Lil Wayne passes Elvis on Top 40 hits list
Lil Wayne has officially passed The King. As of Feb. 12, Lil Wayne's new album, "Funeral," is sitting pretty atop the Billboard 200 album chart — it's the rapper's fifth No. 1 album. Along with that milestone, four songs from the album have entered the Billboard Hot 100, giving Wayne his 82nd career top 40 Hot 100 hit — and pushing him past Elvis Presley to claim the second-most Top 40 Hot 100 hits in the chart's history bragging rights. Drake is at No. 1 with 100 charting singles. It is important to note that the Hot 100 started in 1958, two years after Elvis's breakthrough.

J.Lo blasts Super Bowl "too sexy" critics
Jennifer Lopez wowed the world during her amazing Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Shakira, but not everyone was so impressed with her moves. The show featured pole dancing, kids in cages and a children's choir. When asked at the Independent Spirit Awards on Feb. 8 if the show was too sexy, Jennifer answered quite succinctly: "I think that's honestly silliness." The superstar continued, "Both of us are really respectful performers who are moms and have kids and are very conscious of what we do. We [put on] a show that I believe was a celebration of women and our Latino culture that I think was really well reserved. And that small faction of people who want to be negative about it, I can't even let in. The message of standing up for yourself, being a women, that's what I want to pass on to little girls — everything about you, be proud of it. I'm very proud of the performance that night."

Snoop Dogg apologizes to Gayle King
It looks as if the Gayle King and Snoop Dogg feud is coming to an end. After the rapper made a slew of derogatory comments about the CBS journalist after the network teased a wide-ranging interview that Gayle did with basketball star Lisa Leslie with a clip solely focused on her question concerning if the late Kobe Bryant's "legacy is complicated" because of a 2003 rape allegation against him, Snoop announced on Feb. 12 that he owed the CBS anchor an apology. "Two wrongs don't make no right. When you're wrong, you gotta fix it. With that being said, Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions… me being angry at questions that you asked. [I] overreacted," he continued. "I should have handled it way different than that. I was raised way better than that. So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful." Gayle previously put out a statement telling viewers, "I know that if I'd only seen the clip you saw, I'd be extremely angry with me too. I am mortified. I'm embarrassed, and I'm very angry." Gayle reminded people that they were only shown a brief clip of the interview and that it was taken "out of context." Oprah Winfrey, Gayle's best friend, revealed that Gayle had been receiving threats on her life in the wake of CBS's decision to release the clip the way it did.

Billie Eilish debuts "No Time To Die" James Bond movie theme song
Billie Eilish's haunting new James Bond film theme song — titled, like the film, "No Time To Die" — was released late on Feb. 13, and by the following morning had already racked up millions of listens. She'll deliver a premiere performance of the track — which will be livestreamed on YouTube globally — at the 2020 BRITs on Feb. 18 accompanied by brother/producer FINNEAS, Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr.
Pitbull and Blake Shelton join forces for countrified dance song
Country and Latin music fans… unite! Pitbull and Blake Shelton announced on Feb. 11 that they have collaborated on a new track called "Get Ready." The modern country dance song is a rendition of the 1977 Ram Jam smash "Black Betty." Pitbull was unable to contain his excitement while talking about the track, going so far as to say in a behind-the-scenes video, "This to me is like when Run-DMC and Aerosmith did 'Walk This Way.'" The song is described as "a countrified pop-dance tune that perfectly fused both artist's musical styles and cultures with a music video that taps the best of both worlds."
Aerosmith drummer rejoins band after legal battle
After a messy legal battle, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has reunited with the band: During the rock group's Feb. 10 residency show in Las Vegas, Joey was back on stage. He took a leave of absence last year to deal with an an injury and TMZ reported on Feb. 7 that Joey was almost back to tip top shape. In January, Joey filed a lawsuit against the band after the said he wasn't playing well enough for him to perform with them during Grammy weekend. A judge sided with Aerosmith, saying, "Given that Kramer has not played with the band in six months and the dearth of available rehearsal time before the upcoming performances, Kramer has not shown a realistic alternative course of action sufficient to protect the band's business interests." The band felt like by taking legal action, Joey escalated the situation to a level that was unnecessary. The good news? Things seem to be much better now.
Courtney Love reveals she's been sober for 18 months
Courtney Love has a hit a major milestone! The iconic rock queen announced on Feb. 12 at the NME Awards that she is celebrating 18 months of sobriety. "I woke up this morning and I asked a friend like, 'Is it the 11th?' Because also today, the honor of picking up this wonderful f— you thing," she said, referring to her NME ICON Awards statue, which features a hand flipping a middle finger. "…I also have 18 months sober today. I can't believe that. That's pretty wild. Thank you so much I'm very honored." Congrats!
Music star deaths this week
Paul English, Willie Nelson's longtime drummer, passed away on Feb. 11 at 87 from complications of pneumonia. Paul (pictured) was a longtime member of Willie's touring band who started working with the musical legend in 1955. Paul became Willie's full-time drummer in 1966 and had been playing with Willie up until his death… Musician Joseph Shabalala died on Feb. 11 of natural causes at 78. The Grammy-winning South African was the founder and director of the vocal troupe Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The band remembered him in a statement, saying, "Our Founder, our Teacher and most importantly, our Father left us today for eternal peace. We celebrate and honor your kind heart and your extraordinary life. Through your music and the millions who you came in contact with, you shall live forever."
Chris Brown gets Air Jordan sneaker tattooed on his face
The celebrity face tattoo trend continues! Chris Brown made headlines this week after he debuted a new facial tat of the iconic Air Jordan 3 sneaker. Chris' tattoo artist, Joaquin "Ganga" Lopez, shared a close-up photo to Instagram, writing, "More tattoos last night for my brother @chrisbrownofficial. Here is this Jordan shoe that I did recently." This news isn't that shocking because Chris has been a Jordan collector for years. Other stars who made headlines for their new facial ink in recent days?
