With adultery, explosions and characters who came back from the dead, it's hard to forget the residents of the classic Los Angeles apartment complex. Before Heather Locklear joined the cast of "Melrose Place" as icy ad exec Amanda Woodward, she had concurrent roles on the '80s soap "Dynasty" and the police drama "T.J. Hooker." The actress was also married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee for seven years until they divorced in 1993. Heather married Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora in 1994. They share her only child, daughter Ava Sambora. The couple divorced in 2006, but that's not the only drama Heather's experienced in her personal life since leaving "Melrose Place"…

In 1996, Heather Locklear was cast on "Spin City," where she earned two Golden Globe noms. It seemed as if things were looking up for the actress's career when she reprised her role as Amanda on the "Melrose Place" reboot in 2009, but the show was canceled after one season. Around that time, her personal life made more news than her acting. In 2008, she was charged with driving under the influence, and in 2012, she was taken to Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California, after her sister reportedly called 911 when she believed that Heather was in danger after drinking and taking prescription medicine. The actress reportedly entered a medical facility in Arizona for anxiety and depression in 2012. After dating "Melrose Place" co-star Jack Wagner for four years, Heather accepted a proposal from him in 2011, but the couple called off their engagement just a few months later. After that, the blonde beauty — who reportedly split from plastic surgeon Marc Mani in 2016 after three years of dating — appeared on "Franklin & Bash" and "Too Close to Home."

Thomas Calabro was the only cast member to remain on "Melrose Place" for the show's entire run from 1992 to 1999. Before playing Dr. Michael Mancini on the TV drama, the actor began his career in theater at Fordham University. He landed a coveted role as Oberon in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" after his classmate, Denzel Washington, dropped out of the play.

After his days on "Melrose Place" came to an end, Thomas Calabro enjoyed guest roles on shows like "Nip/Tuck," "Greek" and "Glee." In 2009, he also joined the cast of the short-lived "Melrose Place" reboot, reprising his role as Dr. Michael Mancini. Thomas has three children — Connor, Augie and Luna — from his marriage to Elizabeth Pryor. The pair divorced in 2006. Thomas will next be seen in 2018 on Season 5 of "The Last Ship," TNT's post-apocalyptic naval drama starring Eric Dane.

Laura Leighton became a fan favorite on "Melrose Place" when she joined the cast in 1993 as Sydney Andrews. But after her contract ended four years later, Aaron Spelling created a role for her as an aspiring actress on "Beverly Hills, 90210," where she earned a six-figure-per-episode paycheck. In 1998, she married "Melrose Place" co-star Doug Savant and went on to have two adorable children, Jack and Lucy. The couple also share parental duties for Doug's two children from a previous marriage, Arianna and Madeline.

Since her gigs on "Melrose Place" and "Beverly Hills, 90201," Laura Leighton has pursued many guest roles and starred on a few short-lived TV series including "Skin" and "Eyes." In 2009, it was announced that Laura would be returning as the allegedly dead Sydney Miller on The CW's "Melrose Place" reboot. When the show ended after one season, Laura went on to co-star on the hit TV show "Pretty Little Liars." She's been married to her old "Melrose Place" co-star Doug Savant (who's also the father of her two kids) since 1998.

Best known for his role as Billy Campbell on "Melrose Place," Andrew Shue is also the younger brother of actress Elisabeth Shue. Fans might not know this about him, but he is an avid soccer player. In 1996, Andrew played with the Los Angeles Galaxy major league team.

Following his stint on "Melrose Place," Andrew Shue went on to work with sister Elisabeth, brother John and brother-in-law Davis Guggenheim on the 2007 film "Gracie," which he co-produced and had a small role in. Andrew married ABC News correspondent Amy Robach in 2010. The actor has three sons with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney and two stepdaughters from his current marriage. In 2006, he co-founded a website called CafeMom which is made up a few different mom/parenting websites.

Grant Show's character, Jake Hanson, was first introduced on "Beverly Hills, 90210" as a manual laborer and close friend of Dylan McKay's. Grant's character was initially attracted to Kelly Taylor, but their relationship never took off because she was still in high school. Fans watched as Kelly and Jake continued their struggle to look past their age difference on "Melrose Place."

Since the end of "Melrose Place," Grant Show has starred in a number of TV movies, guest-starred on a few short-lived TV series and appeared on Broadway. The actor married Pollyanna McIntosh in 2004, whom he met while posing together for a Lane Bryant ad in 2003. The pair divorced in 2011. The next year, he wed actress Katherine LaNasa and in 2014, they welcomed daughter Eloise. In October 2017, Grant made his debut as Blake Carrington on the reboot of delicious '80s drama "Dynasty."

When Daphne Zuniga joined the cast, she was already an in-demand star thanks to a breakout turn playing a Princess Leia-inspired character in the hysterical Mel Brooks farce "Spaceballs" in 1987. And though her "Melrose" character started off as the "normal" one, viewers' insatiable appetite for almost-absurd drama took Daphne's Jo Reynolds on a downward spiral. "I remember trying to get my story straight on 'David Letterman' once," she said. "I'm kidnapped, I shoot the father, then his parents try to take the baby away. Then she's taken and nursed by crazy Kimberly… The whole thing was just bizarre." Too bizarre for her. She left after four seasons.

Since leaving the show, Daphne Zuniga has worked steadily in Hollywood in small films and on big television shows ("Spin City," "One Tree Hill"). She even rejoined the cast of "Melrose Place" when it was rebooted for a new generation in 2009. On the personal side, Daphne has kept a fairly low profile. She briefly dated actor Billy Marti but has never married and has no children. Most of her time is spent fighting the good fight in environmental activism.

"Melrose Place" was a coup for Rob Estes. Not only did his role as restaurateur Kyle McBride prove to be a perfect fit for his smoldering good looks and dramatic talents, but he also got to work alongside cast member Josie Bissett, whom he married in May 1992.

After waving a fond farewell to the show, Rob continued to work largely on television — including in a role on the rebooted "90210" — while also focusing on expanding his family with Josie Bissett. The couple welcomed two children: a boy, Mason True Estes, born in 1999, and a girl, Maya Rose Estes, born in 2002. Unfortunately, the couple couldn't make it work for the long haul and divorced in 2006. He found love again with Erin Bolte and the two were married on June 15, 2010. Nearly a year later, Rob and Erin welcomed a son, Makai Ever. Rob most recently starred on the series "Necessary Roughness" and later appeared on "Daytime Divas" and "The Night Shift."

Best known for her role as fashion designer Jane Andrews Mancini on "Melrose Place," Josie Bissett was on the show for more than four and a half seasons until she suffered a miscarriage with now ex-husband and co-star Rob Estes. After some time off from the hit show, Josie returned in 1998 for the final season. She and Rob have two children together.

Prior to reprising her role as Jane on the rebooted "Melrose Place," Josie Bissett starred in numerous TV movies; hosted her own TV show, "Parenting and Beyond"; and co-edited two books on parenting: "Little Bits Of Wisdom" and "Making Memories." She also penned a children's book titled "Tickle Monster." More recently, she appeared on ABC Family's "The Secret Life of an American Teenager." Since then, Josie has resided in Seattle. She married Thomas Doig on July 4, 2017.

Before landing the gig as good-natured gay social worker Matt Fielding on "Melrose Place," Doug Savant played a young Mac Mackenzie on the long-running nighttime soap "Knots Landing." The '80s was a great decade for Doug, as he also appeared in such films as "Masquerade" and "Teen Wolf."

Doug Savant found love on the set of "Melrose Place" — he married co-star Laura Leighton in 1998. When the adorable couple isn't hitting the red carpet together, they are caring for their two children, Jack and Lucy. Doug also has two children from a previous marriage, Arianna and Madeline. And when Doug's not playing dad to his precious brood, he's working. The actor wrapped the final season of "Desperate Housewives," where he played Tom Scavo for eight years, in 2012 and since then has popped up in guest-starring roles on shows including "Hawaii Five-O," "The X-Files," "Halt and Catch Fire" and more.

Long before Courtney Thorne-Smith was cast as the semi-neurotic Allison Parker on "Melrose Place," the actress made her first big-screen appearance in the 1986 film "Lucas." A fun fact about Courtney: She also dated her "Melrose Place" on-screen love interest, Andrew Shue.

Following her portrayal of Allison Parker on "Melrose Place," Courtney Thorne-Smith co-starred on the hit TV series "Ally McBeal" and "According to Jim." After a quickie marriage to genetic scientist Andrew Conrad ended in divorce, she married Roger Fishman in 2007. The couple welcomed their first child, Jacob Emerson, in 2008. Courtney went on to star on "Two and a Half Men" over five seasons.

When Marcia Cross appeared on "Melrose Place," it wasn't her first foray into soap opera-style shows on the small screen. A trained thespian who graduated from New York's famed Juilliard School, she'd previously appeared on soapy dramas "The Edge of Night," "Knots Landing" and "One Life to Live." Her resume — and enviable training — likely helped the actress survive the roller coaster her character would go on with Michael Mancini during the show's seven seasons. Off-screen, Marcia weathered a personal tragedy during the show's run. She lost her partner, actor Richard Jordan, who died after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1993. The two had been dating since the mid-to-late '80s.

After "Melrose Place," Marcia Cross nursed her broken heart by focusing on work. She racked up impressive credits on TV shows, most notably "Ally McBeal" and "The King of Queens," and won a series regular role on "Everwood." But those are simply afterthoughts compared with what came in 2004 when she was cast as Bree on the breakout hit "Desperate Housewives." Marcia's career was certainly on the upswing, and her personal life followed. She got engaged to financial adviser Tom Mahoney in August 2005 and married him nearly a year later in June 2006. The newlyweds welcomed fraternal twin daughters Eden and Savannah Mahoney in February 2007. Since 2015, Marcia has had a recurring role as President Claire Haas on ABC's "Quantico."

Almost 10 years before securing his role as the hunky Dr. Peter Burns on "Melrose Place," Jack Wagner topped the Billboard charts with his song "All I Need." The actor and musician then went on to star in his most famous role — Frisco Jones on the soap "General Hospital." Jack also fell in love on the set of the soap and married his on-screen love, actress Kristina Wagner. The couple, who have two children together, divorced in 2006.

Co-star coupling seems to be Jack Wagner's thing! In 2007, Jack began dating his "Melrose Place" colleague Heather Locklear. The couple announced their engagement in 2011 but called off plans to get married just a few months later. Jack went on to compete on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2012 but was eliminated early in the competition. He then went on to reprise his role on "General Hospital" for a few episodes in 2013. Jack has starred on the Hallmark Channel's "When Calls the Heart" since 2014.

Kentucky native Kelly Rutherford had been working for nearly a decade when she joined the cast of "Melrose Place" during the latter part of its run playing a prostitute-turned-doctor's wife.

After her success on "Melrose Place," Kelly Rutherford again struck gold when she landed a gig on "Gossip Girl," on which she starred for five seasons. She was married to a Venezuelan banker which last only six months in 2001. In 2006, she married European businessman Daniel Giersch, but it was short-lived. Kelly filed for divorce within three years while she was pregnant with the couple's second child. Daniel was deported — he now lives in Monaco — and he won physical custody of their children after a lengthy and headline-making custody battle with Kelly. Kelly ended up filing for bankruptcy in 2013 due to her huge legal fees.
