'24: Legacy' — Everything you need to know about the cast

The clock resets when "24: Legacy" debuts after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, 2017 — and we are stoked beyond belief! Kiefer Sutherland previously starred as Jack Bauer on the original FOX series — and on a 2014 revival — from 2001 to 2010. But now a new group of actors are set to headline the spinoff, which takes place within the same universe as Kiefer's "24." In honor of the series debut, Wonderwall.com rounded up everything you need to know about the new cast and characters. Corey Hawkins stars as Sergeant Eric Carter, the leader of a group of U.S. Army Rangers who are put into witness protection after successfully taking down terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. The series kicks off with Bin-Khalid's devotees hunting down the Rangers and murdering them one by one.

Corey Hawkins scored his first big break with 2015's "Straight Outta Compton," in which he portrayed Dr. Dre. The graduate of The Juilliard School also appeared in "Iron Man 3" and "Non-Stop" and portrayed Tybalt in the 2013 Broadway production of "Romeo and Juliet" starring Orlando Bloom. He's also starred as Heath on "The Walking Dead" since 2015 and is set to appear in 2017's "Kong: Skull Island."

Miranda Otto stars as the "brilliant and ambitious" Rebecca Ingram, the former National Director of CTU who stepped down from the job to support her husband, who's running for president. She's also the intelligence officer who assisted Eric and his team with their mission to take down Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid.

Miranda Otto made her feature-film debut in 1987 but is known best for portraying Eowyn in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." She also appeared in "The Thin Red Line," "White Lies Beneath" and "War of the Worlds," starred on the short-lived FOX series "Rake" opposite Greg Kinnear and portrayed Allison Carr on Season 5 of "Homeland" in 2015. The Australian actress, who once romanced actor Richard Roxburgh, has been married to actor Peter O'Brien since 2003. They welcomed daughter Darcey in 2005.

Jimmy Smits stars as Rebecca's husband, Senator John Donovan, who's campaigning for President of the United States.

Two years after he made his acting debut, Jimmy Smits debuted as Victor Sifuentes on "L.A. Law," which aired from 1986 to 1992. He won an Emmy in 1990 — and earned five more nominations over the years — for his work on the show. He then starred on "NYPD Blue" from 1994 to 2004. (Jimmy earned five more Emmy nominations and took home a Golden Globe for his performance as Detective Bobby Simone.) He also played Senator Bail Organa in the "Star Wars" franchise, portrayed Matthew Santos on "The West Wing," scored his 12th Emmy nomination for his work on "Dexter" in 2008 and has starred on "Sons of Anarchy" and "The Get Down." He was married to his high school sweetheart — with whom he shares daughter Taina and son Joaquin — until 1987. Before they wrapped up their divorce, Jimmy moved on with actress Wanda De Jesus. They're still an item more than three decades later.

Teddy Sears stars as CTU Director Keith Mullins, Rebecca's former second in command.

Teddy Sears made his acting debut in 2001. He's popped up on various TV shows over the years and starred on "Raising the Bar," "The Defenders," "The Flash" and "Masters of Sex." He also appeared in "A Single Man" and 2016's "Nine Lives." He married actress Milissa Skoro in 2013.

Dan Bucatinsky stars as CTU analyst Andy Shalowitz.

Anna Diop stars as nurse Nicole Carter, Eric's wife.

Anna Diop made her acting debut on "Lincoln Heights" in 2007. The model-actress, who was born in Senegal, has appeared on "Everybody Hates Chris," "The Messengers," "Quantico" and "Greenleaf."

Ashley Thomas stars as Isaac Carter, Eric's older brother — and Nicole's ex-boyfriend! The relationship between the siblings is strained due to their shared history with the same woman, but when Eric is forced to jump to action, he leaves his wife in his brother's care.

Ashley Thomas, who is known by his stage name — Bashy — in his native England, is still relatively new to the acting game. He made his television debut in 2010 and has appeared on episodes of "Black Mirror" and "The Night Of." He's released several mixtapes and EPs, plus the 2009 studio album "Catch Me If You Can" as hip-hop artist Bashy.

Charlie Hofheimer stars as Ranger Ben Grimes, the only member of Eric's former unit who's still alive after Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid's devotees start picking them off one by one.

Charlie Hofheimer made his acting debut in 1994's "Lassie." The former child star has since appeared in "Black Hawk Down," "The Village" and "Paranoia." He also portrayed Abe Drexler on "Mad Men" from 2010 to 2013. Charlie and actress Shannon Lucio are currently an item.

Coral Pena stars as CTU computer analyst Mariana Stiles, a cousin of the late CTU analyst Edgar Stiles, who died tragically during Season 5 of "24."

Coral Pena made her acting debut on a 2015 episode of "Blue Bloods." There were just two more acting credits on her résumé when she booked "24: Legacy." The newcomer was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Sheila Vand stars as Nilaa, Senator Donovan's campaign director.

Sheila Vand scored her first big break with 2012's "Argo," in which she portrayed Sahar. She went on to play the title character in the buzzed-about 2014 thriller "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night," appeared as Maureen James on "State of Affairs" and starred as Shakira Khar in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." The UCLA grad is also a performance artist and starred opposite the late Robin Williams during his Broadway debut in "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo."

Carlos Bernard returns to the role of former CTU analyst-turned-terrorist Tony Almeida on "24: Legacy." In a preview of "24: Legacy," Rebecca asks permission to "mobilize a special agent" before a weathered Tony is seen in an orange prison jumpsuit. Presumably, he's been spending time in solitary confinement since he was imprisoned for treason.

Since the original "24" concluded in 2009, Carlos Bernard has popped up on "Scoundrels," "CSI: Miami," "Hawaii Five-0," "Dallas" and "The Inspectors." He was married to actress Sharisse Baker, with whom he shares daughter Natalie, for more than a decade and is currently married to actress-artist Tessie Santiago.
