Chrissy Metz had some serious arm candy with her while she attended the Words Plus Music Celebration in Los Angeles on June 29, and that man is her boyfriend, Josh Stancil.
The couple rarely makes public appearances together.
In January while attending a Screen Actors Guild Awards party , the "This Is Us" actress gushed about her man, who is a cameraman on the popular NBC show. When Entertainment Tonight asked her if she was "smitten," the actress said, "You know what? I think I am. It's such a blessing — really it is. It really is."
She added, "He is a sweet treat and he's wonderful."
Chrissy also said that while she's becoming a big time actress, she doesn't want their lives to fully intertwine.
"Here's the thing, he needs to have his own life," she said. "I don't want him roped into mine, so I just want to protect him. My little sweet treat."
A few weeks later, she dished on how they met.
"He was eating [with the crew]… I talk to everyone, [because] I love people, like I don't care what you do, we're all the same, we just have different jobs — so I was like, 'Oh my God, he's really cute,'" she told Wendy Williams. "So I said, 'Slow down, you're gonna choke on your food!' and he starts cracking up and I was like, 'Why did I just say that? Why did I just say that?'"
The two started talking, she said, "and it was like instant."
One of the couple's biggest problems, to date, is when she does kissing scenes on the show with on-screen boyfriend Chris Sullivan.
"Initially, I was like, 'This is gonna be weird,' and then he was fine with it," she said. "Then there was a really big kissing scene Chris and I did and he was like, 'I didn't like that.'"
"He's like, 'Truth be told…that wasn't my favorite thing' and I'm like, 'Well…' and he was like, 'And why did she have you kiss him 12 times?' And I was like, 'We just had to get the right shot,' she added. "So it's not his favorite thing."
