After 'The Family Stone," Diane Keaton went on to appear in films including "Because I Said So," "Mama's Boy," "Morning Glory," "And So It Goes," "Hampstead," "Book Club" and "Poms." The Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning actress, who's a single mother of two, also worked on television in projects like "Surrender, Dorothy," "Tilda" and "The Young Pope" and lent her voice to a character on "Green Eggs and Ham." More recently, Diane — who published books in 2011, 2014 and 2020 — starred in the 2020 romantic comedy "Love, Weddings & Other Disasters."

Craig T. Nelson plays college professor and Stone family patriarch Kelly Stone, Sybil's husband.

Emmy winner Craig T. Nelson went on to appear in films such as "Blades of Glory," "The Proposal," "Soul Surfer," "Gold" and "Book Club." In 2018, he reprised his starring voice role as Bob Parr aka Mr. Incredible in the animated sequel "Incredibles 2." The veteran actor has also taken his talents to the small screen — in addition to stints on shows like "My Name Is Earl," "CSI: NY" and "Monk," from 2010 to 2015, he played patriarch Zeke Braverman on "Parenthood." Since 2019, the "Coach" alum has portrayed Dale Ballard on CBS's "Young Sheldon."

Dermot Mulroney plays big-shot businessman Everett, the eldest son in the Stone family.

After "The Family Stone," one-time romantic-comedy king Dermot Mulroney appeared in films including "Zodiac," "Abduction," "Trade of Innocents," "August: Osage County," "Insidious: Chapter 3," "Sgt. Will Gardner" and "The Courier." As for television? Dermot landed a recurring role as Russell Schiller on FOX's "New Girl" from 2012 to 2018, starred on 2014's "Crisis" and played Sean Pierce on Showtime's "Shameless" from 2015 to 2017. He also landed main and recurring roles on shows like "Pure Genius," "Homecoming," "The Righteous Gemstones," "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Prodigal Son." Following his 2007 divorce from actress Catherine Keener, with whom he shares a son, he married Tharita Cesaroni-Catulle in 2008. They share two daughters.

Sarah Jessica Parker plays Meredith Morton, Everett Stone's headstrong girlfriend from New York City.

Claire Danes plays Julie Morton, Meredith's younger sister who's the object of Everett's affection.
