Anderson Cooper delivers emotional obituary for his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper delivered an emotional obituary following the June 17 death of his mother, famed heiress, author and fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt, from stomach cancer at 95. "The last few weeks, every time I kissed her goodbye, I would say, 'I love you, Mom,'" Anderson said during the on-air segment. "She would look at me and say, 'I love you too. You know that.' And she was right. I did know that. I knew it from the moment I was born, and I'll know it for the rest of my life. And in the end, what greater gift can a mother give to her son?"

Lindsay Lohan's Mykonos beach club closes, MTV show ends
That's a wrap! Lindsay Lohan's MTV reality show is finished, and her Mykonos nightclub that was at the center of the series appears to now be closed, a new report from Page Six revealed this week. A source opened up about the news, explaining, "There was a renewal idea that producers hoped would perk it up for a second season. It would be turned into a show about Lindsay and [her mother] Dina and [sister] Ali, [but] that wasn't going to happen. They wanted 'breakdowns.' [But] that's not where [Lindsay] is at with her life anymore. Their personal business doesn't need to be aired on television; it's already in the papers anyway." A rep for Lindsay confirmed she wasn't returning to the show but the star denied on social media that her Greek club had closed, though she quickly deleted her post.

"Game of Thrones" star Lena Headey talks about Cersei's death
Lena Headey — who played villainous Cersei Lannister for eight seasons on "Game of Thrones" — has finally opened up about the way her character died. "I wanted a better death," she told The Guardian. "Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn't have pleased everyone. No matter what they did." However, Lena does admit that she's OK with how Cersai went out — she and twin brother Jaime died in one another's arms as the Red Keep crumbled around them — even if she wished it had come during a fight. "The more we talked about it the more it seemed like the perfect end for her," Lena explained. "They came into the world together and now they leave together."
Jon Stewart slams Mitch McConnell during "Late Show" appearance
There's no love lost here! During an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," Jon Stewart did not hold back when talking about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund extension. After Mitch claimed that Jon was bent out of shape and that Congress would get to it when they got to it, Jon didn't hesitate to decimate the congressman. "These are the first heroes and veterans and victims of the great trillions-of-dollars War on Terror," Jon explained. "And they are currently dying, suffering and in terrible need. You know, you would think that would be enough for Congress to pay attention, but apparently, it's not… Basically, we're saying you love the 9/11 community when they serve your political purposes. But when they're in urgent need, you slow walk. You use it as a political pawn to get other things you want."
Chris Harrison says "The Bachelorette" star Luke P. is the show's biggest villain
That's a first! Chris Harrison recently got candid about the biggest troublemaker on this season of "The Bachelorette" — Luke Parker — and his relationship with star Hannah Brown. "We've never had a season where a villain — if you want to call Luke that — has such a prominent role, where they really dominate the landscape and storyline for so long," Chris explained. "Hannah likes Luke P., and the more he gets beat on and she gets beat on, the more defensive and angry she gets. Maybe it's a little immaturity and lack of perspective by some of these young men to realize the more you try and make it about Luke P., the more it becomes about Luke P. These guys, whether they knew it or not, were the ones really driving the bus towards Luke P."
