Rihanna urges world leaders to support global education funding

Harvard's 2017 Humanitarian of the Year Rihanna doubled down on her work to create more education opportunities around the world last week when she reached out to world leaders via Twitter and asked them to make budgetary commitments to the Global Partnership for Education. In tweets sent to Argentinian President Mauricio Macri, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron and the German press secretary of the Chancellor's office Steffen Seibert, the singer urged heads of state to join her foundation in supporting the world's only global fund dedicated to education in developing countries. "I know you had our backs during the #GlobalCitizen Festival. will you recommit Canada to #FundEducation?" she asked Trudeau (via EW). "@rihanna we've got your back!" Trudeau replied. "Thanks to @mclaudebibeau who made sure girls' education is in our feminist international development policy." Seibert and Macri replied as well, with Seibert assuring the singer, "education is a key area of German development policy. We have nearly doubled spending since 2013.Thanks for spreading the word!" Last year, Rihanna launched a scholarship program to help students from Brazil, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica afford colleges in the U.S.

According to People, Kris was "not thrilled" Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner spent the afternoon with their dad at a luxury car show. "It's a very complicated situation for the girls," a source tells the magazine. "Kendall and Kylie just won't speak with Kris about it. Caitlyn is their dad, but they also don't want Kris to be upset so they just won't talk about it." Kris is reportedly angry about some of the things Caitlyn wrote about Kris in her memoir, including Caitlyn's assertion that Kris knew Caitlyn identified as a woman when they were married.

Beyonce and JAY-Z's twins released from hospital

Two weeks after Beyonce gave birth to twins, the babies are finally at home with their mom and dad in Malibu, where the family is renting a sprawling, $400,000-a-month estate until they find a permanent house in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the twins were released late last week after being treated for minor medical issues related to their having been born premature. They reportedly stayed in the hospital for about a week and a half while their condition, which was believed to be jaundice caused by elevated levels of bilirubin, stabilized. As of Monday, June 26, Bey and JAY-Z had not yet announced their new additions' names.

North West and Penelope Disick were all about "Moana" over the weekend and the cousins celebrated their birthdays with a joint, Hawaiian-themed backyard party, complete with matching cakes. According to the slew of adorable pics Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian posted on social media (via E!), the throw-down featured actors dressed like the Disney movie's main characters, Maui and Moana, a petting zoo and a bouncy house. In addition to cake, guests chowed down on ribs, mac 'n cheese and rainbow-colored icey treats. North turned 4 on June 15 while Penelope turns 5 July 8.

The When-Will-Prince-Harry-Propose countdown continues this week, courtesy of The Daily Star, which claims to have some inside info on the engagement ring Harry wants to present to Meghan Markle sometime in the near future. The tab reports Harry commissioned royal jeweler Harry Collins to create an emerald and platinum sparkler out of a bracelet previously owned by Princess Diana. The ring is estimated to have cost nearly $130,000.

Late-night Glastonbury hang for Brad Pitt and Sienna Miller?

A new round of romance rumors is swirling around Brad Pitt and Sienna Miller. At a dinner following the April premiere of "The Lost City of Z," the pair were said to have been "seriously flirting," a claim Sienna dismissed as "predictable and silly." Over the weekend, however, both actors were photographed at the Glastonbury Festival where The Sun claims they hit the festival's Alice in Wonderland-themed Rabbit Hole bar together. The British tab quotes a source as saying Brad and Sienna "couldn't keep their hands off each other" and "seemed really intimate." The insider added that the two left together, heading for a private RV.

Ireland does — and she was happy to joke about it over the weekend when friends, family and costars roasted her dad for Spike TV's "One Night Only" series. "Hello, my name is Ireland, and I'm a Baldwin," she said from the stage, according to EW. "Yes, I'm a member of that family. The Baldwins," she continued before launching into her first of multiple jokes. "I see other recovering Baldwins here. Some cousins, uncles …," she told the audience at the Apollo Theater in New York. "I'm here to roast this big old ham I call my father. Speaking of pigs. Some of you may remember me as that thoughtless little pig you read about. That was a decade ago, and my dad and I are in a much better place now. He would never say something like that. When Ariana Grande turned 24 on Monday, June, 26, her boyfriend Mac Miller was one of the first to send her some birthday love on Instagram. "Happy Birthday to this adorable pure soul who has reminded me what being happy feels like," he wrote alongside a silly picture of the two sharing a kiss near the Eiffel Tower. Louis Tomlinson hints at 1D strife before hiatus

There was apparently some band turmoil for One Direction shortly before they announced they were going on hiatus. "It wasn't necessarily a nice conversation," Louis Tomlinson recalls in a new interview with the Guardian (via E! News). "I could see where it was going." Now that Louis, along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, are all working on solo careers, Louis has a bit more perspective on what was working and what wasn't in One Direction. Admitting that he was "forgettable, to a certain degree" when he was with the band, Louis explains what each member of 1D contributed to the group. "The others have always been … Like Niall, for example," Louis says. "He's the most lovely guy in the world. Happy-go-lucky Irish, no sense of arrogance. And he's fearless. There are times I've thought, 'I'd have a bit of that.' Zayn, back in the day. He could relate to me on a nerves level," he continues. "In the first year we were both the least confident. But Zayn has a fantastic voice and for him it was always about owning that. Liam always had a good stage presence, same as Harry, they've both got that ownership. Harry comes across very cool. Liam's all about getting the crowd going, doing a bit of dancing … And then there's me," Tomlinson continues. "If you'd asked me a year or 18 months ago, 'Are you going to do anything as a solo artist?' I'd have said, 'Absolutely not.'" Louis released his first solo single in December and is currently working on a new album.
