent tweets, she joked, "I can finally see the president's tweets and they probably won't be unhinged" and "I should prob never tweet again." A tweet from the @BidenInauguralCommittee seemed to be explaining the Chrissy follow when it posted, "Always an honor to have @JohnLegend make us dance, and @chrissyteigen make us laugh." And Chrissy didn't disappoint on the humor front after the inauguration. Trying her hand at her newfound Twitter power, she retweeted an angry and profanity-laced post from Seth Rogen about the outgoing president. "I just want potus to see this lol," she wrote.

Katy — dressed in a long, caped white gown with red bedazzlement along the side seams — performed "Firework" during the "Celebrating America" special after incoming President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn in on Wednesday, Jan. 20. In a video posted to Instagram late Wednesday night, Orlando showed off footage from the end of Katy's performance that showed her singing the hit against a backdrop of fireworks over the White House and National Mall. "One day our little girl will grow up and see her mother play her part in a moment in history that we hope will heal, we hope will unite, we hope, we love ❤️," he captioned the clip. "One proud partner here with a tear of joy🎆🙏." Near the end of the sweet video, Orlando gushes, "That was awesome baby. Great job baby," as he moves to kiss her. Katy responds by murmuring "I love you," and embracing her guy. Katy and Orlando got engaged on Valentine's Day back in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in August of last year.

The Kardashian-Jenner family recently wrapped their final day of filming "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." So what's in store for the group as they look ahead to their multi-year "global content" deal with Hulu? Something a bit new and different, according to "KUWTK" co-creator and executive producer, Ryan Seacrest. "I think they have a lot of ideas and [will do] a lot of things that they may have not had a chance to do with 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,' because it was such a strong franchise and people wanted what they saw from the family. And that's what they got for 20 seasons," Ryan recently told People. Though he didn't divulge any details, he added that his best "guess" would be the family hopes "to evolve a little bit" with their Hulu content, which is reportedly due to launch this year.
Bob Dylan, UMG face $7.25M lawsuit following historic catalog sale
Bob Dylan's historic, $300 million songwriting catalog sale to Universal Music Group is facing a legal snag with regard to seven songs. On Wednesday, Jan. 20, the estate of songwriter Jacques Levy — who co-wrote seven of the tracks on Dylan's 1976 album, "Desire" — filed suit against Dylan and UMG on grounds it should have been compensated for that music when the catalog was sold, according to the New York Post. The $7.25 million suit, filed by Levy's widow, Claudia Levy, cites a '70s-era agreement between Bob and Jacques in which Jacques would get 35 percent "of any and all income earned by the compositions" including 35 percent "of the purchase price paid to the Dylan defendants." In a statement to Variety, a lawyer for Dylan slammed the suit as "a sad attempt to unfairly profit off" the sale to UMG and asserted Claudia and her late husband's estate "have been paid everything they are owed." The sale was announced in December.

This week, 22-year-old Amanda Gorman became the youngest poet in U.S. history to perform at an inauguration — and she did so wearing a special set of jewelry given to her by Oprah Winfrey. During CBS News' live broadcast of the inauguration, Oprah's pal Gayle King revealed that the media mogul had reached out to Amanda in the hopes of gifting her a coat for the big day, as Oprah had done for Maya Angelou when she read at Bill Clinton's inauguration. Amanda, who wore a gorgeous yellow coat, black leather skirt and red satin headband — all by Prada — told Oprah she'd already picked out a coat in her favorite color, according to People. So Oprah instead gifted the young artist and activist a pair of gold earrings and a ring Gayle said was "shaped like a caged bird," as a reference to Maya's celebrated poem, "I Know Why the Cages Bird Sings." "I would be nowhere without the women whose footsteps I dance in," Amanda tweeted after the ceremony. "While reciting my poem, I wore a ring with a caged bird—a gift from @Oprah for the occasion , to symbolize Maya Angelou, a previous inaugural poet." Referencing her own inaugural poem, "The Hill We Climb," she added: "Here's to the women who have climbed my hills before."
Christina Ricci granted restraining order against estranged husband, James Heerdegen
A judge granted Christina Ricci a restraining order against her estranged husband James Heerdegen this week after the actress claimed he assaulted her while the two were in quarantine last year, TMZ reported on Thursday, Jan. 21. In her request for the order, Christina alleges James began abusing her in December 2019 and that in June 2020, he attacked her violently twice. She describes incidents including one where he allegedly "beat her," leaving bruises, "spit at her and made pig noises in her face." She says that when lockdowns began due to the coronavirus pandemic last spring, she "found herself trapped in a house with a violent abuser," as she had asked for a divorce but the two, who share a 6-year-old son, had not yet worked out any details at that point. (She filed to divorce him a week after one of the alleged attacks last summer.) Christina also claims that in June, he "dragged her by her wrists into their yard and threw her into a fire pit." The actress also notes in the documents that she's scared James will use audio and video he has of her to "humiliate and embarrass" or extort her. A lawyer for James said his client "unequivocally denies all allegations of abuse made by Ms. Ricci as having occurred in 2020." For now, James must stay away from Christina and their son, as well as the family's dog.
Neil Patrick Harris argues acting skill matters more than sexuality when it comes to casting
Unlike many of his LGBTQ+ peers in Hollywood, Neil Patrick Harris has no problem with straight actors playing gay characters. In fact, he thinks it can be kind of alluring when an actor stretches beyond their own sexuality for a role. "I think there's something sexy about casting a straight actor to play a gay role — if they're willing to invest a lot into it," NPH tells the UK's Times in a new interview about his role as Henry Coltrane in the upcoming AIDS crisis drama, "It's a Sin." The "How I Met Your Mother" star supported his opinion by pointing to his straight character on the long-running show. "I played a character for nine years who was nothing like me. I would definitely want to hire the best actor," he said. "In our world that we live in you can't really as a director demand that [an actor be gay or straight]," Neil added. "Who's to determine how gay someone is?" "It's a Sin" premieres on Channel 4 in the UK on Friday, Jan. 22.
Lil Wayne thanks Donald Trump for his pardon
Lil Wayne expressed his gratitude to Donald Trump this week after the outgoing president included the rapper on his long list of pardons on Tuesday, Jan. 19. "I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community," Weezy wrote on social media Wednesday. "I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!" The rapper previously pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a loaded weapon on a private plane in December. Because of a 2007 gun charge, Wayne is a convicted felon. As such, he could have faced up to a decade behind bars for the new charge had he not been pardoned. The rapper has publicly supported Trump in the past and was a co-signer on the then-president's "Platinum Plan," an appeal to Black voters.
