Baby bliss
Baby on board! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are going to be parents for the first time. On Feb. 12, multiple outlets reported that the newlyweds are expecting. "The couple is keeping things very hush hush but their friends and family are super excited for them," a source told JustJared, which broke the news. A second source added that the couple knew they were expecting their first child when they attended the 2020 Grammys, where the Jonas Brothers performed "What A Man Gotta Do." Us Weekly further reported that the baby is due in the middle of the summer.

What went wrong
Jon Peters is dishing on his short-lived marriage to Pamela Anderson, essentially accusing her of using him to pay off her debts. Jon and Pam, who dated 30 years ago, wed in January then split after 12 days of marriage, though they never filed their legal paperwork so the union, nor the breakup, were ever official. On Feb. 10, Jon told Page Six he was an "old fool" for falling for Pam again and was hurt when things imploded with the "Baywatch" beauty after he paid off her sizable debts. A previous report from Page Six claimed the famed "A Star is Born" movie producer proposed to Pam over lunch with family and friends. "He had a friend 'officiate.' Essentially, it was a sweet ceremony, but ultimately, [no marriage license] was filed," a source said. However Jon said it's all a lie and claimed the marriage was Pam's idea. "Needless to say that when she texted me that she wanted to get married, it was kind of a dream come true even though I was engaged to someone else and the lady was moving in," he explained. "I dropped everything for Pam. She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There's no fool like an old fool."

Fashion fight
We have a feud! Natalie Portman and Rose McGowan got into it this week after the "Black Swan" star wore a cape to the Oscars that was embroidered with the names of snubbed female directors. On Feb. 11, Rose scolded Natalie, describing her as a "fraud." "The kind of protest that gets rave reviews from the mainstream media for its bravery. Brave? No, not by a long shot. More like an actress acting the part of someone who cares. As so many of them do," Rose wrote on Facebook. "I'm not writing this out of bitterness, I am writing out of disgust. I just want her and other actresses to walk the walk." A day after, Natalie responded, "I agree with Ms. McGowan that it is inaccurate to call me 'brave' for wearing a garment with women's names on it. Brave is a term I more strongly associate with actions like those of the women who have been testifying against Harvey Weinstein the last few weeks, under incredible pressure."

Charged again
The Jussie Smollett drama lives on. On Feb. 11, the former "Empire" star was indicted by a special prosecutor on six counts of disorderly conduct for falsely reporting an assault in 2019 — a move that comes nearly a year after an initial set of charges against Jussie was controversially dropped. In addition to the criminal case, Jussie is also facing a civil case with the City of Chicago over the same incident. Jussie, you'll recall, claims he was attacked in January 2019 in Chicago by two men. In the following weeks, the actor was arrested on multiple felony charges for allegedly staging the racist and homophobic "attack." Then in March 2019, those initial charges were suddenly dropped. Afterward, the City of Chicago sued Jussie to recoup its investigation costs, and Jussie countersued in late 2019. That lawsuit continues. TMZ believes that Jussie "will almost certainly" have to choose to plead the 5th in the civil case — to avoid self-incrimination — considering that he's now facing a new criminal case. The rub is that, according to TMZ, in the state of Illinois, "if a defendant takes the 5th in a civil case, the judge can tell the jury it can conclude that person is hiding something." Like we said, the Jussie Smollett drama lives on.
Awkward remark
Jim Carrey's off-handed remark to a female reporter didn't sit well with Twitter. On Feb. 11, the funnyman was being interviewed by a woman from Heat magazine when she asked what was left on his "bucket list." Jim's response: "Just you. That's it. It's all done now." The woman chuckled, saying, "Wow, I don't know what to say to that!" Jim said, "just own it." Was it flirty? Was it awkward? Twitter had some opinions. Some commenters called him "creepy" and said the response was "unacceptable." Others defended him, saying he was simply making a joke.
Surprise baby!
Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova quietly welcomed their third child in January, the music star revealed on Instagram on Feb. 13. "My Sunshine 01.30.2020," he captioned a photo of himself holding his newborn baby girl. Anna also shared photos on Instagram. Speculation that the couple had become parents again mounted earlier in the week following a Chilean radio station's interview with Enrique's brother, Julio Iglesias Jr. "My brother now has three children. He's very happy," Julio said. Fiercely private Enrique and Anna also quietly welcomed twins, Lucy and Nicholas, in late 2017. At the time, the news was somewhat shocking, since the couple had never even announced that the one-time tennis star was pregnant. The couple followed the same pattern again — they never announced that Anna was pregnant with baby No. 3. Congrats!
Marriage rumors
Mya got married — or did she? That was the question when, on Feb. 12, TMZ reported that the Grammy-winning singer secretly tied the knot in December in the island nation of Seychelles, which is located off the African coast. Who's her spouse? Great question as Mya hasn't publicly dated anyone in several years. On Valentine's Day, Mya revealed what was really going on: She married herself in a new music video for her song "The Truth."
Oscars recap
Another Academy Awards in the books, and it was a night that few could have predicted – at least when it came to the success of "Parasite," which dominated the awards, becoming the first foreign-language film to win both best picture and best international film ("Parasite" filmmaker Bong Joon-ho also won best director and best original screenplay Oscars). Also, Brad Pitt finally won an Oscar for acting, and rapper Eminem surprised the crowd by performing "Lose Yourself," which won him an Oscar 17 years ago. But, it wasn't all smooth sailing, as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences left Luke Perry out of its in memoriam package, despite his being one of the most notable celebrity deaths of the past year. The Academy said Luke wasn't included due to "limited available time." Afterward, his "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Tori Spelling tweeted, "Now two of the most creative and talented men I have ever known, loved, and lost have not been mentioned in the #oscars memoriam. First, my Dad Aaron Spelling who passed in 2006 and now my friend Luke Perry who passed in 2019."
Bond song
Billie Eilish's fans are shaken (not stirred). The singer's haunting new James Bond film theme song — titled, like the film, "No Time To Die" — was released late on Feb. 13, and it had already racked up millions of listens within just a few hours. She'll deliver a premiere performance of the track — which will be livestreamed on YouTube globally — at the 2020 BRITs on Feb. 18 accompanied by brother/producer FINNEAS, Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr.
Face craze
Let's face it, we have a new trend! Chris Brown made headlines this week after he got a new facial tattoo of the iconic Air Jordan 3 sneaker. Chris' tattoo artist, Joaquin "Ganga" Lopez, shared a close-up photo to Instagram, writing, "More tattoos last night for my brother @chrisbrownofficial. Here is this Jordan shoe that I did recently." This news isn't that shocking because Chris has purchased hundreds of Jordan shoes for years and has quite the valuable collection. Other stars who made headlines for their new facial ink in recent days? Post Malone and The Game (not surprising,) Amber Rose (fairly surprising) and Presley Gerber (huh?).
