A report from a celebrity magazine briefly sparked a dance floor feud between Bethenny Frankel and Tyra Banks.
Earlier this week, a report from OK! Magazine claimed that Tyra has essentially banned "Real Housewives" from participating in "Dancing With The Stars," a report that Tyra denied on Oct. 22.
It all started on Oct. 19 after an unnamed source told OK! Magazine, "[Tyra] thinks the show needs to aim higher and only book the ladies after everyone else has passed… Tyra has never been a fan of the 'Housewives,' but the real reason she doesn't want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore."
The report from OK!, which isn't the most credible magazine, touched a nerve with Bethenny, and she came hard at the supermodel.
"Good to know @tyrabanks has clumped me in her no more housewives mandate on @DancingABC. Also good to know-their casting director Deena, who I [love] has asked me to be on that show multiple x in the last decade. I'm also no longer a housewife, but nobody is bigger than the game Tyra," Bethenny tweeted on Oct. 22, according to a screen grab from Page Six.
Bethenny has since deleted the message, which she also addressed.
"I deleted that last post Bc I really like & have a great relationship with Deena Katz from #DWTS," the former "Real Housewives of New York" star wrote. "If @tyrabanks wants to come on my podcast, she is welcome anytime as she has built a successful brand on her own in her own way. #justbwithbethenny."
To date, several past and present "Housewives" have competed on the ABC show, including Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna and Erika Girardi.
Following the OK! report and Bethenny's fiery responses, Tyra, via her team, denied not wanting the first ladies of Bravo on the ABC show.
"This is 100 percent untrue," Tyra's publicist told Page Six. "She's a huge fan of the 'Housewives' and everyone knows Tyra is a businesswoman first. As a businesswoman, why would she say anything against the 'Housewives'? She has nothing to do with casting."
The rep added that Tyra "loves" Housewives' executive producer Andy Cohen.
"She's been on 'Watch What Happens Live' several times," the rep said. "She's a huge fan of the Clubhouse."
