Charlize Theron weighs in on Angelina Jolie rivalry reports
Earlier this year, tabloid reports claimed that Charlize Theron was secretly dating Brad Pitt — and that his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, was mad about it because she and Charlize have a rivalry over roles that goes back years. The Brad-Charlize pairing turned out to be wishful thinking, but what about Charlize and Angelina's alleged beef? Bravo's Andy Cohen asked Charlize about it when she was a guest on "Watch What Happens Live" this week promoting her new comedy, "Long Shot," alongside co-star Seth Rogen. "I don't know her very well, I know her from events, but [she's] always so lovely," Charlize said of fellow Oscar winner Angie, as reported by Huffpost, calling reports of a feud "100 percent" false. "We really don't know each other, we're not friends [and don't] hang out. But she's never been nothing but gracious and lovely and warm." Seth then jumped in to claim that he and Angie "f—ing hate each other, though," drawing laughs as he added, "F— you, Angelina Jolie." When Charlize reprimanded him with a "What is wrong with you," Seth apologized. "I shouldn't say that, I am sorry. I apologize," he said. "I have literally maybe met her once in my life. She was lovely. We are in three 'Kung Fu Panda' films together. We are part of the 'Furious Five' or whatever."

Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas head to Los Angeles for mini-honeymoon after Las Vegas wedding
One day after they were married by an Elvis impersonator at a Las Vegas wedding chapel following the Billboard Music Awards on May 1, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas headed to Los Angeles for a mini honeymoon, Page Six reported. The couple — who reportedly still plan to have a larger, formal wedding ceremony in France this summer (People magazine reported that the Vegas nuptials were meant to simply make the union legitimate since it's difficult for foreigners to legally wed in France) — checked into one of six private accomodations at the exclusive San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood on May 2. (DailyMail.com has photos of the "Game of Thrones" actress exiting their private aircraft wearing a blanket and a "Just Married" pageant sash.) According to Page Six, the property, which was opened by Sunset Tower hotelier Jeff Klein in December 2018, has a strict no-photos, no-social media policy that requires even the most A-list guests to cover phone cameras with a sticker until they leave. "Joe and Sophie chose to start their honeymoon in a romantic place where they can enjoy complete privacy. They can order whatever they like to their bungalow, and not have to worry at all about being seen or photographed," a source told the New York Post's gossip column. The same day they checked in, Joe posted two photos of his bride on Instagram, captioning the gorgeous shots, "Hot Damnnnnnnn" with a fire emoji.

Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams react to Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew's death
Peter Mayhew, the 7-foot-plus English-American actor who brought Chewbacca the Wookiee to life in the "Star Wars" films, died at 74 on April 30, 2019, at his North Texas home with his family by his side, his loved ones revealed on May 2. As fans mourned, Peter's "Star Wars" co-stars shared touching words for their friend. "[He] was a kind and gentle man, possessed of great dignity and noble character. These aspects of his own personality, plus his wit and grace, he brought to Chewbacca. We were partners in film and friends in life for over 30 years and I loved him," Harrison Ford, whose Han Solo piloted the Millennium Falcon with Chewie, told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. (In a sweet callback to a famous Han Solo line, Peter's family responded to Harrison's "love" quote on Twitter: "He knew.") Harrison continued, "He invested his soul in the character and brought great pleasure to the Star Wars audience. Chewbacca was an important part of the success of the films we made together. He knew how important the fans of the franchise were to its continued success and he was devoted to them. I and millions of others will never forget Peter and what he gave us all. My thoughts are with his dear wife Angie and his children. Rest easy, my dear friend…. " Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill tweeted that Peter "was the gentlest of giants-A big man with an even bigger heart who never failed to make me smile & a loyal friend who I loved dearly-I'm grateful for the memories we shared & I'm a better man for just having known him. Thanks Pete." Billy Dee Williams, who plays Lando Calrissian, tweeted that Peter was "Much more than Chewie to me…My heart hurts…I will miss you my dear friend…thanks for the great memories!"
New photo reveals Jason Momoa is already growing his beard back
Just two weeks after Jason Momoa surprised fans by getting rid of his trademark beard — the first time he'd shaved since 2012, he said — it appears the "Aquaman" star is already growing it back. The actor was photographed on May 2 on his way into the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" studios in Hollywood with his former boss, "Game of Thrones" creator David Benioff (the men did a funny skit along with the other HBO series creator, D.B. Weiss, which Jason shared on Instagram) — and his facial scruff was heard to miss. In April, the former "GoT" actor used his headline-making grooming moment to promote the use of recyclable aluminum cans for water instead of plastic bottles. "Plastics are killing our planet," he explained as he shaved in a four-minute video he posted on YouTube.
Ashton Kutcher "expected to testify" in Hollywood Ripper murder trial
Ashton Kutcher will soon be on a witness stand. According to a Los Angeles County Superior Courts spokesperson, as reported by E! News on May 2, the actor is "expected to testify" in the current "Hollywood Ripper" murder trial of Michael Gargiulo. Michael, 43, is accused of stabbing Ashley Ellerin — a 22-year-old fashion student who was casually dating Ashton at the time — 47 times in February 2001. (Michael is also on trial in L.A. for another murder and an attempted murder.) Reports reveal that the "That '70s Show" star, then 23, had plans to take Ashley to some Grammy afterparties on the night of Feb. 21. When she didn't pick up her phone, he drove to her Hollywood bungalow assuming she had bad reception. When she didn't answer his knock, Ashton told police, he looked in the window and left after seeing what he thought was a trail of spilled wine leading to her bedroom. Ashley's bloodied body was discovered by her roommate the next day. According to a tweet from Law & Crime Network producer Cathy Russon, in the defense's opening statements, they claimed that "Ashton Kutcher will testify that he tried to call Ellerin even during the time frame Mr. Durbin was there. There is no DNA, no fingerprints, no evidence of who killed Ellerin." The defense claims Michael is innocent and had consensual sex with the victim before someone else killed her.
Kim and Kanye took famed French fashion editor Carine Roitfeld to Walmart for the first time
You'd be hard-pressed to find an American who hasn't been to a Walmart. But French fashion editors? It's understandable that maybe they wouldn't be as familiar with the ubiquitous U.S. bargain store. Thankfully for Carine Roitfeld — the high-profile former editor of French Vogue — she has Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West to help her out. On May 2, Page Six reported that in "what sounds like a scene from an André Leon Talley fever dream," it had learned that Kimye took Carine on a tour of their local Walmart in Calabasas, California, while she was in the Los Angeles area to shoot an ad campaign with her CR Studios production company. According to Page Six, Carine confessed, "They also took me to Walmart for the first time. It's a totally different setting but a great memory!" A source further told the New York Post's gossip column, "Evidently, [Carine] was never really familiar with Walmart — being a genuine Parisian, after all — but had wanted to visit one for a while." So what did she think? "She really enjoyed the experience!" the source told Page Six. "Seeing all of the different types of brands that run the gamut was something she had never seen before."
New legal woes for "Teen Mom" star Jenelle Evans' husband, David Eason
In recent days, "Teen Mom" star Jenelle Evans' husband, David Eason, has been in the headlines for allegedly beating, shooting and killing Jenelle's French bulldog, Nugget, after the pet nipped their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley. On May 2, TMZ confirmed that David was under criminal investigation for animal cruelty in Columbus County, North Carolina. The next day, TMZ reported that David is dealing with even more legal woes: He owed $5,187 in back child support payments for a son he had about five years ago with ex Olivia Leedham and if he didn't pay up by May 3, he would be held in contempt of court and jailed. TMZ has footage of David at a North Carolina courthouse where he threatened a WSFX reporter who tried speaking to him. "Don't get in my face, bro. I promise you don't want to do that," the outspoken gun enthusiast warned. According to TMZ, a judge gave the former reality TV star — who in 2018 was fired by MTV for posting a series of homophobic tweets — a few hours to get the money together; David did and returned to court to clear his debt. He and his ex have a tumultuous history: TMZ reports that Olivia previously accused David of shoving her when she was eight months pregnant with their child and leaving her in the middle of a road at night when she was seven months pregnant.

"Wanted to get @hillaryclinton a Christmas gift so I got a tattoo of my hero," he wrote on Instagram at the time alongside a photo of the inking on one of his limbs. "Thanks for being such a bada– and one of the strongest people in the universe." Hillary heard about it and hit him back: "Thanks, @petedavidson. This makes it significantly less awkward that I've had a Pete Davidson tattoo for years. But seriously, I'm honored. Merry Christmas, my friend." More than a year later on May 1, 2019, Pete and the former U.S. secretary of state unexpectedly ran into one another outside the "SNL" studios at 30 Rock in New York City — and one of Hillary's aide's took a photo of it and posted it on Twitter !
