This isn't the first time that Irish-American actress Saoirse Ronan — who's known for her work in "Mary Queen of Scots" and "Brooklyn" — has worked with director Greta Gerwig. Greta wrote and directed 2017's coming-of-age film "Lady Bird," in which Saoirse played the titular character (then earned a best actress Oscar nomination for her performance). Timothée's portrayal of 17-year-old protagonist Elio Perlman earned him a best actor Oscar nomination, making him the third-youngest person in history to ever be nominated in that category.
