These wrestlers are killing it in Hollywood

They might have found fame in the wrestling ring, but these celebrities didn't stay in spandex for long. Wonderwall.com is taking a look at some of the stars who've managed to body-slam their way into successful Hollywood careers… beginning with Dave Bautista. He began his wrestling career with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as "Batista" but movie fans better know him as Drax thanks to the success of the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" flick. After earning the World Heavyweight Championship title, Dave appeared in numerous movies such as "Spectre," "Riddick" and "House of the Rising Sun." He's also set to reprise his role as Drax in the upcoming film "Avengers: Infinity War."

The most successful wrestler-turned-actor of all is People magazine's 2016 pick for "Sexiest Man Alive," Dwayne Johnson. The Rock's professional wrestling career was enhanced by his breakout performances in films like "The Mummy Returns" and "Walking Tall," which garnered him critical acclaim and a reputation for being able to deliver a box office hit. Since 2001, he's appeared in more than 45 TV shows and movies including, most recently, Disney's "Moana," "The Fate of the Furious," the "Baywatch" movie and the rebooted "Jumanji" film. In 2016, Forbes named him the world's highest paid actor thanks to annual earnings of $64.5 million. In 2017, he slipped to No. 2 — behind Mark Wahlberg — with estimated earnings of $65 million.

After beginning her wrestling career with WCW and later joining their rival, WWE, Stacy Keibler became one of the most recognizable female faces of the wrestling world. Dating George Clooney wasn't her only claim to Hollywood fame either: Stacy has appeared on numerous TV shows including "How I Met Your Mother" and "Dancing With The Stars" as well as in films like "Bubble Boy" and "Dysfunctional Friends."

John Cena is stiff competition for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Not only is he handsome, but he's made a name for himself as an action star and an on-screen sex symbol. He's starred in feature films like "Trainwreck," "The Marine," "Daddy's Home" and more, making John a hot commodity in Hollywood. He's even done some recent voice work including for the animated movies "Surf's Up 2" and "Ferdinand." John's latest movie was the April 2018 comedy "Blockers" co-starring Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz. During WrestleMania 33 in April 2017, John proposed to fellow WWE wrestler and actress Nikki Bella, but they split a year later just weeks before their wedding.

Nicole Garcia-Colace, better known as Nikki Bella, is one half of the WWE tag-team wrestling duo "The Bellas," which includes her identical twin sister Brie Bella. Since 2009, this wrestling diva has appeared on numerous WWE-produced TV shows as herself and even appeared in the 2014 film "Confessions of a Womanizer" with C. Thomas Howell and Gary Busey. She ended her engagement to wrestling star-turned-actor John Cena in April 2018.

Just like her twin sister Nikki Bella, Brianna Danielson, aka Brie Bella, has enjoyed a successful career both inside and outside of the wrestling ring. In addition to appearing on multiple seasons of WWE TV shows and an episode of "Psych," Brianna has lent her voice to video games and continues to star on "Total Bellas" with her sister. In 2017, she and her retired wrestler husband, Bryan Danielson — better known as "SmackDown" on-screen general manager Daniel Bryan — welcomed their first child.

He belonged to World Championship Wrestling (WCW) before it became a part of WWE and wrestled under the name "Big Sky" before launching his career in Hollywood in the mid-'90s. In addition to appearances on TV shows like "Party of Five" and "Son of the Beach," Tyler Mane has appeared in numerous feature films such as "X-Men" and "Troy" and even took on the villainous role of Michael Meyers in "Halloween" and "Halloween II."

Fierce wrestling diva Naomi has enjoyed a long history with WWE and has spent the last seven years as a constant figure on "WWE NXT," "WWE Next Event" and the reality show "Total Divas," among other network offshoots. In 2017, the crossover star — whose real name is Trinity Fatu — is set to appear in her first movie, "Marine 5: Battleground."

Fans may remember Mike Mizanin as one of the cast members on MTV's 10th season of "The Real World," which led to multiple hosting gigs and appearances on MTV's "Real World/Road Rules" franchise. In 2006, after appearing as a contestant on WWE's "Tough Enough," "The Miz" was signed to WWE as a professional wrestler and went on to win the World Tag Team Championship in 2008. In addition to playing himself on numerous WWE TV shows, Mike appeared on The CW's "Supernatural" in 2016.

If her last name sounds familiar, it's because Maryse Mizanin is the wife of reality TV star and WWE wrestler Mike "The Miz" Mizanin. She also happens to be a WWE diva in her own right: She's appeared in numerous WWE-produced TV shows as herself, as well as starred in "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" in 2015. She and her husband welcomed their first child in 2018.

Once billed as "Vinnie Vegas" when he was with WCW, Kevin Nash has enjoyed a successful career away from the ring. Although the majority of his TV appearances have been as himself, he also played Tarzan in "Magic Mike" and "Magic Mike XXL," Odin in the 2011 TV movie "Almighty Thor," and in 2017 will appear in both "Detroiters" and "The Fallen."

He's gone by many names, including John Hennigan (his real one), John Morrison, Johnny Nitro and Johnny Mundo, but his talent is undeniable, no matter what people are calling him. Since leaving WWE in 2011, this broodingly handsome actor has appeared in 23 movies such as "Russell Madness" and "The Chronicles of Rick Roll" as well as numerous TV shows including "Emerald City" and "Baby Daddy."

When WWE diva Eve Torres isn't throwing down her opponents in the ring, she's savagely pursuing a career as a TV star. In 2014, she appeared in the series "Matador," and in 2016, she picked up a recurring role as Maxima on "Supergirl."

His huge size landed this Australian wrestler and strongman the stage name Megaman. After suffering an injury during an arm wrestling match, Nathan Jones turned his sights to Hollywood. He first appeared in "Troy" in 2004, which led to multiple film roles including the terrifying Rictus Erectus in 2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road."

He was a wrestler in college who went on to join the American Olympic wrestling team as a soldier in the U.S. Army. As if Randy Couture wasn't enough of a bada–, he later became a UFC champion in both the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions. Since 2003, Randy has lit up the big screen, starring in all three "The Expendables" films as well as "Setup," "Hijacked" and more.

Compared to many WWE divas, Maria Kanellis had a short tenure in the ring before moving on to bigger and better things in Hollywood. In 2011, she made her non-wrestling series debut in the short-lived Funny or Die web show "Swallow." From there, she picked up roles in films like "The Opposite Sex" and "Church," which starred fellow wrestler John Hennigan. Maria recently wrapped up filming for the 2017 movie "The Getter."

Canadian-born WWE star Adam Copeland once went by the name "Superstar Edge" before taking the smackdown to Hollywood. He's enjoyed roles on TV shows like "Haven" and "The Flash" among others and starred in the 2016 film "Interrogation."

In 2007, David Otunga got his unlikely start in Hollywood by appearing as a potential love interest on the reality TV show "I Love New York." Instead of finding love with the show's star, David found a taste for fame. In 2010, he signed with WWE as his wrestling alter ego, "Punk." Two years before landing in the ring, David put a ring on actress and singer Jennifer Hudson's finger. Since then, he's appeared in numerous TV shows and movies, including the recent Netflix film "Sandy Wexler" starring Adam Sandler.

Diamond Dallas Page, known as "DDP" for short, spent close to a decade wrestling with WCW before joining WWE in 2002. Along with his illustrious wrestling career, he's appeared numerous times on TV and the big screen. He's even produced three films including "The Scam Artist," which starred ex-wife Kimberly Page. Most recently, Dallas wrapped up filming "Adi Shankar's Gods and Secrets."

Maria Menounos is one of the only WWE wrestling stars who didn't begin her career in the ring. In fact, this journalist, author and E! News television host had been a longtime fan of the sport and in 2009 made her debut in the ring alongside professional wrestlers Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly in a tag-team match against WWE divas Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes, with Maria's team taking the win. Since then, she's appeared numerous times both in the ring and out as a wrestler and a host.
