Think your mom's embarrassing? Imagine if she were known as the actress who suffered bowel movements in a bathroom sink during the most hilariously cringe-worthy scene of "Bridesmaids" — or if she were the star of the "Scary Movie" franchise. Now you know how it feels to be Melissa McCarthy's daughters or Anna Faris's son! While we empathize with the children of comedians, we have to say: We can't stop laughing at these funny women. To celebrate the May 4, 2018, release of the "Overboard" movie reboot, Wonderwall.com is taking a look at Hollywood's most hilarious moms, starting with "Overboard" star Anna. She made it big after headlining the "Scary Movie" franchise and showed off her comedic chops alongside Rob Schneider in "The Hot Chick" and Ryan Reynolds in "Waiting…" and "Just Friends." The hilarious leading lady — who welcomed son Jack with then-husband Chris Pratt in 2012 — plays a funny single mom in her newest flick and has brought the laughs in her starring role on the CBS sitcom "Mom" since 2013. Amy isn't just one of the most successful alumnae of "Saturday Night Live" — she's also a co-founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupe. She's starred in a host of funny projects including "Baby Mama," "Parks and Recreation," "Blades of Glory" and "The Interview." Amy has two sons with her equally hysterical ex-husband, Will Arnett: Archie, 9, and Abel, 7. Amy shared this hilarious parenting advice with The Daily Beast: "Always remember your kid's name. Always remember where you put your kid. Don't let your kid drive until their feet can reach the pedals. Use the right size diapers… for yourself. And, when in doubt, make funny faces." LOL!

"Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a master of both comedy and motherhood. The actress has been making audiences laugh since her time on "Saturday Night Live" in the 1980s. She went on to excel as the leading lady on "Seinfeld" in the 1990s, "The New Adventures of Old Christine in the 2000s and, most recently, on HBO's "Veep." Today, Julia has won more Emmys and SAG Awards than any other performer! With credentials like that, it seems likely that Julia's funny bone has passed on to her sons with husband Brad Hall, a writer — Henry, 26, and Charles, 21 (pictured).

Mindy Kaling is no stranger to the comedy world. The actress has brought the laughs since her time on "The Office" (she was also a writer on the NBC show) and continued to make us crack up with "The Mindy Project" and, now, "Champions." She's also starred in laugh-out-loud comedy films such as "This Is The End," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "No Strings Attached." The hilarious leading lady took on a new role in late 2017: full-time single mama. Mindy welcomed her first child, daughter Katherine, on Dec. 15, 2017.

"Saturday Night Live" alum (and former head writer) Tina Fey wrote, produced and starred on "30 Rock" — which boasted an impressive track record at the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards — and is also the mastermind behind "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." Plus Tina's hilarious autobiography, "Bossypants," topped the New York Times bestseller list. The funny star has two daughters with husband Jeff Richmond: Alice, 12 (pictured), and Penelope, 6. "Kids are definitely the boss of you," Tina told InStyle. "Anyone who will barge into the room while you are on the commode is the boss of you. And when you explain to them that you're on the commode and that they should leave but they don't? That's a high-level boss."

"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara has enough award nominations to prove she's one of the funniest women on television too. She's also one of the most gorgeous, which we imagine is the bane of her 26-year-old son's existence. The Colombian comedienne gave birth to Manolo when she was 20, but due to her ageless beauty, Sofia can still pass for her son's sister — or girlfriend! "I love that! Especially when they say he's my brother," she told the U.K. edition of OK! Magazine. "But he hates it if I'm with him and someone says, 'Oh, tell your sister to come,' and I don't correct them. He's like, 'Tell them you're my mom!' But I don't." Hah! Poor Manolo!

"Modern Family" mama Julie Bowen has two Emmy Awards that prove she's one of the funniest women on television. While the Dunphys might be hysterical, it sounds like the Bowen-Phillips clan could give the fictional family a run for their money. Julie and estranged hubby Scott Phillips, who announced their split in early 2018, have three sons: Oliver, 11, and 9-year-old twins John and Gustav. "I was terrified. I did not want twins as a second go-around," Julie told More magazine. "I should have been much more cautious. I should have had… half sex?" Fully hilarious!

"Saturday Night Live" alum Maya Rudolph played a newlywed in "Bridesmaids," but in real life, she's a mother of four. Maya and her longtime love, director Paul Thomas Anderson, are parents to Pearl, Lucille, Jack and Minnie. "We have a lot of living room shows," the "Sisters" actress told People magazine of her brood, "but I'm usually told to sit down and watch!" We wonder if Maya's kids will take after her or their dramatic dad, who directed "There Will Be Blood" and "The Master." Dark comedies? Not exactly!

Zooey Deschanel has been making audiences laugh for years now as Jess Day on FOX's "New Girl." The actress and singer earned an Emmy nomination and three Golden Globe nods for her work as the quirky teacher. Zooey also got her laugh on in "Elf," "Yes Man," "Failure to Launch" and other hilarious movies. We're sure she's making her daughter, Elsie Otter, 2, and son, Charlie Wolf, nearly 1, crack up at home!

When Eva Longoria welcomes her first child with husband Jose Antonio Baston, a son, in 2018, she, too, will be one of the funniest moms in Hollywood. The actress brought the laughs and drama on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and continued to make audiences laugh out loud starring on "Telenovela" and executive producing "Devious Maids."

"Mike & Molly" and "Gilmore Girls" alum Melissa McCarthy became a household name after her scene-stealing performance in "Bridesmaids." We won't recount the details of the food-poisoning scene, but we can agree it was one of the most epic comedic performances by an actress in a gross-out comedy ever. Since then, the actress has had leading roles in "Spy," "The Boss," "Ghostbusters" and more. Melissa and actor hubby Ben Falcone, who had a cameo as the air marshal in "Bridesmaids," have two daughters: Vivian, 10, and Georgette, 8.

"Live! With Kelly and Ryan" host Kelly Ripa mines her own life as a mother of three to generate laughs on her morning talk show. Her candor and ability to laugh at herself are two of the qualities that have made Kelly one of the most popular hosts in the history of daytime television. She and hubby Mark Consuelos are parents to Michael Joseph, 20, Lola Grace, 16, and Joaquin Antonio, 15.

Courteney Cox became a household name when she joined the cast of "Friends" as high-strung chef Monica Geller. But the sitcom that made her a star might not be her biggest hit. The mom of 13-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work as a divorced mom learning to date again on "Cougar Town." (Courteney has also produced and directed the series.) Sadly, when the hilarious actress suffered from postpartum depression six months after giving birth to her daughter, it was no laughing matter. Luckily, both mom and daughter are doing fabulous today!

The wife of "Frat Pack" writer-director-producer Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, has an equally impressive comedy resume herself: "The Change-Up," "Knocked Up," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Vacation," "Blockers" and the list goes on and on. The couple are parents to daughters Maude, 20, and Iris, 15, who have appeared alongside their funny mom in three comedies directed by their dad ("Knocked Up," "Funny People" and "This Is 40"). "That was Judd tricking me into using them," Leslie told the Orange County Register. Talk about funny people!

Tichina Arnold knows how to bring the laughs. The actress got her start as the hilarious Pam on "Martin" in the 1990s. She expanded her funny resume with starring roles on "Everybody Hates Chris," "Happily Divorced" and "Survivor's Remorse." Tichina is also a hands-on mom to 14-year-old daughter Alijah Kai Haggins, who's a powerful singer (just like her mama!).

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Suburgatory" star Cheryl Hines is mom to 14-year-old Catherine with ex-husband Paul Young. The actress shared the most ridiculous thing she's said as a mom in a chat with People magazine: "I've asked her not to do her booty shake at school. Somehow she's learned to shake it in a Beyonce sort of way. I don't want her to rein it in entirely, but I'd like her to use a little discretion; choose the right time and place!" Sounds like it won't be long until Catherine is just as funny as her mama!

Christina Applegate established herself as a comedic force when she was 16 years old playing promiscuous ditz Kelly Bundy on "Married… With Children." In January 2011, she welcomed daughter Sadie Grace with husband Martyn LeNoble. It was a true case of life imitating art: Christina went back to work just months after Sadie was born, starring on a new sitcom, "Up All Night," about a couple adjusting to life as parents after they welcome their first child. The leading lady has starred in several comedies since then such as "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," "Vacation," "Bad Moms" and "Crash Pad."

Stand-up comedian Wanda Sykes got her big break writing for "The Chris Rock Show," on which she also acted. She later starred in "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "License to Wed" and "Rio" as well as several of her own comedy series and specials. Wanda's wife, Alex, gave birth to their twins, Olivia Lou and Lucas Claude, on April 27, 2009. Wanda joked on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" of her sleepless nights as a parent, "I told my wife, 'If you ever find me in another woman's bed, I'm just there to take a nap.'"

Australian actress Isla Fisher proved she's just as funny as she is beautiful when she scored a breakout hit with "Wedding Crashers." She and funnyman husband Sacha Baron Cohen have two daughters — Olive, 11, and Elula, 7 — and one son, Montgomery, 3. Considering their parentage, we wouldn't be surprised to see these little ones develop a knack for comedy someday.

Comedic actress Ellie Kemper got her start making audiences laugh as Erin Hannon on "The Office" but has gained far more fame for her starring role on "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." The hilarious performance has earned her two Emmy nominations. Ellie has also starred in a few other funny projects such as "Bridesmaids" with some of Hollywood's other funniest moms. She welcomed a son, James, with husband Michael Koman in 2016.

"Scrubs" and "30 Rock" alum Elizabeth Banks has plenty of comedies on her resume including "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," "Wet Hot American Summer" and the "Pitch Perfect" film trilogy. We're guessing she won't be showing those flicks to her sons, Felix, 7, and Magnus, 5, anytime soon (maybe when they're teens?). The actress and husband Max Handelman welcomed both boys via surrogate, joking to Celebuzz, "I made a baby cake and I baked it in an angel's oven." Ha!

"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" star Jane Krakowski welcomed her first child, son Bennett, with ex-partner Robert Godley on April 13, 2011. "I think my baby already has a leg up on all other babies because the baby has already met Justin Bieber," Jane joked to People magazine at the time. "I couldn't believe it! I'm like, first my unborn child has already gone to the Golden Globes and now [he] has met Justin Bieber." The actress was nominated for four Emmys for best supporting comedy series actress for her seriously hilarious work on "30 Rock."

Former stand-up comedian Niecy Nash's first big break came on "Cops" spoof "Reno 911!" Today, Niecy is probably best known for her starring role on TNT's "Claws." The actress shares three children with ex-husband Don Nash: Dominic, Donielle and Dia. When Niecy wed electrical engineer Jay Tucker on May 28, 2011, TLC was present to capture the ceremony on-camera. The experience inspired the family's hilarious docu-sitcom, "Leave It to Niecy," but the married couple won't be adding any more children to their brood. "I wish I could give him a little chocolate, gap-toothed baby!" Niecy shared to the Huffington Post. "But I got my plumbing adjusted, so that's not gonna happen."

"How I Met Your Mother" star Alyson Hannigan and actor husband Alexis Denisof have two daughters, Satyana, 9, and Keeva, 5. The funnywoman's Twitter reads like an ode to motherhood: Alyson frequently posts photos of and anecdotes about her girls. Joking about playing dolls with her daughters, Alyson once wrote on Twitter, "Assembling a dollhouse with the help of a feisty kitten is not as easy as it sounds. #mysundaymorning."

Former "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd has a 12-year-old son, Jeffrey, with her ex-husband, comedian Jeff Tarpley. The couple split in 2006 when Sherri discovered her hubby was having an affair, but like a true comedian, instead of crying over her crumbled marriage, the actress used her experience to inspire her sitcom, "Sherri." Since then the actress has starred in a host of funny projects such as "Think Like A Man," "Top Five" and "Ride Along 2." (She also has a 3-year-old son via surrogate, Lamar Sally Jr., who is being raised by his father in the wake of Sherri and Lamar Sr.'s split.)
