Look out, because a new TV version of "S.W.A.T." is coming! Inspired by the eponymous 1975 show, "S.W.A.T." is a crime drama based in Los Angeles. Etching the narrative further in its iconic history, the series was also made into a film in 2003. Shemar Moore takes the lead as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, a Los Angeles born and raised sergeant who makes the big decisions necessary to run the specialized tactical unit on "S.W.A.T."
A former model, Shemar Moore has been acting on television since 1994. His first notable small-screen role was on "The Young and the Restless." His career further evolved when he nabbed the part of strong and lovable Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan on "Criminal Minds" in 2005, a role he held until 2016. Shemar has also appeared in films like "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and "The Bounce Back." The Daytime Emmy-winning actor is currently dating American soccer player Shawna Gordon.

Stephanie Sigman portrays Jessica Cortez, the captain of L.A. Metro who is known for being a boss lady! She also carries on a secret relationship with Shemar Moore's character, Hondo.
Mexican-American actress Stephanie Sigman first showed off her acting chops in 2011 as Laura Guerrero in the crime drama "Miss Bala." Since then, she's appeared in films like "Pioneer," "Spectre" and "Going Under." You might also recognize her as Valeria Vélez from the first and second seasons of "Narcos." Lina Esco stars as Christina "Chris" Alonso, an expert officer on the team as well as its go-to canine trainer.
Lina Esco wears many hats including actress, producer, director and activist. She first gained recognition in 2007 on the CBS drama "Cane." She's appeared in films such as "London," "Kingshighway" and "Free the Nipple," which she also directed. On the philanthropy front, Lina is very involved in The Dolphin Project, a campaign under the International Marine Mammal Project, as well as the Free the Nipple campaign, which champions women's personal freedoms and rights.
Jay Harrington portrays David "Deacon" Kay, a member of Hondo's elite team who often feels like he was overlooked for a leadership role. Nonetheless, he's a dedicated officer.
Jay Harrington has had his fair share of TV roles on shows including "Summerland," "Coupling" and "The Division." From 2009 to 2010, Jay played the title role of Ted Crisp on the ABC sitcom "Better Off Ted." The actor has also appeared in films like "Anywhere but Here," "Catalina Trust" and "Whatever It Takes." He married TV host Monica Richards in 2016.
Kenny Johnson stars on "S.W.A.T." as Dominique Luca, the team's expert driver who's relied on to get the team out of their day-to-day high-risk situations safely.
Kenny Johnson is most recognizable as Detective Curtis Lemansky from "The Shield," on which he appeared from 2002 to 2008. After that, Kenny had recurring roles on shows like "Cold Case," "Sons of Anarchy" and "Saving Grace." He became a main cast member on the A&E drama "Bates Motel" during the show's third season and recurred on the fifth season of "Covert Affairs." Kenny married Cathleen Oveson in 2005. They have one daughter.
Peter Onorati stars as Mumford, a member of another L.A. unit who acts as an antagonistic rival to Hondo's S.W.A.T. team.

He also has TV credits on shows like "Sex and The City," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Crossing Jordan." Peter is married to writer Jeanette Collins. They have three sons.
