Is Brian Austin Green feeling "smothered" by Megan Fox?
Amid rumors that Fox and Green are parting ways, the 46-year-old "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor took to his Instagram, where he got uncharacteristically personal. In a post made on Saturday, May 16, Green posted a photo of two butterflies resting on purple flowers.
"Eventually butterflies get bored sitting on a flower for too long," he captioned the photo, seemingly alluding to his wife. "They start feeling smothered. It's a great big world and they want to experience it."
Fox, who shares three sons with Green, famously has a tattoo on her back that reads, "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies."
Green shared the photo shortly after his wife of nearly 10 years was spotted with Machine Gun Kelly. Fox, 34, and Kelly, 30, were photographed driving to get takeout in Kelly's Aston Martin on Friday, May 15, in the Calabasas neighborhood of Los Angeles. Before the coronavirus pandemic shut down production, they had been filming an upcoming movie, "Midnight in the Switchgrass," in Puerto Rico together.
Even before Fox was seen with Kelly, it seemed things weren't going smoothly for her and Green. Since last month, Green has been seen without his wedding band several times, and sources have revealed that the two have been living separately during California's stay-at-home orders.
This isn't the first bump in the road for Fox and Green's marriage. In 2015, the couple — who first met in 2004 when Fox was only 18 — filed for divorce. It was later revealed that Fox was pregnant with their third child, and the couple dismissed the divorce filing in 2016.
