The 2020 awards season has finally come to an end, and its left us with no shortage of exceptional content to consume. From poignant films to groundbreaking television series and everything in between, the 2020 award season boasted a large selection of worthwhile winners. In celebration of these talented works, Wonderwall.com is listing off some of the most buzzed-about awards season winners you should stream whether you're watching for the first time or rewatching… starting with "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." Quentin Tarantino's latest work is one that has garnered tons of praise. Nominated for a whopping 10 Academy Awards, "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" was a definite favorite this season. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, the period piece tells the story of Rick Dalton, a fading star who finds himself struggling to remain relevant in a changing Hollywood. He has difficulty landing roles and as a result spends the majority of his time hanging out with his best friend and stunt double, Cliff Booth. Set in 1960s Hollywood, the film depicts the perils and shenanigans of a struggling actor and his closest companion while also hinting at a more grizzly subplot — Rick happens to live next door to filmmaker Roman Polanski and his young actress wife, Sharon Tate. "Marriage Story"

"Marriage Story," which was written and directed by Noah Baumbach, tells the story of the coast-to-coast divorce of Charlie (Adam Driver) and Nicole (Scarlett Johansson). The dissolving couple tries to keep their split as amicable as possible — for the sake of their 8-year-old son — but when lawyers enter the picture, things take a turn for the worse. The film, which has been nominated for Oscars, Golden Globes and SAG Awards, balances humor and poignance effortlessly and the end result is a movie that depicts the complexities of divorce in a way that feels lived and true to experience. "Fleabag"

If you have yet to watch an episode of "Fleabag," consider this your wakeup call. Created, written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, this tragicomedy series tells the story of Fleabag — a blunt, dry-humored young woman living in London who is coping with a recent tragedy while struggling to navigate romance and daily life while broken, confused and angry. "Fleabag" shows life from the perspective of a flawed and struggling yet all at once invigorating character. The series, which took home a plethora of accolades during the 2020 awards season including the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy TV series has been praised for its innovative and clever comedy. "Parasite"

"Parasite" is a film that transcends language barriers. Directed by Bong Joon-ho, "Parasite" explores class conflict as it tells the story of a destitute family that scams their way into the household of a wealthy family. The social satire made history too — it was the first Korean film to win a Golden Globe for best foreign-language film and the first non-English-speaking movie to win best picture at the Oscars. When Joon-ho accepted the honor at the Globes, he delivered a moving speech that called for people to broaden their scope of cinema. "Once you overcome the 1-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films," he said. "Just being nominated along with fellow amazing international filmmakers was a huge honor. I think we use only one language: the cinema." "Joker"

Starring Joaquin Phoenix, "Joker" explores the life of Arthur Fleck — a lonely comedian who struggles to create and maintain any meaningful connections in Gotham City. Feeling isolated and ignored by a society he wants so desperately to want him back, the film charts Arthur's descent into the maddening, mentally deranged criminal otherwise known as the Joker. The Todd Phillips-directed flick — which was nominated for 11 Academy Awards — is currently available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.

"The Act"

Inspired by a true story, "The Act" chronicles the early life of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a girl who tries to break free from her controlling mother, Dee Dee. The series explores the real-life case that captivated the world — the murder of Dee Dee, who had allegedly been abusing her daughter by faking her illness and disabilities. "The Act," which stars Joey King and Patricia Arquette, was nominated for various prizes including a SAG Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a miniseries or TV movie. The first season of the true-crime drama is available to stream on Hulu.

"Rocketman"

Directed by Dexter Fletcher, "Rocketman" is a biopic about the iconic singer-songwriter we've come to know as Sir Elton John. With his impressive roster of hit tracks serving as the film's soundtrack, "Rocketman" lively chronicles Elton's transformation from a soft-spoken pianist to one of the most beloved and successful musicians to ever live. "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"

"The Marvelous Mrs Maisel" is no stranger to awards show praise, and the 2020 prize show run merely validated what we already knew to be true — that this show is truly exceptional. Created and written by Amy Sherman-Palladino — who's also the mastermind behind "Gilmore Girls" — "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" tells the story of Midge Maisel, a New York City socialite and wife who foregoes her comfortable life to pursue her dream of being a standup comedian. Set in the late 1950s, the smart comedy series plays with the expectations of women during this time in the most hilarious and endearing ways. "Honey Boy"

Directed by awards season newcomer Alma Har'el, "Honey Boy" charts the rise of Otis, a 12-year-old child actor who begins to find success as a TV star just as his alcoholic father comes back into his life. The film, which chronicles this volatile father-son relationship over many years, was written by Shia LaBeouf and is based on his own upbringing. This compelling and at times shocking depiction of a child star's broken home life was one of the most riveting films of the 2020 awards season. "Fosse/Verdon"

"The Irishman"

"Avengers: Endgame"

"Succession"

"The Crown"

"Dolemite is My Name"

Starring comedy icon Eddie Murphy, "Dolemite Is My Name" tells the real-life story of Rudy Ray Moore, a controversial performer who created an alter-ego named Dolemite — an outrageous, larger-than-life personality who became a Blaxploitation phenomenon in the 1970s. "Ramy"

"Ramy" tells the story of Ramy Hassan — a first-generation Egyptian-American who struggles to navigate life as a 20-something Muslim in a millennial world. "Judy"

"Judy," which sees Renee Zellweger in the titular role, follows the life of Judy Garland, the beloved actress from "The Wizard of Oz." Thirty years after that star-making role, the troubled actress is in London where she performs sold-out shows at the Talk of the Town nightclub. Renee shines as Judy, offering an uncanny portrayal of the international superstar during some of her darkest days. Renee swept all four of the season's major awards shows, taking home a best actress trophy at the 2020 Oscars, the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the SAG Awards for her performance of the icon. "Game of Thrones"

This series that debuted in 2011 and wrapped in 2019 amassed quite the following over its eight-season run. Based on the bestselling book series by author George R.R. Martin, "Game of Thrones" delves deep into the lives of the powerful families that vie to gain control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the coveted Iron Throne. The popular (albeit occasionally frustrating) series is where stars like Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington got their big breaks.
