Melanie Brown out, Queen Latifah in?
According to a new report, that could soon be happening if "America's Got Talent" bosses get their way.
A new report from TMZ claims that "AGT" producers want to dump Spice Girl Mel B, 42, and replace her with none other than Queen Latifah, 47.
Production sources told TMZ that Mel has "been butting heads with people on set and producers think she comes with too much 'baggage' for the amount of money" she's getting paid, the site writes.
In October 2017, it was reported that Mel had asked for a $400,000 pay raise for her work on the show, which would have upped her total salary to $2.2 million a season.
TMZ reports that producers further soured on Mel as a judge during her dramatic and salacious divorce battle with ex Stephen Belafonte, 42, which played out during most of 2017.
Last August, she made headlines when she stormed off the "AGT" set after throwing a cup of water at fellow judge Simon Cowell after he compared a magic act on the show to her wedding night, quipping that it had "not much promise or delivery."
But TMZ claims that for all that tension on-screen, there's been even more behind the scenes.
That's why they are said to be eyeing Latifah, whom TMZ reports they'd love to hire ASAP so she could replace Mel for the next season — which starts taping in just five weeks.
However, Latifah is under contract on FOX's "Star," so it's unclear if she'd even be available. ("AGT" airs on NBC.)
If Mel leaves, she'll follow Nick Cannon, 37, who quit as the host of "AGT" in February 2017 when he was "threatened with termination by executives," he claimed, because he'd made a racially charged joke about NBC on his Showtime stand-up special, "Stand Up, Don't Shoot."
Tyra Banks, 44, took over hosting duties for Nick.
Mel B has been a judge on "AGT" since 2013, when she replaced Sharon Osbourne, 65.
If she does leave, she might not be out of work for long: She could be headed for another Spice Girls reunion, if recent reports about the pop group getting back together are to be believed.
The ladies fueled speculation when, on Feb. 2, all five Spice Girls — Mel C, 44, Victoria Beckham, 43, Emma Bunton, 42, Geri Halliwell, 45, and Mel B — appeared in a photo that Posh Spice posted on Instagram. Another pic she shared shows that the girl group's manager, Simon Fuller, 54, was also with them that day.
"Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower," Victoria captioned the image.
Emma also shared the pic and wrote alongside it, "Great catch up with my girls! #bffs always ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ the future is looking spicy!"
