If there's any truth to the split rumors that keep swirling around Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin, someone may want to alert the seemingly happy couple — or at least tell Brendan he can leave his shirt on when he's doing yard work. On Monday, Aug. 26, Miranda shared a video of her man outside trimming away with a weedwacker on her Instagram. As she sneaks up behind him with a sweet, "hun …?" he turns around and smiles and laughs, clearly seeing she's been filming him. "'Way Too Pretty For Prison' w/ @marenmorris out now!" she captioned the clip, using it as a little promo for her new collaboration. "Speaking of pretty…house husband shirtless promo volume 2 #lawnhavemercy #thatgrasstho #livinonthehedge #loveisallweedneed #ihadto," she added. Maren, by the way, saw the post, too. "Choosing to believe he's listening to our song on those airpods," she joked in the comments. Miranda and the NYPD officer recently returned from a family vacation, according to Us Weekly. They're currently celebrating nine months of marriage.

Kim Kardashian West's trip to Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend was about more than her husband Kanye West's special Sunday Service, which he staged there in conjunction with Dave Chappelle's benefit concert for those affected by the Aug. 4 mass shooting. In addition to supporting Kanye on Sunday, Aug. 26, with North West and Saint West, Kim visited a prison outside Dayton as part of her ongoing advocacy work for inmates. That's according to TMZ, which reports Kim met with "officials, staff members and inmates," toured the prison facility with an eye to living conditions and learned about programs for inmates. Since helping to get Alice Marie Johnson's life sentence for a first-time drug offense commuted, Kim's continued pursuing a law degree and meeting with prisoners and their families in various cities.

Back in July, Miley Cyrus responded to a tweet about the MTV Video Music Awards saying there would be "no f—— way" she'd perform at the show. That was after the first nominees were announced. The day of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Demi Lovato made it clear on social media she was excited to see her friend Taylor Swift later that night at the show. Fast forward to the 2019 edition of the VMAs, though, and what's clear is how much has changed between the two. Right after Taylor won the Video of the Year award on Monday, Aug. 26, Demi posted on her Instagram Story, "I skipped the VMA's for a REASON," adding a jokey, "Well that and I just hate awards shows." On Tuesday, the Daily Mail — and a whole lot of Taylor's fans — suggested Demi's timing may not have been a coincidence. After all, Demi signed with Scooter Braun back in May — less than two months before Taylor learned Scooter had acquired her back catalog in a $300 million purchase of her old label, Big Machine. When Taylor slammed the sale in a Tumblr post accusing Scooter of having bullied her for years, Demi spoke out in Scooter's defense, writing on her Instagram Story, "I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He's a good man." Previously, Demi said in a 2016 Glamour interview she thought Taylor's "tearing down" of Katy Perry with her "Bad Blood" video was anything but feminist. But wait! There's more … of course. On the (much) more positive side of this nastiness are the Demi fans who noticed the singer spent most of the day teasing what appeared to be a new project. That's probably the reason Demi didn't bother with the awards show, her fans reasoned (via Cosmopolitan). It's also probably why Taylor's name didn't appear anywhere in Demi's "meh on the VMAs" posts. Fast forward to Tuesday and guess what? Demi announced she'll be playing a character named Jenny on three upcoming episodes of "Will and Grace." Too bad she picked the one scripted show on Prime Time currently hosting another … sigh … potential feud.

Prince William, Duchess Kate rename charity foundation, removing Harry and Meghan from title

As Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan settle into their new roles as parents and spouses, they've been working together to devise an approach to their philanthropic work that will best suit them as a couple. Meanwhile, Prince William and Duchess Kate have recently taken their first step towards defining their own charity work now that Harry and Meghan are no longer affiliated with the Royal Foundation that was once under the foursome's jurisdiction. According to People, new documents show Will and Kate have officially changed the name of their charity organization from The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. "Both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation's mental health program, Heads Together," the palace announced earlier this year. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are incredibly proud of what they have achieved together through The Royal Foundation. They are especially proud to have established a charity that has had, and will continue to have, significant long-lasting impact, changing lives for the better." Harry and Meghan announced in July their new charitable group will be called the Sussex Royal Foundation.

Wendy Williams and Nene Leakes seem to have ended their long feud with a night out … at a strip club. Page Six reports chatter about Nene's alleged encounter with Wendy's husband and Wendy's alleged involvement in the end of Nene's talk show all went out the window when the pair spent some quality time together over the weekend in New York City. They reportedly caught up at a party celebrating Rick Ross' new album before heading to FlashDancers where a spy told the tab they downed Don Julio 1942 tequila and tossed cash at the ladies shakin' for the audience. Nene later summed up the reconciliation in the caption to a photo of the two at Rick's party: "When you get the call that says … Sis, let's get off the bulls - - t and get on some real s - - t."

Pete Davidson insults university audience over their cell phone use during his set

Pete Davidson's appearance at Central Florida University on Monday, Aug. 26, reportedly went south after the comic began lambasting the audience about their cell phone use. Video of the set published by Page Six shows Pete telling the crowd that the "next time" a performer is "exhausted" after flying "to the middle of f—— nowhere" to perform for them, they shouldn't "ruin it" for those who "want to" be here by filming rather than listening. It wasn't clear, but seemed as if he'd also been set off by the audience's use of phones for other things. "That's why the world is going to end in 25 years because you're all f—— retarded," he said after seeming to call out one person who was filming. "I meant it that way, idiots. You should f–king grow up. It says no phones. …," he griped as the set continued. Multiple attendees later posted on social media about how uncomfortable the room became when Pete accused everyone of using their phones. That attendee said it had only been "a few" people. In a statement, a rep for the college told Page Six: "Mr. Davidson's abusive language, particularly his use of a derogatory slur, is contrary to the University of Central Florida's values of inclusion and respect for all. It's disappointing that his rant spoiled an event that was meant to welcome students back for the fall semester." Pete's rep did not return the tab's request for comment.

Luunn de Lesseps expected to complete her probation

Luann de Lesseps kicked off Tuesday, Aug. 27, just one day shy of the end of her probation. TMZ reported that morning the "Real Housewives of New York" was set to say "goodbye" to restrictions such as random drug and alcohol testing as of Wednesday, thanks to her completion of her year-long probation terms. The probation stems from Luann's Christmas Eve 2017 arrest in Florida, when she was brought in for her allegedly drunken behavior and for fighting with police. In May, she was cited for two alleged probation violations.

Meek Mill pleads guilty to 2008 gun charge, other charges dropped

More than 10 years after his arrest on a gun charge, Meek Mill is finally able to move forward. On Tuesday, Aug. 26, the Philadelphia-based rapper returned to court and pled guilty to misdemeanor possession of a firearm without a license, according to Page Six. As a result the other six charges he was originally convicted for in 2008 when he was arrested were dropped. He'd initially been found guilty of seven charges, three of which had nothing to do with the gun. He was eventually deemed to have violated his probation and sentenced to two to four years in prison despite prosecutors' recommendations he get zero time behind bars. As he served time, skeptics pointed to flaws in the case and seeming bias on the part of the judge. "I'm extremely grateful that my long legal battle is finally behind me and I appreciate that it has sparked a much-needed discussion about probation reform and the inequalities that exist within our two Americas," he said at the hearing this week. "I have always told the truth — that as a teenager, who saw many around me die from senseless gun violence, I carried a gun for protection. I take responsibility for that and – in conjunction with my work on the REFORM Alliance – I'll continue to use my platform to make communities safer and reform our criminal justice system."

A$AP Rocky won't get more jail time in Swedish assault case

Tuesday, Aug. 27, brought good news from court to A$AP Rocky, too. According to Page Six, a prosecutor handling the rapper's assault case announced he would not fight for more jail time for Rocky or appeal his suspended sentence in the case. "I have accepted the District Court's evaluation of the evidence, inasmuch as the use of whole or broken bottles during the assault has not been proven," the attorney said. "All three defendants have in fact been brought to justice for assault and the District Court has dismissed the plea of self-defense, something that I believe was important to clarify in this particular case." Rocky and his friends have maintained they acted in self-defense when they fought with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari and his friend in the streets of Stockholm on June 30. Rocky ended up spending a month in prison in Sweden after his arrest. He was also ordered to pay about $1,300 in damages.
