Alan Alda revealed on July 31 that he has been living with Parkinson's disease. While speaking to "CBS This Morning," the "M*A*S*H" star said he was diagnosed more than three years ago. "The reason I want to talk about it in public… is because I've had a full life since then," he said. "I've acted, I've given talks, I help at the Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook, I started this new podcast." Alan has that while promoting his podcast — "Clear+Vivid with Alan Alda" — on television, he could see his thumb "twitch" in some shots. "I thought, it's probably only a matter of time before somebody does a story about this from a sad point of view, but that's not where I am," he explained. After his reveal, he wrote on Twitter, "I take boxing lessons 3 days a week, play singles tennis twice a week, and take a mild pill — all Dr. recommended. I even juggle a little. And I'm not entering dementia. I'm no more demented than I was before. Maybe I should rephrase that. Really, I'm good."

Call me, maybe?
The estranged wife of Miranda Lambert's boyfriend, Evan Felker, is alleging that the county singer won't stop calling her. Evan, too, won't stop calling, Staci Felker says. On Aug. 1, Evan's ex posted a picture of her phone log to her Instagram Story. The image shows that she was called three times by a number from Idaho, which she says is Evan's number. It also shows that she was called seven times by an "unknown caller," which she hints is Miranda using a shielded identity. "FYI, if you're crazy and crazy famous, this is how your number comes up," Staci wrote atop a screenshot of her call log. "Wife's number doesn't change. Seems problematic. 10 times in one night #insecure #rightfully so." She then shared a video of a crackling fire with the words, "The Idaho number is my husband. The other number is the person who is tired of him calling home." Shots. Fired.

Investigation
A rape allegation against Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has made its way to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. The DA will now consider whether to file charges. Late last year, former DREAM singer Melissa Schuman claimed that Nick raped her in 2002 when she was 18 and he was 22. According to TMZ, she alleges that Nick forced her into a bathroom and forced oral sex on her, then made her reciprocate. She also claims that Nick forced her to have sexual intercourse with him in a bedroom. Nick has denied that he ever raped the woman, saying their sexual encounters were always consensual. "I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman's accusations," he said after the initial allegations were made. "Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual. We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally."
