Once upon a time, the only film festivals that got any mileage in terms of media coverage — and star wattage — were Cannes and Sundance. But New York's Tribeca Film Festival, originally founded to help revive Lower Manhattan post-Sept. 11 and now in its eighth year, has become the latest see-movies-and-be-seen event. Check out the bandwagon of celebs making the cinematic rounds this year.

After a brief pit stop in Barcelona, Woody Allen (here with wife Soon-Yi Previn) is back in a New York state of mind at Tribeca Film Festival's opening night premiere of "Whatever Works."

Not only did Woody Allen typecast Larry David as a neurotic New Yorker, he also recruited Evan Rachel Wood to play the Lolita girlfriend role in "Whatever Works." She arrived to the film's premiere fashionably late in this darkly charming vampire child bride ball gown.
