Actress Heather McDonald and former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Jim Bellino have come to an agreement regarding their defamation lawsuit.
According to TMZ, the feuding pair has settled and terms of the deal are confidential.
In a joint statement, Jim and Heather said they've "reached a settlement of the dispute on mutually satisfactory terms." The joint statement also says Heather "never intended to cause any of the damage" to Jim's reputation or that of his business, TMZ reported.
Jim, the ex-husband of Alexis Bellino, first sued the comedian in summer 2019 after she spoke about him during a live taping of her podcast, "The Juicy Scoop," with Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge. He said Heather "shamelessly dished and peddled unsubstantiated gossip" about his marriage.
"When the subject turned to Bellino and Alexis, the interview took a vicious turn," he said in his court filing. "Judge then offered and answered the question: 'Why is he wanting spousal support? I have a theory. Everything's in her name. He's going to go to jail.'"
Back in March, a judge dismissed the defamation case against Heather, who appeared often on "Chelsea Lately." However, Jim appealed.
Prior to the appeal, Heather told Page Six she was pleased with the judge's decision.
"I am really happy. I feel in a much better state now that we have an actual ruling in our favor," she said. "I mean, it's been a horrible last two years going through it all and it's definitely affected my business."
"When people bring on lawsuits like this just to have a chilling effect, it's so that people crumble up and die and roll over," she said. "I am by myself. I live in an average home that someone can just walk up to the door and knock, which is what happens when you get served. And it's terrifying."
