Cardi B charged with assault following strip club fight
Cardi B was charged with assault and reckless endangerment on Oct. 1 after turning herself in at a New York City police station. The rapper allegedly got into fight with a 23-year-old bartender at a Queens strip club in August during which chairs, bottles and hookah water pipes were thrown. "We are aware of no evidence that she caused anybody any harm from that night," Cardi's lawyer, Jeff Kern, told reporters. "We expect the matter to be resolved expeditiously." Cardi's due to be arraigned in late October.

Former rap mogul Suge Knight sentenced to 28 years in prison
Former Death Row Records owner Marion "Suge" Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Oct. 4 for killing a man with his truck and injuring another nearly four years ago. The 53 year old rap music mogul accepted a plea deal offered by Los Angeles prosecutors on Sept. 20 just a few days before he was expected to stand trial for attempted murder and murder.

Legendary Chicago blues guitarist Otis Rush (pictured) died on Sept. 29 at 84 from complications from a 2003 stroke. Jefferson Airplane guitarist Marty Balin, who co-founded the rock band in the '60s, died on Sept. 27 at 76. French singer-actor Charles Aznavour died on Oct. 1 at 94. The Beatles' chief recording engineer Geoff Emerick died on Oct. 3 at 72 after suffering a heart attack. Peggy Sue Gerron, the woman who inspired Buddy Holly's 1957 hit song "Peggy Sue," died on Oct. 2 at 78.

Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley opening food pantry with Tennessee university
Country music star Brad Paisley and his actress wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, are collaborating with Belmont University to open up a food pantry in Nashville, according to reports released on Oct. 3. "This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times," Kim said. "All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It's nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet."
Tina Turner musical headed to Broadway
A new Tina Turner musical will be opening on Broadway next year, according to reports released on Oct. 3. "Tina," a show based on the life of the legendary singer, will debut in New York City in the fall of 2019. The casting, performance dates and exact location of the musical have yet to be determined.
Sigur Rós drummer leaves band after sexual assault allegation
Orri Páll Dýrason, the drummer of Icelandic band Sigur Rós, has left the group after being accused of sexual assault by artist Meagan Boyd, who said on Instagram that he assaulted her in 2013 after they met at a Los Angeles club. "In the wake of the extremely serious and personal allegations made against him in recent days, we have today accepted the resignation of our bandmate Orri Páll Dýrason to allow him to deal with this privately," the group announced on Facebook on Oct. 1.
Led Zeppelin facing new trial over allegedly stolen "Stairway to Heaven" riff
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered a new trial in a case that claims Led Zeppelin allegedly stole the opening guitar riff for its 1971 anthem "Stairway to Heaven." The 3-0 judgement, decided on Sept. 28, threw out a June 2016 verdict that ruled in the band's favor, citing a series of errors by the trial judge.
Enrique Iglesias repeatedly kisses fan on Ukraine concert stage
Enrique Iglesias gave one lucky fan not one but three kisses onstage while performing in Ukraine on Sept. 30. Video posted on Twitter shows the singer planting a quick smooch on the woman, followed by a much longer one then a final quick kiss before she exits.
