Victoria Beckham finally smiled in a photo — and her husband promptly trolled her for it

For years (OK, decades), Victoria Beckham was infamous for refusing to smile in photos. So when she broke her own rule on Tuesday, May 26, beaming unrestrained while snapping a selfie with her son, Cruz Beckham, the 15-year-old understandably felt compelled to use the pic as proof that, as he put it on Instagram, "Apparently my mum does smile 😃❤️." Victoria even gave the caption a "like." But don't get too used to seeing Posh Spice's heretofore hidden pearly whites. Not long after the post went up, Victoria's husband jumped in to drag her for the admittedly serious contrast between her dark tan and her electric smile. "How white are mums @victoriabeckham teeth ?" the soccer star joked, adding, "🦷 it's Ross from friends 😂." David's reference comes from Season 6 of "Friends," when Ross' attempt to impress a date by having his teeth whitened goes massively awry, leaving him with a mouthful of fluorescent white chompers. He eventually tries to mute the contrast by putting on makeup to lighten his skin … which we hope poor Posh doesn't feel compelled to try. Speaking to Glamour last fall, the designer explained that "the not smiling publicly" was an example of her "hiding behind [her] armor," something she's no longer as driven to do. "There's less of that now," Victoria continued. "There's something really liberating about embracing who I am at 45 years old and owning it, feeling confident, feeling content."

Goldie, 74, recalled on the Sunday edition of "Watch What Happens Live" that while she tends not to rewatch her old films, she couldn't help but laugh her way through the 1987 rom-com with her costar when it came on TV recently. "There was one time when Kurt and I were actually in bed and we were getting ready to snuggle and the TV was on," she shared (via Today). The couple of 37 years only had the boob tube on for an ambient light source, she explained, until they happened to notice what had come on. "It was us! It was us in 'Overboard,'" she said. "So the two of us forgot about what we were gonna do, and we ended up watching the movie. It was so fabulous. 'Oh, remember that one? That was funnier than I thought' or how we started looking at how we did together. It was great." Goldie and Kurt, who started dating a few years before the film's release, have previously shared the adorable story of their first date, which took place when they were filming "Swing Shift," one of the five films they've made together. After hitting the Playboy Club, Kurt told Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa in 2018, they continued their date at a house Goldie had recently bought. She didn't have the keys yet, so they broke in, sparking a visit from the police. Kurt said they've lived together ever since.

Despite Chrissy Teigen's best efforts to get Alison Roman's New York Times food column reinstated, the writer seems to be leaving the outlet for good in the wake of her critical comments about Chrissy and Marie Kondo's success. "This was a huge shake-up for me both personally and professionally, and I'm still processing so much, but know that I'm working on it and thinking about it 24/7," Alison shared on Instagram on Tuesday. "The issues brought to light by this whole thing won't be fixed overnight, and the healing process for many will be long, but I'm committed to doing the work to make it better." She said she will be focusing instead on a newsletter she started a few years ago but never launched. After she questioned the validity of Chrissy's business career, post-"Cravings," Chrissy spoke out about her disappointment. Alison quickly apologized — twice — and the two subsequently made up on social media. Chrissy later called the Times' decision to put her column on hiatus "a huge bummer."

Halsey reveals she broke her ankle loading the dishwasher; casually mentions she's studying for the bar exam

Beware the dangers of dish washing, friends. Halsey's been wearing a brace on her ankle and foot in recent social media posts and she revealed during a virtual interview with "Capital Breakfast" on Tuesday, she sustained the injury not from executing some daring stunt onstage but from a much riskier behavior. "I was loading the dishwasher and I pulled the door down to load the dishwasher and the kitchen floor was wet and I tripped over the dishwasher door," the singer admitted, according to E! news. "And after, you know, 2,000 live shows, where I'm jumping around for two hours, I finally fractured my ankle. In the kitchen. At my house," she deadpanned. It's possible Halsey was too focused on other things to have kept an eye out for water spills when she went down. In an Instagram post over the weekend, she shared a photo of the constitutional law book she's been reading, along with a tongue-in-cheek "law is hard" comment in the caption. When a fan asked why she was reading about constitutional law, she replied, "I'm studying for the bar exam!" In California, a law school degree is not required for those who wish to take the bar exam. According to the State Bar of California's website, just 28.6 percent of test takers passed the February 2020 exam.

Cardi B teases first new single since May 2019

Will Cardi B deliver this year's first official summer banger (if such a thing even exist in this time of social distancing)? Over the holiday weekend, the rapper teased the release of a new single during an Instagram Live session, according to NME. "My single is coming very, very soon, OK guys," she told fans. After joking that the ETA for the track is when "I lose weight – never," she assured users, "Nah, it's coming real soon, I swear. And y'all gon' love it." Cardi's last new recording consisted of a guest appearance alongside Anuel AA and Black Jonas Point on "'La Bebe (Remix)." She released the single, "Press" last year. And though she gave no further info about her latest recording, NME notes she previewed something new called "Respect" at the end of February, performing it herself before giving it to a club DJ to premiere. As of March, however, she was reportedly telling fans the release date was "[delayed] by the virus."

Over the long weekend, a fan account shared a video on Twitter tracking Carrie Underwood's career highlights in honor of her "15th 'Idol-versary,'" as they dubbed May 25, 2005, the day she won Season 4 of the reality show. Carrie was clearly touched and posted a nostalgic message when she shared the clip."WOW, I cannot believe it's been 15 years since my @americanidol win!!!" she wrote. "It's been an incredible ride and I couldn't have made it through without all of you guys!! THANK YOU so much for this sweet video!!" The award-winning singer was similarly emotional when she performed in Nashville in September and marked the 15th anniversary of her "Idol" audition. "When I was a little girl … if you had asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, I would have told you I wanted to be a famous country music singer," she told the crowd, according to People. "As I got older, dreams tend to give way to practicalities, so I started going to school to get a real job. One day there was an open door, and I walked through it and my life was changed forever."

It's been 20 years since Eminem made the jump from local Detroit rapper to chart-topping music phenom with the release of his "Marshall Mathers" LP, and he's celebrating by sharing his phone number. Sort of. On Monday, Em invited his "Stans" to holler at him at 313-666-7440, writing on Instagram, "'Dear Stan, I meant to write you sooner, but I just been busy' text me, ill hit you back," riffing on a line from his classic stalker/fan song, "Stan." According to NME, Em's post also featured a link to Community, the "conversation platform" celebs like Amy Schumer, Alicia Keys and others have been using lately to drum up interest from and connections with their fans. And yes, that means the number above is a Community text line, not Em's personal cell. The rapper will be chatting more directly with fans on Wednesday, when he hosts an online "Marshall Mathers" listening party, live on Spotify, that will involve a live chat.

New book claims Prince Harry, not Meghan Markle, wanted to leave the royal family and Meghan was simply supporting him

In a surprising twist to the British tabloids' seeming obsession with painting Duchess Meghan in a negative light, particularly since she and Prince Harry stepped back from the royal family, The Sun recently reported it was Harry who wanted to nix ties to the palace, not his American-born wife. According to Jezebel, the paper cited passages from a new book called "Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family," which apparently claims Harry had been "unhappy for a long, long time" with royal life. "He wanted to move in the direction that they did and had been considering it for more than a year," the writers state in the excerpt. "Meghan supported Harry's decision. But there was more than one occasion where she asked him if he was certain it was what he wanted. And she always made it clear she would support him in whatever he did." The report also points out Harry can't stand the adopted term for their departure from his family as "Megxit," and the implication she was responsible for their move.

"World of Dance" returns to NBC on Tuesday and for Jennifer Lopez, who's back as a judge (and executive producer), the series feels like a way to move forward in spite of what she described this week on "Today" as an "anxiety-ridden time." "It's like, 'OK, we've got to get up. We've got to start dancing again,' and that's what this show is about," the singer told Hoda Kotb. Not everything in Jennifer's life is moving forward like the reality series, though. Asked how her wedding plans were affected by the pandemic, J.Lo said she and fiance Alex Rodriguez aren't even setting a date for now. "Nobody knows because, really, there's no planning right now," she said. "You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out, and it's disappointing on one level. You know, after the Super Bowl and after 'World of Dance,' after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off," she explained. "Which is what we're doing kind of right now, but at the same time, you know, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year. But everything's kind of on hold right now." Hoda, who's engaged to Joel Schifmman, commiserated, saying she and Joel are also"not sure what's going to happen with our date." For now, Jennifer is trying to be positive. Chris Evans reveals anxiety issues nearly kept him from accepting the Captain America role

Chris Evans gave a nod to Mental Health Awareness Month on the latest edition of The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, where he opened up about the intense anxiety he struggled with around the start of his Marvel career. After appearing in movies with little traction, he'd begun to wonder if he was even on the right path and whether he was capable of making "a good movie," he told THR. In 2010, when he was filming "Puncture," he recalled the anxiety got more intense. "It was the first time I started having mini panic attacks on set," he said. "I really started to think, 'I'm not sure if this [acting] is the right thing for me, I'm not sure if I'm feeling as healthy as I should be feeling.'" When Marvel asked him to do a screen test to play "Captain America," for what would be a multi-film deal — something that could potentially make the anxiety even worse — he declined more than once. Finally, they simply offered him the part. After running the idea by his therapist, friends, family and "Iron man" star Robert Downey, Jr., he deiced to go for it. "It was the best decision I've ever made, and I really owe that to [Marvel chief] Kevin Feige for being persistent and helping me avoid making a giant mistake," Chris said, looking back a decade later. "To be honest, all the things that I was fearing never really came to fruition."
