Barbra Streisand calls out Trump in new song
Barbra Streisand is taking at shots at Donald Trump on her new album! The Hollywood icon opened up about her newest project, "Walls," during an interview on Sept. 26, explaining that lead single "Don't Lie to Me" addresses Trump. "I had to write this song," Streisand said of the track. "These times gave me energy." She references Trump as a man who likes to "change the facts to justify" his actions.

Former drummer accuses Beyonce of "extreme witchcraft," requests restraining order
A former drummer for Beyonce filed a lawsuit against the superstar singer on Sept. 21 alleging that Queen Bey practices witchcraft. In the legal documents, Kimberly Thompson claims that Beyonce "murdered my pet kitten" and has practiced "extreme witchcraft" and "magical spells of sexual molestation" to harm the drummer. Kim also filed a temporary restraining order request against Beyonce, which was later denied by the Los Angeles Superior Court.

K-Pop band BTS deliver speech at United Nations
On Sept. 24, BTS became the first-ever K-Pop band to speak in front of the United Nations as they addressed self-love and speaking up for yourself. "Even after making the decision to join BTS, there were a lot of hurdles," lead singer Kim Nam Joon said. "Some people might not believe but most people thought we were hopeless, and sometimes I just wanted to quit… We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge you to 'speak yourself.' No matter who you are, where you're from, your skin color, gender identity: speak yourself."

Gladys Knight, Ledisi to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin at American Music Awards
Several celebrated music artists are expected to pay tribute to late singer Aretha Franklin at the American Music Awards, Dick Clark Productions announced on Sept. 26. Gladys Knight, Ledisi, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans and musical director Rickey Minor will honor the Queen of Soul's gospel roots and her iconic album "Amazing Grace" at the show, which airs on Oct. 9.
Loretta Lynn to receive lifetime award at "CMT Artists of the Year" show
Loretta Lynn will be honored with an "Artist of a Lifetime" award at the all-female 2018 "CMT Artists of the Year" show, according to an announcement made on Sept. 25. Sissy Spacek, who starred as the iconic singer in "Coal Miner's Daughter," will present Loretta with the award at the event, which airs on Oct. 17.
Celine Dion announces end of Las Vegas residency
Celine Dion is wrapping up her Las Vegas residency! The singer announced on Sept. 24 that she will end her Vegas show on June 9, 2019. "I definitely have mixed emotions about this final run," she said in a statement. "Las Vegas has become my home and performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been a big part of my life for the past two decades."
Chas & Dave singer Chas Hodges dead at 74
Chas Hodges, a longtime member of the British music duo Chas & Dave, died on Sept. 22 at age 74. The singer suffered organ failure and passed away in his sleep, according to the band's official Twitter page.
91-year-old man killed after being struck by Gary Numan's tour bus
A 91-year-old man was struck and killed by singer Gary Numan's tour bus in Cleveland on Sept. 24. The bus was making a right turn when it struck the elderly man who was crossing the road while pushing a cart. "We are all utterly devastated by the fatal accident involving our tour bus in Cleveland earlier today," Gary wrote on Twitter. "Every one of us is filled with a sadness that made it impossible to even consider playing our show this evening, and out of respect it would have been entirely wrong."
