Ed Sheeran is finding solace in the forest.
According to a new report in The Sun, the singer has been planting "dozens" of trees at his estate in Suffolk, United Kingdom.
"He's spent tens of thousands of pounds on the project – and Cherry's involved too as she's into re-wilding and sustainability," the source said, referring to Ed's wife, Cheery Seaborn. "A huge field where his outdoor wildlife pond will become a dense wood in a few years and he's planted trees six deep around the perimeter to afford him privacy."
The source noted, "It'll help reduce the carbon footprint of him being a touring rock star too."
Ed has been slowly acquiring land around his home for several years. As he owns five properties near each other, the area has affectionally become known as "Sheeranville."
The Sun said Ed's growing property now has a pub, swimming pool and spa, orchard, several greenhouses, an underground cinema, a gym, a recording studio, a wildlife pond and an area for livestock.
Much like his land, Ed's life has been changing, too. In summer 2019, he revealed that he and Cherry had secretly gotten months before. Then, in August 2020, Ed announced that he and Cherry had welcomed a baby girl.
"Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran," he wrote on Instagram on Sept. 1. "We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I'll see you when it's time to come back."
