Genes work in mysterious ways!
A video of Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, rocking out in dance class went viral this week after Blue's grandmother, Tina Knowles Lawson, marveled at how much the 9-year-old resembles Bey's younger sister, Solange.
"Thi is Blue but I swear it looks like Solange dancing at this age ❤️," Tina captioned the adorable clip, which shows Blue pumping her arms and stomping her feet as she spins around slowly, checking out what the other girls in her class are up to.
By the end of the short video, a few of Blue's classmates start trying out moves that match hers as they watch her dance.
According to JustJared, the clip went viral as commenters compared notes on Blue's dance floor similarities to her famous mom, 39, and aunt, 34.
For some, like activist, author and teacher Rachel Cargle, Blue's Beyonce DNA was clearly centerstage.
"The way she looked around to VERIFY that no one was on her level," Rachel commented, "… then went back to work. … BABYYYYY! This is Beys child!"
Another user joked, "Blue said 'hold my Juicebox real quick '😂😂😂."
Granted, not a lot of kids are on her level when it comes to music and performance.
Blue was just 8 when she won an NAACP Image Award for outstanding duo, group or collaboration for her contribution to Beyonce's "Brown Skin Girl" and a Soul Train Award for video of the year for the song's video.
Last month, she was added to the list of Grammy nominees for Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl," an honor she shares with her mom and Beyonce's collaborators, SaintJhn and WizKid.
